Look over yonder what do you see?
The sun is a-risin' most definitely
A new day is comin' people are changin'
Ain't it beautiful crystal blue persuasion
Better get ready gonna see the light
Love, love is the answer and that's all right
So don't you give up now so easy to find
Just look to your soul and open your mind
Crystal blue persuasion
It's a new vibration
Crystal blue persuasion, crystal
Blue persuasion
Maybe tomorrow when He looks down
Every green field and every town
All of his children every nation
There'll be peace and good brotherhood
Crystal blue persuasion

I am so sorry, heard this in my Grandfather 1964 Ford pick up. AM radio was the only thing extra. I learned to drive on. The simple life. What happened to us ? Love you all ❤️

June 1969, I married my high school sweetheart. We left the church in my buddies 68 Dodge Charger, we were in the back seat. When Paul started the engine, this song was the first thing we heard on the radio. Really special meaning to me even after all these years.
I was born in '89. im 26. i wish i coulda lived in your era. you have golden memories.
The sixties and early seventies were a special time, it's hard to explain. Even with all of the unrest and political up heaval there was an innocence that rang through. The music was a message of love and hope that you don't find today.
Really ,You could hitch-hike anywhere and everybody stopped .
Dennis Riblett my dad said him and his friends would hitch hike, and instead of holding out their thumbs, theyd hold out a big bag of weed
Wow, wonderful...I was definitely born in the wrong era...
Drafted in 69, wasn't smart enough to say hell no I won't go. Many young Americans never had the chance to hear this great music. Hope they have a rock band in heaven.
This is a beautiful song.Love the video.
Sorry but the Iraq war as far as oil goes was the Bush's and only him, other people had other interest as far as artifacts from babylon, there are crates there that has stuff in them, marines was there that took that stuff out but where they took it nobody knows but it was not completely Oil. But like i said The Bush family was the only ones interested in the oil and the saudi's.
This was "our" song and the other part of "our" is sitting next to me and has been for the past 50 years.
So sweet, you brought a tear to my eye.
That's amazing.
Wishing you 50 more years
CONGRATS! BLESS YOU

Loved it in the 70's and still do in 2024, that was music back then❤❤❤❤❤❤

68 years old and still listening.
Thank you, stranger, a person who just passed by and shared a good mood!
With just one sentence, you changed my mood, my day, gave me a little happiness.
Thanks a lot!
God bless you, sir.
It doesn't matter how old this song gets? it's one of the best of all times. "WHAT AN WONDERFUL ERA THIS WAS". there won't ever be another or more beautiful song than this one. I don't care what anybody else says. It send a strong love message. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT.
Shevy B. Awesome song!! Definitely good vibes. My Mother was a hippy so I feel you...good music like this is rare nowadays
this s probably one of the most beautiful records ever recorded!! It has nothing to do with drugs. It is a spiritual song and one of his favorites. Tommy James said he was most proud of this recording and I am grateful he created it. It should be the National Anthem. God bless all souls whose hearts are this beautiful!!
Yes, I, too, will count this among the very beautiful songs recorded.. I do remember liking this as a teenager all those many years ago.
Well, that's it.. now I have to cook.
1969 was a great year for music.
This song is one example why.
Song isn't about drugs, it's about peace, loving your fellow man because we're all the same regardless of your, race, creed, religion, anything. I was born in 1963, and growing up it was so much simpler then. The world was a huge place, no smartphones, no internet. Phones were all hooked to the wall, and one color, with a heavy cord connecting the handset to the phone. You'd go outside and play games, not walk around with a phone in your face all the time. Now the world's become very small, with a lot more darkness known about thanks to progress. Not saying it's all bad, but if I could go back, I'd do it in a second and poof...I'd be back to such a better time...believe it
MikeMizz,
Also, you could look at a woman back in the day, without worrying that she was going to either declare sexual harassment or even worse, kick you in the gonads. I would go back in a second.
@@terryomalley9669 the exception to looking at women back then, was that her husband, father had the rights to kick you in the gonads, now a days we get arrested for doing that to you perverts and fools.
I agree 💯 😊
Mike you know what Eienstein the inventor said "Technology is going to make fools out of all of us if we dont corral it " .This is what has happened.I ride the train everyday and people no longer talk to each other anymore, they have headphones on their heads, or they are speaking on their phones. The "Twilight Zone " is no longer on television its on the streets of America. I went into a Stop & Shop and there was a huge robot moving about the store and about 9 people working inside the store !!!! 9 living souls in the store !!
ok boomer
This song was popular the Summer my father died. I was 9 years old and I still miss him every single day. 💔
1969-2019, 50 years have passed and this song is still beautiful.
This jam is timeless & will never get old, only the listeners. 19 in '69 & remember this like it was yesterday, here in 2024.
I'm 64 and was born in San Francisco. I just love this song. When they show the Haight -Ashbury sign in the beginning, reminds me of home. Be safe people, we will all be ok.
Yes we will
Love really is the answer
It’s 2021.... still listening to this song. STILL HOPEFUL. ♥️
Hard to believe this song is 50 years old. I remember it like it was yesterday.

One of my top 10 songs of ALL TIME.
My parents rented a summer cottage on Lake Huron in the earlier '70's. The radio was always on. Whenever I hear this song, the sun is just barely rising over the Lake. Dad and I are going fishing. Hardly a ripple and the poles are in the Yar Craft. Life is wonderful.
HUMBLE, I like to read the posts that tell a story that relates to the song. And I like your story (love you Dad).
Jeez, I still dance this song from the great Tommy James and the Shondells. Very nice song and rhythm too.
Crystal Blue Persuasion is a classic of a great time, it is a song which is timeless. LOVE Crystal Blue Persuasion, just love it and I will continue dancing it. Let the good times roll! YAY!
I recall sitting at a traffic light in my 67 GTO with this song playing. Back in the days when we believed music could shape the world, make it a better place! Youthful idealism......Love the song!
I think memories are a commodity that will soon be very valuable. write it all down, in depth, your feelings of the time etc...i do it, and post it online. just a way for people to live brief moments of my life in their mind...
I’m 59 and I do really feel music shaped me. There is nothing like the music I grew up with 60-80’s. So much good and meaningful music. We were so fortunate to be young in that era ☺️😌
we're all in our 70's now -- this is still such a great song!

We don’t realize how great we had it in 1969!
I rly wish I was a teen during the 60s sometimes to experience the crazy times
We never do.
That was the year my brother was killed in Vietnam and my Mom left us kids to fend for ourselves
An unbelievable amount of chill, peace and optimism emanates from this song.
Memories from a childhood I had forgotten, dreams of a future I have never seen.
We need to build a pedestal for this song somewhere.
Ken : feel the same way , I just turned 65 and still think this song says it all ! All the best!

This song can bring tears to my eyes.
When this song came out I was in 10th grade in LA. My brother was in Viet Nam,” He’d do two tours.” We all had lost someone to war.
This song represented a hope for peace and love in the world. I’d play this song over and over on the jut box at Gardunos on Whittier Blvd.
Young people then really thought that our generation could and would, make a change.
So, in 2018, when I re listen to this song, I sometimes cry.
D DOLLAR Hello my brother in law did not come out of it sane. How could anyone , being a door gunner in a helicopter you kill kill kill. God bless everyone

This was music. 50 years later, sounds fresh and better than ever. 60s please come back!. We need more of this.
"Maybe tomorrow, when He looks down, on every green field, in every town, all of His children, in every nation, there'll be peace and good, brotherhood..."
Was my hope when I heard this song as a kid in the 60s. Still is.

I was 12 when this came out and have loved this song ever since!!!!!!!
How can you hear this and not feel good?

For real...I am sober and all I want to say is "I love you, guys...". It didn't happen to me since I last took a trip years ago ( in 2008 ). So, yeah :)

Love this song! It brings back so many memories. Simpler and easier times. Hippies, love, and peace. Those were the days. If only I could go back to them. ❤
They were just riding off the hard work of those before them. That is exactly why we have an abundance of rich, leftist who horde their wealth and want the rest of all of us to pay for the social programs they support.
Reminds me of my mom.. I Love and Miss you so much momma❤🎶🎶
May she rest in peace
53 years old and sounds 👌good always and forever through time 1969
They don’t make music like this anymore…. 60 and 70 🎶
This song came out 21 years before I was born but it just gives me absolute chills every single time I hear it. Almost like a nostalgia and yearning for a time I never experienced. Anyone else?
I was 14 yrs old back in 1969 when this was hit. I'd go back and stay. So in love with a cute young lady in my neighborhood. And she was the 1st girl I ever kissed. 💏♥️

"Did you ever dream about a place that you can't recall ever having been to before? A place that maybe only exists in your imagination. Someplace far away, half remembered when you wake up. When you were there though, you knew the language, you knew your way around. That was the sixties." - Peter Fonda in the movie, The Limey
I'm 71 now and that may best describe the 60's for those who were part of the counterculture. It was a very special time.
"Crystal Blue Persuasion" is the blue sky of summer to me. Laying on blankets on grass tanning next to the pool, watching cirrus clouds floating by high overhead, this song on the radio... so long ago, yes. A day like today, actually. My retired dad is visiting from Florida, siting outside, the house with the pool long gone. I'm going downstairs to chat and smoke cigars with him. Peace
Fritz Idler Makes me wanna cry. This song is so special. Make sure you play it now while you’re sitting in the backyard with your dad smoking cigars
After my wedding we were so happy singing along with this song, riding along without a care in the world when a drunk hit us head on and my beautiful bride died in my arms. I miss you so much Susan.
Dad passed away, last summer. He led a good life, missing his wife for 25 years. Together again.
As a young girl I remember coming upon a family of hippies sitting at the plaza. I felt the love and peace all around them that that was the day I wanted to be one of them.. Dad said go ask your mother and mother said no. After fifty years I can still see their faces .
who cares who thinks what? be what you want to be , if it doesn't mean damage for others then it sallgoodman

E👺XACTLY!
Remind me of the peacful days of the 70 tirs❤❤❤❤
I was fortunate to grow up during this time, I miss the 60's. There will never be another time like it again.
Due to meth we have anarchy
And we all survived without the internet or cell phones. At least songs like this live on and take us back to a much simpler time. I don't begrudge the medical advancements that we've enjoyed over the last 50 years, but our world is moving way too fast for my taste. Just think if we had seriously addressed climate change 50 years ago, instead of leaving a less than desirable planet for our loved ones to inhabit. It's sad but true.
A message that is very appropriate and much needed in the current time!
I was thinking the same thing. That's why I came to listen to pay this song and see the comments. It's not elevator music; it's better than crap that's playing on the radio today. This song is very deep and was well written ahead of its time!
Same syop running now
I’m so blessed to have been raised to this type of music since I️ was a toddler ... my parents would always bump oldies and the vibe with people around was always great... there is honestly no better music that people can connect too then with oldies.. my uncle and mom are in heaven and I️ listen to oldies on their behalf
