December 1968: 11 years old, I hear "Crimson and Clover" on AM radio. Then "Sweet Cherry Wine" in the spring ... then "Crystal Blue Persuasion" in the summer. A very good year.
Tommy is one sincere guy. He really cares about his fans and makes time to talk with them in the meet and greet after his concerts. He still packs the halls with his fans. His fans are from every age group which is amazing.
I live in Florida and a place called the villages I just saw him a week this past Friday his show was simply fantastic and so was his band actually he sounds better today than he ever did God bless you Tommy and thanks for the handshake
I was just listening to the Best of Tommy James and the Shondells (on vinyl) this morning. The songs are still great! Really enjoyed this thoughtful interview.
Awesome!! I saw Tommy James and the Shondells @ the palace Theater!! In Greensburg Pa. We bought the book!! My 17 year old grandson was with me! He took the book, never put it down!! Loved it!! He has a little band trying to start out!! The Rusted Sons. He is the lead guitarist. They have a few songs on there! He is so impressed with Tommy James!! What my favorite group went through! We will never forget seeing all of them!
When I first clicked on this vid, I had no idea what to expect. What a blast! Great interviewer ad Tommy was so informative. I have never heard him talk before and always had the impression he was a way to serious dude! Love his work and have all his hits on Ipod. BTW i'm 70!
This guy is incredibly unpretentious. No star trip here. His insights abt Morris Levy and organized crime provide a window into the commerce of culture in America. Mr. James is one of the more unsung figures in modern pop/rock history. He has talked abt a movie based on the book. I have not seen anything further abt this. Does anyone have any information about this?
As a kid growing up in Baltimore I heard all these tunes so many times. Still enjoy them till this day. Was thinking bout crimson and clover yesterday. Very cool
Reading his book now, and it is AWESOME! I highly recommend it. Well written, chronological (how I like it), and I believe he tells it like it is/was. Gutsy guy, and sincere. Just an incredibly insightful interview this is. Will watch it over and over. (Didn't mean to steal a line from his hit song). :-)
I could listen to him talk about the 60s for hours. Cool guy with great tales.

Loved “I Think We’re Alone Now” in 10 Cloverfield Lane and it’s trailer. Don’t think there is any better fitting song for any movie
