  • This video looks at three different ways to do a 4 day Push Pull Legs routine, how to choose the right exercises, and schedule your workouts to get the best results. Push Pull Legs is a three day rotation of workouts, but what if you’re lifting weights four days a week? It means you have to double-up one of the muscle groups each week. I talk about the difference between compound and isolation movements, and how to fit the right exercises into your training split. Lastly, I talk about how to track focus muscle groups in every workout to help you customize your plan and achieve the most balanced physique.

    Your last option is such a simple but genius option. I love PPL but can't do 6 days and 3 doesn't feel like enough. Thanks for the great content!

      Yeah, I do 3 days because I'm a beginner, I do push on monday, but waiting for the next monday to do push again feels a bit too long. The last option is the best.

    Thanks for the video. I do #3 and alternate my heavy sets as the first muscle group like you mentioned. At age 52, I need to balance the kindness to my joints.

    Full body, Rest, PPL Rest Rest.
    Intensity and weight PRs on the full body day, volume on the PPLDays.

      I think you can get a good workout in 1 hour. If you rest longer between sets you can lift heavier. Doing 20 sets and resting 1.5 minutes between each set is about 50 minutes total. I like resting 2-3 minutes

    Hey i have a doubt can you please clear it.. I don't knwo if i should call myself beginner or intermediate as i started going to gym just from last 3 week but i used to do workout ag home with dumbbells... So the thing is i do push pull legs in gym and today while i was doing the trainer of the gym noticed while i was doing the lateral raises with the lightest dumbbell ( 2.5 kg) and then i moved to triceap and he said what you are doing this is nothing but just a waste you shouldn't do push pull legs , just train one muscle each day.
    .So can u please tell me if i am counted as beginner or intermediate as i just started gym but used to do workout at home with dumbbells
    . And can you tell me if i should follow push pull legs or train one muscle each day?
    Thank you
    .

    • @lucaswar7989
      @lucaswar7989 8 місяців тому

      It really just depends on your physical ability and form. If you can lift intermediate levels with good form, then I would say ur an intermediate. I guess you could also start in between
      Beginner and intermediate to be safe

    Push Pull Legs is NOT a 3 day workout cycle. It's a 6 day cycle. You have to hit the muscle groups twice a week to see growth

    • @Manhattan_Marty
