Thanks for sharing this wonderful interview!
Such a humble man, love Tommy 🙏🏻
Appreciate your honesty. TommyJames!
Such a wonderful witness for The Lord!!! Bless him.
Tommy is such a decent, down to earth guy. He has really kept the small town, midwestern values of the southern Michigan, northern Indiana area where he grew up. 🧨
This guy was able to write iconic hits surrounded by vicious killers every day. And was able to survive.
Tom is the bomb, has mad RESPECT for the Shonndells, used the word WE a lot. Proves it pays to start young. Does good impressions also. Invented Christian Rock more or less.
So very interesting.
Tommy James is great. Really enjoyable to listen to. Tells a good story and seems like a real nice guy. The guy conducting the interview should probably be deleted from the video if that is possible. He adds like zero, and would not be missed. 😊
I agree.
Tommy has a great personality👍✌
Seems like such a nice, Christian person.
Southern Mi and Northern Indiana in the 60s had quite a lot of rock, folk groups entertain at universities and colleges. Many where from Motown. A couple popular venues were in SW Michigan. Shadowland Pavilion was at Silver Beach (Lake Mi)in St Joseph Mi. There was a outdoor venue north of Dowagiac,Mi at (5-mile)called the Sky-liner.The MCs at the Skyliner was Bernie Allen & Dex Card DJs from Chicago’s WLS radio. Both venues were popular with Chicago & Local youth in the summertime. Both were located near (Sister Lakes) where many Chicago residents had second homes. Another Niles Mi band the Sixth Generation was the house band at the Sky-liner. Located between Chicago and Detroit this area was lucky to have many popular 60s groups come through. Both music/dance venues of course were gone by 1971. The Skyliner closed due to money and management problems. I believe Shadowland closed due to violence that broke out in the summer of 1971.
when is the movie coming out? I hope that it wasn't shelved because of money issues.
I was there in the 60s, a baby boomer buying records.
I would like to send to to play the music that they play on the radio
Intro: don’t say arguably. That’s the so, work crowd telling you that your opinion, or even the actual fact maybe unacceptable to someone. Heck with it. Stand by your opinion and what is truly the facts (look at record sales)!
TommyJames ever meet Jeff Fenholt?
Today have the types of music being recorded by big labels: Rap, Pop Princesses (young and blond and no true talent), and country (which is pop-rock/country).
The host looks like he is really tired and could use a good nights sleep.
Lol. Even five years ago…no iPod. IPhone.
