This girl is a marketing genius. She used this $650 dollar apartment to get well over 100k of free advertising for her social media and business ventures. This is the best business move she has made in her life.

I honestly don’t know how Landlords are getting away with these “apartments”. How does something like that even pass safety inspections?
Doesn't NYC have Board of Health regulations? This is disgusting. Does the poor dog have to live closed up like that? If so, she should be reported for animal cruelty. Who would keep that size dog in what is essentially a tomb? This is my idea of a nightmare.
@@TubeTorte the dog is at doggy daycare all day and when she gets home she takes him for a long walk at the dog part before bed.
She also doesn’t shower there. She has a gym membership at a really nice gym where she showers.
At the end of the day I agree that the apt is too small for the dog but she’s making the best of it. At least the dog has a home and is taken care of.
Not for the claustrophobic! But this lady is making it work. Good for her.

These videos make me want to have roommates! So many of us have SO much more space than necessary.
I get anxiety just looking at people in those lofts right next to the ceiling and being in such confined spaces. I could not do it.

I want to know how these small apartments came about. Are they rooms split into smaller apartments or they are hallways made into rooms.
its very good question, ive always noticed most apartments are never made with comfort or ideal needs met, its just random configurations, and you get what u get ! my guess is the demand for space is so high, that they were created just to make money...!
I've read something about landlords in NYC splitting apartments in half or in thirds every few years 1. So that they can have more tenants, but 2. Because there's rent control in new york, so they get around the restriction by technically making it a "new apartment". It could even be as simple of a change as like knocking out the dividing walls and replacing them in a slightly different way.

My husband and I spent almost 9 years as team truck drivers living together in a space WAY smaller than this girl’s apartment. We had no sink, water, had to use rest areas or truck stops or a bottle for a toilet. Kneeled on the floor to cook and food prep, usually while the truck was moving. Had a microwave and plug in skillet for the last few years because the first 5 or so, we weren’t allowed inverters over 500W, so no electricity. Once you have lived for years as a team trucker, believe me, you can live anywhere else and feel like you’ve moved up in the world!
I agree...trucking is pretty hardcore without the amenities the stops provide

@@Road370 not all some would lose there mind in a big house that's empty because you live alone. That and you gotta do what you gotta do to survive. If it means not being homeless might as well. I'd say convert a van instead but in NYC that be pointless for the most part it take forever to move to a new spot just to sleep.

But yeah, sleeping in lofts with no ceiling height causes two things to become a frequency: headbumps and barely and fresh air unless one manages to squeeze in two mini fans on the ceiling.

When I was in my freshman dorm room (a quad lmao) I bunked my bed so that I was about the same exact proximity from the ceiling. I grew up sleeping in a loft bed so I thought it would be fine and it would keep me from spending too much time in my bed. I went the whole 9 months without rearranging it, but I've never gone back since... Getting out in the morning is honestly one of the worst parts. You kinda have to slither down.

There is no way I could remotely sleep up there. I’m sick with claustrophobia just watching you in there in the little time it was shown! I would’ve rather slept on the floor with the dog 😂
I would use that whole area where the bed currently is for storage and then get rid of the couch and put a bed there instead. There is no way I could sleep that close to the ceiling. It can't be good for your mental health long-term.

It’s bigger than my cabin! Small spaces are challenging, that’s what makes them amazing. You have to be aware of yourself and what you need, and that’s generally a pretty good thing.

Its crazy that Im super poor, way below the poverty line and the flat I live in is basically 15 times bigger then that one, having my own living room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and hallway And I still pay less then 650 dollars, infact I pay 450 euros, in one of the most expensive capitals in Europe in terms of ratio of wages and rent price. this is just a testament to how insanely fucking expensive New York City is, the rent is too damn high!
