Love the idea with the hopper...I just would hope that the mpg could be such to break all records of any previous hybrids (rav4, prius, etc). I live in Washington state and fuel is now $5-6 per gallon and having an affordable offroad vechicle with great mpg would be amazing. I own a 2007 Lexus GX470 and unfortunately going to the gas pump is a costly endeavor. Thanks for getting this to Toyota. I''ve owned a 71 and 72 Landcruiser and am totally excited for 2024. Although after reviewing the larger Landcruisers, the MPG's are a dissappointment. I'm sure Toyota has the ability to bring forth both power and effeciency.
If you're going to be small, be small. I hope for length 174 inches, width 72 inches, height 66 inches, wheelbase 108 inches, ground clearance 8 inches, weight 3,400 pounds. Using Toyota's 2.5 litre engine as a base. With details like integrated headunit, seats that fold flat with the cargo area, a full size spare tire, a built in cooler in the center console, locking differentials, optional 6speed manual transmission for the 5 percent of us. An exterior design that blends the best of the Jimny and the Range Rover.
If they put central and rear lock differentials and a hybrid engine system I’ll buy it right away , I hope they implement the traction control here too ❤️
If the name (Land Hopper) is of any significance it should have a high low range transfer case (automatic, not cvt or preferably a manual gearbox) and a diesel option for serious off road use. A decent range ie high capacity fuel tank for outback touring. We will see.
I hope it doesn't look like the renders I saw here, because if so it is ugly as hell. I am going to the Japan mobility show later this month so if it is there I will check it out and see what it really looks like.
I can't wait for this. I don't want to take a $50,000 vehicle off road. This would be perfect if it's really an off road vehicle .

By time the very expensive Jimny is challenged!
Kinda like a fancy Jimny.
Oh my! Yes please! Build it in Japan, give it a manual transmission, and sell it in Canada!

Will it beat my Jimny?
Nice replacement if so, by 2025, I have 60k km of abuse on mine 😂
Hoo yaaa
poor design look, will not attract customers, its a fail project
the Land Hopper should be in the wild always, its so ugly to ply on city roads
Dinosaur
Last gasp.....
