@TFLnow, you guys should know by now that the Pacifica has a button on the lower B pillar that automatically move the front seat all the way up to clear the stow-n-go seat. Additionally, it is unnecessary to remove the carpet as the system was designed with this in mind.
This video was more entertainment... they didn't do their homework and most likely aren't reading the comments since they continue to make the same mistakes. They need more memos for those TPS reports I suppose.
Never drove a Pacifica but I lived with a 2023 hybrid sienna as a rental about a month ago and I loved every bit of it! I also got about 35 mpgs in the montana mountains. I think the Pacifica would be more my price range and style though. I love the hybrid features and mpgs of a hybrid but I’d never be able to afford one to buy let alone afford to fix if anything went wrong. If anything happens to my current vehicle I’ll be shopping minivans for sure.
I believe you can trade out the Pacifica chip in the ECU for the Charger chip and pick some 25 horses (and some more torque too). That will certainly turn the tides in the Pacifica's favor.
Nathan was truly on point today! Dad Mode suits him much like Grumpy Old Man does Roman. Solid review, and the jokes gave it that TFL vibe that i enjoy.
I did not expect this review to be so funny 🤣 you guys should let Nathan take charge some more. He is hilarious! I've watched you guys since the beginning and it looks like you guys really have figured out a format that works for you all. Using radios to communicate with each other during your talking points has really helped the videos feel more engaging.
I have a hybrid FWD Pacifica, and I feel like it'd actually do better in a race than the gas model. Tire choice make a huge difference (especially in winter, it's more important than drivetrain type in most parts of the country). And if you can't extend your legs comfortably in the 2nd row of a Pacifica...you are either Shaquille O'Neal or Yao Ming.
The Sienna is the objectively better vehicle but I would still get the Pacifica for stow n' go. It turns your van into a U-Haul and you can fit all the stuff from Home Depot you want.
Ill take the Pacifica way before the ugly sienna. Seems like Chrysler cut engine power for initial takeoff perfaps to avoid wheelspin. I rented a Dodge Caravan several years ago wirh the same engine and if I needed w quick getaway from a stoplight, it was hard NOT to spin the wheels.
They're at high elevation, which hampers the performance of combustion engines. The Sienna has the benefit of instant torque off the line with the EV power off the line.
On folding down the middle seat you do NOT have to remove the carpet. It works just fine if you leave it in place. Second, there is a button on lower part of the pillar that you press which moves the front seat to the proper position to use the stow and go. And when you are done, press it again and the seat moves back to where it was. You are making the process look a lot harder than it really is! Also, will that 4 cylinder last as long as the V6? And what about the costs (maintenance and replacement) of the electrical propulsion system? Not to mention the Sienna is god awful ugly! The front end looks like somebody glued on a vacuum cleaner nozzle.
Add the pedal comander to the pacifica and watch what happens. Plus. Something seemed way to slow for that pac. We have a 18 non and and honestly for a minivan it's pretty quick. People are constantly asking what we've done to ours to be so peppy. Like to see this vs the pac hybrid as well
Chrysler only makes one vehicle now and I think it's the best looking and functional minivan on the road. We rent a Pacifica whenever we take family trips and I'm always impressed with them. I hope they come back with a new electric 300 in the future.
The Pacifica has a button at the inside base of the B pillar which will move the front seat all the way forward for folding the middle row and will then move it back to the previous position. Also I don't understand why you removed the carpet. So long as it is properly fixed to the holes in the floor you can open up the seat wells with the carpet in place. Edit: And I just noticed someone beat me to it. Sorry.
I call BS on the drag race. There's no way a Pacifica is slower even at higher elevations. You can't power brake the Pacifica. It has logic built into the engine management that overrides throttle input and forces the engine to idle when both the brake and gas pedal are pressed at the same time for more than a few seconds. How do these guys not know about the advance 'n return buttons on each B pillar that move the front seats forward and back to their previous position automatically for easy access to Stow 'N Go??!
Apparently Nathan didn't read the coments on the last video he did on these two vans. On the pacifica you don't have to move the front seat forward from the front. You can push the button on the pillar and the chair will go forward automatically.
As someone who is a Chrysler fan, I still would choose the Chrysler minivan as opposed to Toyota. The Chrysler minivan can last just as long if you properly take care of it. I know somebody who had a 2006 Chrysler Town & Country it had over 250,000 miles on it running strong no issues with it and the only reason why she got rid of it is because somebody rear ended her and totaled it out. She bought it new and took really good care of it so yes, they will last if you take care of them. I’m not knocking Toyota for its amazing reliability but they’re not the only reliable car brand out there and not everyone wants a Toyota or can afford one… it’s literally just your preference buy what you like take care of it. It’s really that simple.
I had a sienna hybrid as a rentel in Florida. What a POS. Ugly as hell, uncomfortable. The seats were "softex" pleather and they were uncomfortable and hot. They felt the same as my utility truck at work's vinyl seats.
You should use speed control to set what speed you need and match up vehicles with the one mph up/down button to get lined up for equal results. Nothing better than hot coffee after spicy food...Hot coffee and hot sauce are soul mates...
My wife and I had a 2017 Pacifica and it would smoke the front tires if I mashed it hard. I don't know what they did wrong. It looked like he started in second or third gear.
I hope you guys do a real comparison of hybrid vs hybrid. Ice vs hybrid isn't an even competition. Also would have saved yourself trouble if you used the button inside the frame at about 10:48 just above and to the left of the shoe. It moves the seats up so passengers can get in and you can do stow and go easier.
Don't brake stall just come off the brake and mash the gas.. the ECM has a brake pressure sensor and depends on how much throttle to brake input it will think your getting crazy and close the throttle blade regardless of the gas pedal position..
Had a few Dodge mini vans both were great but around 80-85 K they both started started falling apart. all kind of issues. Last mini van was a Honda not as comfy but no mechanical problems at all I guess it depends if you're leasing or buying.
i am 43 and have lived most of my life in Europe with some places without speed limit. In my youth zero to 100 km/h (62mph) was not important. Yes there were fast cars but the important thing is handling. Who cares about fast cars if you cant drive them on public roads
My mom owns a Pacifica and you do not have to remove the floor mats to use stow and go and there is a button on the panel between the driver door and the back driver side door on the inside where there is a button that moves the seat forward automatically
Have a 2023 Odyssey and that’s the minivan to have if you want the most overall space, quickest in a straight line and around a track. Not that it matters, it’s quiet and not a bore to drive in sport mode… crappy gas mileage around town though, it’s fine on the highway.

I think that maybe the reason every dad vehicle eventually becomes a mom vehicle (in terms of public perception, not in terms of who's actually driving it) is because moms see the same value in capability and practicality as dad do, but as a young boy aspiring to have the same kind of vehicle your mom drives ain't necessary cool I think minivans might make a comeback to the mainstream if they start being seen as dad vehicles all over again. (Where Hellcat Pacifica At? )
I know that the Pentastar is a good engine it will last a very long time but I wish they would have done something with the power or changed some parts to make it faster cause dam it’s truly very slow. NO NEED IN COWPOKIE I mean Colorado 🤣 like that in itself is telling! & as many permanent 4wds & massive dumb trucks as there are on the Roads in CO. If snow is expected? It is on the news a good 3 or 4 days being talked about like NUCLEAR WINTER! PLEASE STOCK UP FOR 9 MONTHS! PLEASE STAY OFF ROADS!!! THE SKY IS FALLING!! PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE!! THE SKY IS FALLING!! It is Chrysler that failed. Pacific can be AWD or hybrid, but not both. Apparently the battery and the rear prop shaft occupy the same real estate.
@richsarchet9762 still comes in a PLUG IN HYBRID. Which was one of their big sticking points. I grew up in Alaska. They have REAL SNOW O MONTHS OF THE YEAR, PLUS REAL MOUNTAIN'S Including the Tallest one in North America. One DOES NOT "NEED" AWD. Unless a true 🐈🤣 - though traveling this year. I also reside a good portion of the year currently since 2009 in Denver, CO 30 miles from Boulder. Unlike where I grew up. When it snows its gone within 2 or 3 days! Hell even in Aspen! 🤣 AK, MN, the Dakota's, WI etc all cars are equipped from their local dealers with Mandatory Plug in heaters! PLEASE DO NOT GO TO WORK!!(Unless in retail & rely on a bus, then YOU BETTER BE AT WORK ON TIME😏)SNOW shows up, snows ALL DAY ALL NIGHT & THE roads MIGHT Have a few actual CENTIMETERS on the ground! No lie!
& the white "native"(actual Native American here)are the Worst drivers oy! My daily is a Fleetwood RWD winter I have winter specific tires & do just fine. Even when I occasionally drive into the Hills or what ppl in CO call mountains 🤣
You guys are hilarious
