It was a good car, the only thing I hated is it was picky about gas, every few months the check engine light would come on because the throttle body would need cleaned and recalibrated 200 dollars each time... Nice looking car! One of the biggest pluses of this car should be the fact that it's one of the few cars in its class with a traditional step-gear automatic. I'm not a fan of CVTs, and I've soured on DCTs thanks to Ford and their ill-designed "PowerShift automatic" that's been problematic.

    My local dealership did a one night presentation for the newly redesigned 2016 Cruze. I checked it out and it is an over all improvement in many ways. Was able to test drive it. I liked the features that the car had. Keyless entry and push button start. Nicely redesigned exterior. The interior layout is well done. Glad Chevy has not gone all computerized dash like many other cars are going. Too much graphics can be distracting. It also has an eco mode for the A/C as well. They also redesign the hood access. Two pulls of the interior release latch and you don't have to stand in front of the car feeling for the final lever. Just raise the hood. And they increased the horse power as well. So lots of get up and go compared to the "out going" model/engine".

It's a beauty with a sunroof... It is in extremely amazing condition .. still has the new car smell .. can't wait to sit behind the wheel.... it has all the features that I want in the car sunroof ,black interior all the gadgets great on gas the maroon color..

    i'm pretty sure that GM did a good job from thier prespective to come up with a new generation for that sucesfull car, the engine of the first gen cruze was the most disapointing for many though still did good solid buys, in the new design it became more stream lined to increase feul economy and produce less lag, so i still find it a good step in the right direction, and in that segment and price range i find it a bery tempting car to buy , since i own a 2010 cruze, im pretty looking forward to buy the new model as soon as it is available in my country Egypt, it did make very good sales here, and although many disagree with me about the shape of the car, i find it very competetive to Corolla and Honda and Elantra in very ways like horse power and decent space trunk and backseats and most of all very sporty and good looking dash board

    Chevy has really been doing a good job lately with design, but they still have a while to go on interior quality. I know they know how to do it (Cadillac?) but the Malibu that I drove had panels that didn't line up right and all the hard plastic was already rattling and squeaking a bit with 56 miles on the clock. I'm guessing this Cruze is the same. The new interiors LOOK beautiful (like the Camaro) but if you look up close it's nothing but the same hard plastic with a little leather stitched in.

    I have been a subscriber for a long time and love watching your videos, but over time they feel like they blur into the same things over and over again. This is actually the first car I have driven. I rented it recently for a few days and had some fairly strong negative opinions about it so was curious what you had said in the past.
    I really hated the stop start, if your nudging forward in traffic its constantly on, off, on, off, on, off and although it is fast I found it still clunky.
    The transmission was clunky and the accelerator was very stiff and spongy. I found the car responded well going slow and well when going fast, but that mid range was just none existent. Combined with the horrible accelerator feel it didn't feel great at all.
    In the car I had the suspension clunked, considering it only had 3000 miles it was worrying to say the least. Although as a rental you never know what might have happened.
    But yeah, I love your videos and understand you have to speak positively about cars because dealers allow you to review them to help them make sales. But at the same time you need to find a better middle ground and be more critical in a constructive way.

      @Conan776 8 років тому

      +WhatStandards FWIW, Saab perfected the turbo technology decades ago, and when they went under General Motors bought up the IP (intellectual property), and that's what's in the ECO engine as far as I can tell, as having both owned an '88 Saab turbo years ago and, just lately, a 2016 Cruz.
      I'd be a little surprised if Honda has gotten their turbo tech quite as dialed in....

    • @SoxFam0us
      @SoxFam0us 8 років тому

      Conan 776 cool story....first year they put a turbo in a civic and my comment is only asking for him to do a review on it. "Perfect turbo" doesn't exist, so many options and variations can be done. Neat history lesson though, different manufactures do whatever they feel is best for THEIR product.

    COOL Review: 2016 Chevrolet Cruze LT

    They took a lot of the fundamental design cues from the 2012-2016 Elantra. Short nose, wedge shaped with high rear. Also the side crease that blends into the door handles and into the edge of the rear lamps. Even the interior dash design and layout. The Elantra though looks much better because Chevy also incorporated some previous generation Civic cues and the current Corolla, and softened the Elantra look making the car look like a neutered and bland 2012-2016 Elantra.

    manufacturers have lost their mind with compact sedans in the last year or two. the fact that mazda 3s, cruzs, and focuses go for mid 20s when optioned moderately and can go up to 30 fully loaded is just ridiculous. who is paying this much for slow, feature bereft eco cars

    If this is a review, you need to be more critical. Also, the cloth on the passenger side was there in previous models. Lastly, the vents and such seem to be more akin to the Sonic, not the Malibu.

    I remember once when i saw a commercial about this car where they took off all the brands and said to a few (paid actors) strangers! what car does this look like to you?
    someone said " it lookds like a BMW."
