I love the mounting options, making ABS adapters takes time/prevents moving on to the next vehicle sooner.
Thanks for the love!
Might be my next purchase for my Neon SRT-4
I have the "snowman" tweeter pods I love them fits perfectly in my A pillar as if it was OEM. I wish there was more kicker dealerships around my area.. I would do anything to be an installer for kicker. I love your products, ever since I got into car audio I have wanted a kicker L7 subwoofer and I couldn't be happier to have my hands on a solo x 12
Our dealers are constantly looking for more installation techs. Please consider applying. Its a fun career!
I'm getting 2 pair as soon as I can. KFTW!!
Nice presentation.
Those pods are the best. Well thinked.
Congrats.
Glad you like them!
Yes magnets are often confused with performance. There is something to that for subs. But for speakers you want small magnets that provide large quality
Tight gaps & higher efficiency are a big deal to us. Do more volume with the least amount of power...until you want to "level up."
This is the KS level. Are y’all doing anything for next level up?
If/when we do, we will announce it here & on social. We don't talk about new gear until its ready to ship.
Do the mids also have grills??? I only see the 6.5 and the twitters having them
We dont have grilles for the ST series, since most people using PA speakers dont use them. If enough people ask for them, we may make grills in the future.
@KICKER-AUDIO grills are a must!!!! Most people who will install these arent going to replace, but add on... i wish the pod 2 speaker mount was sold separately for things like this... or an option to include it.
How many watts are these, and what is the sensitivity?
15-80 RMS and 91 sensitivity for the 6.5, and 15-100 and 92 sensitivity on the 6x9"
When will the compq come out?
The updated Comp Q with the black cone and blue stitching? Back in January they said it would be in March, but there's obviously been some delays. We just have to wait until they have a more definite release time. If they don't know for certain, they won't say anything. Hopefully, we'll see the updated sub and the two War Horse amps in the second quarter.
Nailed it.
Kicker could you give us a video with more information on the new compq because all we got was that it got a new cone and more power but no power numbers or any other specs
I bought a set of the 6x9 3 ways and was going to put the tweet and mid in a pillar pod.. But couldn't mount the mid so that it looked good with those ugly brackets and also needed a grill for the mid...
You don't see the brackets. This allows the speaker to be mounted behind factory grills.
When you're doing a custom a pillar build it's up to the Builder to figure these things out. If you can't figure out how to mount it or to fabricate a grill, you probably shouldn't be building a custom a pillar. Hopefully I'm not coming off as being rude. You might consult some professional installers about the best way to fabricate a custom grill assembly. They can be made of steel mesh, acrylic, aluminum or even 3D printed. A quick and simple Grill could be fabricated from some small aluminum rod. Drill a hole on either side of the speaker and you can press fit two or three small bars over the top. Luckily a pillar pods aren't prone to being accidentally touched or damaged. There's lots of examples on how to build custom grills on UA-cam.
How do you biamp to the mids and tweets useing the front channels on the kicker key ?
If you want to biamp, the entire amplifier is now dedicated to the front channels. Flip the biamp dipswitch to do that. For more info, scroll down to the bottom of the product page. We have a quickstart guide and full manual available. www.kicker.com/key-2004-4-channel-smart-amplifier
Can you use this component set with the Kicker 47key200.4 bi amp mode
Yes, as long as you dedicate one channel to the midbass and one channel for the midrange/tweeter, using the inline passive crossovers we include.
I like the set up I have kicker key
So for Biamp one channel to the woofers. And the other to the mids and tweets. How do you wire the channel to the mids and tweets?
