OMG I need to be adopted by Nick Mason. Brian we need a full video inside this garage 😍😍😍. Fair play to Nick for taking you out in that rubbish British weather. I bet the GTO was detailed within an inch of its life as soon as it was back in its garage😁
Would love to see the whole tour of his garage, since both have been involved in auto racing as drivers! Life outside of music can be just as rewarding.
I can’t believe how refined Nick Mason is. As an 80’s teenager party kid, I somehow presumed Pick Floyd members were a bit more rough around the edges.
Nick Mason. what a life! Good for him and you too Brian! thank you both for the decades of entertainment! it made life worth living and is the sound track to so many peoples lives.
Nick usually does an open gardens at his house once a year and parks cars around in the gardens, raising money for local charities. He also mingles with the crowd and happily chats with people about the cars. Really down to earth nice guy
Certainly one 9f my favorite all time rock bands so different so innovative a seriously talented group of musicians , the world seemed overwhelmed with great rock bands back in the day still these guys really stood out.
I guess being a rock star as some perks.... :) Lovely cars, I wish I could drive any one of them. BTW, thanks Nick for all the great tunes! I, in some small way, have helped finance that collection, as have many other PF fans.
It's crazy that this was released in 2019. If it wasn't for these videos now on youtube I wouldn't even know this existed! Some quality interviews these ones! Gotta love Nick Mason
@@maz4304 I believe it was released in the UK on Sky. But you can also watch it on Amazon Prime Video UK. Maybe a VPN could be useful for that actually.
Well connected Toff (Dad raced at Silverstone) that never was a musician. He has always sounded more like an accountant than a musician. You can tell when people are faking it Nice car collection shame proper musicians of the era end up with a fraction of his wealth but they have earned theirs..
I was working with a tv crew in about 1981 and we were filming not only Nick but Steve O Rouke too testing the Wall painted Lola at Silverstone in preparation for Le Mans which Nick had already competed in and came second in class, so not a bad pedaller either!
Hi Brian, Great to see you in the south at Road Atlanta. Wish I could have been there to see you and maybe meet you. I love cars aswell..hope you come back. I live in Augusta ,Ga (Home of the Masters golf tournament) not far from there...stop by and say hello sometime. Nice job on the new cd I like it...classic! Hope one day to meet you. Luv your youtube stuff. Its great. Best wishes. Drive crazy!! Paul in Augusta
Was lucky enough to be working my trial shift at Caffeine and Machine on the day Nick's daughter Holly turned up for lunch in his 250 GTO !!! And her hubby Marino Franchitti in Nick's Daytona !!! Not a bad first day to be fair 😁
Shoulda learned to platy the guitar. Shoulda learned, to play them drums. Maybe get a blister on my little finger. Maybe get a blister on my thumb. Um....I think Mark was trying to say that it's a bit more work than people make on about. But I get you buddy! Ya man, sweet rides, and even sweeter friends, right?
Sorry, but "keeping a beat on some albums" is an understatement. First, he's on every PF's albums. Second, he co-wrote some of them. And third, creating a beat that many people (especially your bandmates) like is not a very easy thing to do. And to add, he did some things that technically, keeping the band together, like funding the start-up cost for AMLOR tour with his car as a collateral, or inviting David Gilmour to the band when Syd Barrett's mental starts deteriorating. And one last thing, keeping a beat on some albums to get money is literally the point of working with a job as a drummer😉😉
Nick is by far the Greatest Drummer Alive, and the proof is a 25 MINUTE SONG that was still MASTERPIECE. I can say the same for Brian Johnson too, just in a different way... [Big Balls by AC/DC here]
Then it's true what I read in a Pink Floyd book, they were all millionaires and that Nick Mason's dad had so many Aston Martins in his house in London that he had to park them in the street and the other wealthy neighbours complained because there wasn't any more space to park their cars.
I got to meet Nick Mason when I was working at a restaurant in the UK.
Such a humble guy.
He's got to be the most humble out of all of the Floyd members
A real human being.
I’m glad that some of the money that I spent on albums and concerts was spent wisely, instead of up someone’s nose.
Up the nose on the odd occasion has been wise for some people. Better to have tried it and enjoyed!. Keith Richards is still going strong.

Between the drums and the cars, Nick Mason probably holds the world record for most hours spent sitting in a lifetime !
I believe he also holds a helicopter pilots license.
