I drive on one of the most populous College Campuses in the US. 50k Undergrads. "Bid Night" for Sororities is a big deal here. Basically at midnight all of the girls learn what house they got into and at 12:01am, they head out to celebrate. I had a group of girls try to force me to take 7 riders in my Uber XL. I politely informed them that I could not, as an XL ride was for up to 6 passengers. Eventually, after a LOT of whining, they agreed to call a second car. I took them roughly a mile to their destination and dropped them off. They were making snide comments about taking their friends for the majority of the ride, but I let it slide. Later the next day I noticed I had a 1 star rating and got a message from Uber that I had been reported for speeding. I reviewed my cam footage and confirmed that I never sped on the trip. I knew which house the girls were from because they all had on their sorority shirts, which is customary on bid night. I send an email to their house president along with the cam footage. I let them know that as an alum of the school, I was disappointed that they would lie in retaliation for not getting their way. I emphasized that they should be teaching their members to treat service workers with respect, ESPECIALLY if they are in their house colors. I had a response within a few hours stating that they would investigate and they were sorry that I went through that. The next day, the rider that ordered the uber texted me (I gave the House Pres my number) and apologized for the entire situation and how they treated me. They also retracted their report through Uber. Sometimes paying attention and a well written email can do wonders. Drive safely.

@@CA-oj4uc In a case where a driver is accused falsely of DUI (Driving Under the Influence) by a rider, several factors would come into play if it were brought in front of a judge or jury. Here's what judges or juries are likely to consider: 1. **Evidence Presented**: The driver has taken steps to prove their sobriety, such as visiting the police station and passing a sobriety test administered by a sergeant. This would weigh heavily in the driver's favor, showing that they were not under the influence. 2. **Intent and Malice**: The judge or jury would look at the intent behind the false accusation. If it's clear that the rider made the false claim out of spite or for personal gain (e.g., trying to get a refund or free ride), this would not be looked upon favorably. 3. **Impact on the Driver**: The suspension of the driver's account and the subsequent inability to earn money would be significant factors. Judges and juries often consider the tangible impact on someone's livelihood when assessing damages and fault. 4. **Uber's Response**: The handling of the situation by Uber would also be scrutinized. If Uber suspended the driver without sufficient evidence or failed to properly investigate the claim, they could be seen as partially responsible for the harm caused to the driver. 5. **Character and Reliability**: Both the rider's and the driver's past behavior and reliability would be taken into account. If the rider has a history of making false claims or the driver has a good record, this could influence the outcome. 6. **Legal Precedents**: Previous similar cases and their outcomes could also play a role. If there are precedents where riders were found liable for false accusations, this could support the driver's case. Given these considerations, a judge or jury might rule in favor of the driver, especially if the evidence clearly shows that the accusation was false and made with malicious intent. The driver might receive compensation for lost earnings and possibly punitive damages if the rider's behavior is deemed particularly egregious.

Uber doesn't really care whether these allegations are true or not. And Uber DOES NOT actually investigate anything,. They send the driver a strongly worded message on the app, and do the temporary suspension That's their CYA. This is why it is so important to be signed up for multiple apps so you can just switch when something like this happens. I had this happen to me several times, and the last time it was a 90 minute trip where I made 5 stops for the passengers. Then they made the false accusation 8 DAYS LATER. They just didn't want to pay for that long ride.
They know we will go looking for the rider who made the false allegation if they told us which rider it was, thankfully, we can now find out which rider it was through rideshare professor’s lawyers and take them and Uber to court for our lost wages
My Dad and I both drive for Uber. Last December he updated his card info, had an issue with it and went to customer service for help where all they did was basically stop him from being able to withdraw funds for a week for no reason. A week later he randomly got a report that someone said he was driving under the influence, and he was suspended for almost another full week. A couple months ago I updated my card info, had an issue and contacted support. Same thing happened, I couldn't withdraw money for a while. Then, a week later I got suspended for being suspected under the influence. I also hadn't given a ride for Uber for several days because Lyft was better at the time. After the same thing happening to both of us my first thought was Uber is doing this on purpose to get us to deactivate, or leave less drivers on the roads when there's too many. Both times this happened Uber was very slow in my area because the University was on break. I wish I could say I was surprised to hear you have similar suspicions
I have been driving for 10 years for Uber and have not had any of the issues you had , please find another gig or employment before the autonomous vehicles take our spots . Contract in negotiation as we speak . Most of your issues are auto response because apparently you will not call the call center and only use the AI , also if you use the rider app you will realize these are all auto response . You don't have to work for this company it's literally your choice , everybody threatening to sue is ruining a good gig ! It's not meant for full time employment !
Indeed. He "confused" the bot by misspeaking "driver" instead of "rider". The AI prompt is something like "respond to this message emphatically, professionally, but without providing or accepting any further information"...
Only time I ever reported a driver was when I had one in Boston who was by far the worst driver I have ever been a passenger of, in any vehicle I have ever been driven in in my life. It was to the point that I doubt she really had a license. She didn’t seem to realize that left turns on a green light are not protected unless you have a green arrow. And then on the freeway she started speeding and constantly changing lanes and cutting through traffic, without signaling or seeming to pay much attention to her blind spot.
Maybe before a driver accepts a ride, Uber could tell the driver how many complaints a rider has filed, giving the driver a chance to decline a higher risk client.
Here in Dallas they're doing it with Uber Black and BlackSUV. I got sideswiped by one the other morning. He didn't speak any English. Failed to stop and when I confronted him at the airport, he said no, he did not hit me. Fortunately it only popped my mirror back.
This is ridiculous, even more so by your recent drive history. I have had some ludicrous conversations with Uber Support and have been able to get a real person to reply (I think), though I’m in Canada and we could have different support systems. Whenever you have a response that doesn’t fit the bot template, things get dicey. Best wishes for no more “reports”.
A company such as uber is most definitely owned by manipulative creeps dressed up as a business, guarantee you! Have to say those that randomly called to complain about something that didn't happen...who does that? Unbelievable Eddie that you haven't taken their asses to court a long time ago, that's a lot of time you lost out for a liar and a business that doesn't deserve jack💩! Make sure you are keeping track of every time and the actual videos, they don't deserve a business in the service industry period. Hope things get better, you definitely deserve better!👍❤️
The most insulting part about this is that their message looks like a generic template support response but the English is strange--"we do not just always listen on the rider's side", "fair judgement in result of our investigation", etc. so it looks like Uber couldn't even be bothered to have a native speaker or even ChatGPT write their copy/paste responses for them and farmed it out to someone offshore.
As a ex food delivery driver.. im sure you know the services dont actually care about their at face value approvable drivers.. theyll wipe their hands clean of any liability in any way as fast as possible guilty or not guilty
I go to a pick up at an apartment complex - no rider. I wait, then call - person answering confirms my location - I ask where they are. The guy is walking to the apartment where I am (where his friend lives - wants a ride for both of them and asks me to wait). 1st ride of the day (probably a Monday!!) - I'm sitting there thinking I'll cancel when the guy's friend who lives at the apartment comes out and wants to sit in the car and wait. I tell him no, he can't get in and then when trying to cancel the ride it actually executes/confirms the pick up?!? So I drive away, still not sure what's going on or what I'm doing. Then the walking rider calls me and it dawns on me that maybe he completed the pick-up on his end. Now he wants to know where I am and if his buddy is in the car. At this point I realize I can drive to his destination without him (and his buddy) and get paid for the ride (while charging him). So that's what I do (and tell him that's what I'm doing while he's on the phone). All of this is happening as I drive past a pedestrian talking on a cell phone and I realize it's him. I got paid for the ride. No complaint filed that I ever heard about. You can play the ineptness of the scenario to your benefit. This wasn't the only time I did something like this.
Its corporate america. Not only do they not care about you, but most of the time those in charge are so dumb it makes you wonder how they got the job in the first place. Some people suck and sadly its people like us who suffer
Seek attorneys for litigation, maybe class action. Had an issue in a tech co that wanted me to map s.f. for 2 weeks. Not sure if Labor Commission has jurisdiction here, but if you can't find an attorney, why not contact them & ask???
July 4th week and the weekends were TERRIBLE in Dallas/Fort Worth. And I have had similar false accusations before. Like you, when I try to dispute and get info, they stonewall me and won't give me any info about that ride. Fuckers.
Honestly ... I'm no lawyer but I sure would get one Because I believe that the day they suspended you And they stopped you from making money And you have video evidence that you were not in the wrong And they wouldn't accept it I believe they have to pay triple damages of the maximum that you've made during your time working there The fact that everything is well documented And the people who made the complaint might even be responsible Depending on the Lawyer you get
It is 100% a bot and it responds based on keywords only. You made the mistake of calling yourself the rider instead of the driver and your immediate correction was simply overshadowed because the previous comment had more context for them to respond on. The thing with talking to these bots is it’s best to just give short and direct statements cause it’s only looking for certain keywords to respond to.

I think you hit the nail on the head, the response was AI generated, or at the very least automated based on keywords. Just added frustration to the situation :/
I'm a driver. Back in January, I had a man leave his phone in my car at 3am. My work night ended around 5 am. Usually, I'll leave the item until I wake up. Then, if I don't have a message from the company or the rider, I reach out to them. I was homeless when this was going on, and I had a friend of my mom's take me in for what was supposed to be up 3 months while I saved and got back on my feet. Well, instead of reaching out to the company, or even to me, the dude took it upon himself to trace his phone, and he showed up at the lady's house I was staying at. She stepped outside and saw a man looking in my car. She was scared. She asked what he wanted, and he told her he was a passenger who left his phone. She woke me up (at 7am) telling me a rider is at her door acting creepy in the yard. I got up, pissed. I ran outside and went off on the dude for showing up at her place. I gave him back his phone (didn't get my $20 returned item fee) and told him he was wrong and will be reported. I walk back inside, and she says, "I think it's best if you leave today." I'm still homeless and have not been able to get back on my feet, and it's now July. What did the company do about it? They sent me a letter assuring me it will be addressed. I told them I'm now homeless because of a rider. I got the old bot response of "we sincerely apologize yadda yadda BS!" They wouldn't even give me my $20 item fee because he traced it before I even made a record that it was found. No record, no reward.
@namelesswalaby Unfortunately, it is my word against his. I have a dashcam, but the entirety of this happened off the books and not in the car. I was also just woken up and angry, or I might've pulled out my phone to film it. It was just a 💩 situation.
I swear some of you will blame anyone but yourself for your situations. Most likely your friends mom was already going to kick you out and that situation was the excuse she needed.
@ITSLD69 I was only there a week. She offered a place to stay for 3 months while I recovered from a health issue. We barely interacted in that week. It was 100% this dudes fault. She was telling me the day before how she looked forward to having me there. I even offered to do housework and everything. That was not the case here. She is friends with my mom and she was the one to offer the place to stay in the first place.
Well, since that passenger felt they had the God given right to falsely report you, you should post the video of the trip with them on here and publicly embarrass him or her! What's fair is fair! That's if you can figure out who it was or if Uber IS in fact targeting you because of your videos. But either way, if you are suspended as a result of a false accusation, you should then e entitled to fair compensation for the time you were no able to work due to your account being deactivated during that time. Of course, during that time would have been 12 hour shifts. That's money lost that you could have earned all because of a false accusation. That alone should be enough to speak with an attorney to see what your options would be especially if you are innocent.

I wish I could say I was surprised to hear you have similar suspicions
so whats the point of having dash cams if they dont even use the video evidence
Basically Uber wants to know if they can bully you or not
Once this girl kept telling me how cute i was, and her friend said make sure you dont do anything…. I mean, maybe try telling ur friend that.
“Paul George baby “ got me lol
Media B roll footage caught me off guard lmao
Got that DUI claim before from a racist.
says, "SO" 10 times in 10 minutes. creep
Uber is using Artificial Intelligence….
Indeed. He "confused" the bot by misspeaking "driver" instead of "rider". The AI prompt is something like "respond to this message emphatically, professionally, but without providing or accepting any further information"...
Word I’m deactivated over multi safety violations without no proof whatsoever with over 6000 plus trips
This is why my friend has cameras in his car while he drives for Uber.
And then on the freeway she started speeding and constantly changing lanes and cutting through traffic, without signaling or seeming to pay much attention to her blind spot.
dash cam sponsorship is lit 🔥🔥🔥
Maybe before a driver accepts a ride, Uber could tell the driver how many complaints a rider has filed, giving the driver a chance to decline a higher risk client.
Be ware, Uber snitches. No rides for you.
That is why u should have a video camera on the interior
10:42 Where at the shore did you drive? I did 130 rides that weekend there
As soon as I started hearing the responses, that was my first thought was that you were talking with a bot.
you got it wrong
uber an all those percent business type (delivery human or food apps) care about the customer only.
he is the well of money
You're a great guy
Some riders is crazy. Just because you don't talk to them.
Maybe a class action lawsuit is needed..
Sounds and look like Steve-o has a little brother 🤣🤣
The most insulting part about this is that their message looks like a generic template support response but the English is strange--"we do not just always listen on the rider's side", "fair judgement in result of our investigation", etc. so it looks like Uber couldn't even be bothered to have a native speaker or even ChatGPT write their copy/paste responses for them and farmed it out to someone offshore.
As a ex food delivery driver.. im sure you know the services dont actually care about their at face value approvable drivers.. theyll wipe their hands clean of any liability in any way as fast as possible guilty or not guilty
The fake reports will hurt your credibility when Uber terminates your account and then reports you to the state you drive in tnc division
I mean you called someone a rider
ill be your witness uncle ed
I’ll get on that lawsuit with you, Eddie
Sue them
Quite a new look and new sound.
Paul George is going to disappoint you ed.
24hr suspension for suspected DUI? Unreal, always just about the bottom line
W0W! I mean I can kinda, sorta, see the creepy thang!? Ha!
Keep fightin the good fight!
Uber has lawsuits all over the world. You can sue uber & the rider.
If you remember the rider get them fired.
Switch to lyft. A lot better
Uber only cares about riders, NOT drivers. Terrible situation and terrible driver support.
All uber drivers are creepy.
Look at your hat for crying out loud.😱
They obviously make stuff up when you stop accepting their garbage rides. They think it will make you fall in line.
Let’s start a new service as drivers..
Its corporate america. Not only do they not care about you, but most of the time those in charge are so dumb it makes you wonder how they got the job in the first place. Some people suck and sadly its people like us who suffer
This is why I only do food orders. Even with evidence uber doesnt care
Gig rocket, eddie
Seek attorneys for litigation, maybe class action. Had an issue in a tech co that wanted me to map s.f. for 2 weeks. Did it refused to pat couldn't find an attorney to take & filed a labor commissioner complaint won & got my $.
Not sure if Labor Commission has jurisdiction here, but if you can't find an attorney, why not contact them & ask???
I don't use Uber, but if I did, I'd be thrilled if you were my driver. 😉 What a bummer that you're being treated so poorly by Uber.
I got a 1 start rating for fast driving and not been polite 😅
July 4th week and the weekends were TERRIBLE in Dallas/Fort Worth. And I have had similar false accusations before. Like you, when I try to dispute and get info, they stonewall me and won't give me any info about that ride. Fuckers.
Eddie, welcome to the world of the Left and Woke!
Fight back!!
Honestly ... I'm no lawyer but
I sure would get one
Because I believe that the day they suspended you
And they stopped you from making money
And you have video evidence that you were not in the wrong
And they wouldn't accept it
I believe they have to pay triple damages of the maximum that you've made during your time working there
The fact that everything is well documented
And the people who made the complaint might even be responsible
Depending on the Lawyer you get
It is 100% a bot and it responds based on keywords only. You made the mistake of calling yourself the rider instead of the driver and your immediate correction was simply overshadowed because the previous comment had more context for them to respond on. The thing with talking to these bots is it’s best to just give short and direct statements cause it’s only looking for certain keywords to respond to.
Uber has to tell you who it was ( if you are allegedly in a crime)
Also, what about UBER committing federal crimes!!!
my cousin vinny!!! nice
i knwo abotu this omg i was acccused same thing i have a farting problem (i eat a lot of beans) so i fart a lot, i do try to execue them silently but sometimes my bottom is loud so i let them out, ive gotten so many violations. ok so its natural to fart , why am i being violated? yeas it smells bad and sounds bad but not my fault. its me who suffers, i have to change my pants 4 times a day cause some of the ones i let out also come along with wet poop, no one can control their bottom. plese help me find a way to fix this guys
average boston uber driver
Diapers and Febreze.
@@djoeybeats thats sooo good to knwo im nto the only one thanks guys
@@Ephemeral2023 original scent febreeze or lavender ?
@@gh-sb1dy Hawaiian Aloha. It's the only Febreze scent I don't find repulsive. Your car will smell like a day at the beach.
I think you hit the nail on the head, the response was AI generated, or at the very least automated based on keywords. Just added frustration to the situation :/
5:00 I think you meant Jack Nicholson’s “You can’t handle the truth” not Morgan Freeman 😅
Also, that’s an AI drafted response. They have live agents but that’s clearly a bot responding.
Uber doesn’t care
Believe ALL women!
Not worth it...
Bruh! You do look weird and creepy 😂😂😂😂 just kiddin! Glad you had a cam!
Uber isn't interested in looking at dashcam footage.
oh thats cool, luckilly theres a thing designed for this called a lawsuit!! @@pauldunneska
Eddie? Just drive lyft..a lot better than UBER... LOVE ME SOME LYFT
No record, no reward.
that's the kind of case a probono attorney association would take. I would be googling legal aid for homeless or probono attorneys in my area.
Your unstable living situation is no one else’s problem but yours
They always side with the rider and no investigation. Cha ching law suit!$$$
It is pretty creepy to record riders and upload it, though. Aware
