"I'm embracing my skin as I get older and don't care of some spots show through." Yessssss gril! This is me too! I haven't worn actual foundation on my face in a couple of months and I am loving the way my skin looks. ❤
All these foundations look so pretty on you, Mandy- I appreciate this video. Have been away from the Internet almost 2 years and glad to be back and finding out about the newest best makeup.. I definitely like the lighter coverage too-makes one’s skin look so healthy! Yours looks great all the time though!! 🎄Merry Christmas Mandy🎄
I used the Jane Iredale for so many years and then I had to stop! They added something to their lip products that gave me dermatitis on my lips🥲 I think I used all their makeup since the beginning but can’t now.
Since you asked about favorite foundations, here are my two and both are light coverage: MAC Radiance Face and Body-the newer version of this-you know what I mean.. And KohGenDoh Aqua foundation-also light coverage and I have one in the warm shade, and one in the cool shade since I don’t think they have the Neutral. 🕊️💌🎄 Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!🎄💌🕊️
Aah Mandy I’m so sorry you’ve been suffering…I hope the doctors get to the root cause soon for you. Thank you for posting this video when you’re unwell. Please be kind to yourself. Xxx
Chantecaille Future Skin has been my favourite foundation for about 20 years. I’m one of the people who doesn’t love the Jane Iredale Hydropure. I think it’s in part because the older version had a shade that was a perfect match for me and I don’t find that to be the case for the new version. I don’t love the undertone. I don’t hate it, I just don’t love it like I did the Liquid Minerals. Maybe I need to try another shade to see if it works better.
Shade can definitely make or break a foundation. And I, of course, love the future skin gel as a foundation, but ESPECIALLY as a concealer. It takes first place for me in that category.
I love these rankings, and Jane Iredale Hydropure Tinted Serum is my favorite foundation. I use it with their pressed foundation or Amazing Base. You also gave me a great tip with ISDN drops in sand. Although I am very fair and use Fair 1, I can bump up the coverage with 1 or 2 drops to wear without powder foundation. You also gave me Chantecaille future skin as concealer. I am 53 with very sensitive skin, so my skincare is Epionce. When I wear the combination of these items, I receive compliments on my “flawless” skin. I keep two backups of Hydropure at all times. It is a must have for me.
I haven’t really tried many now. I’m mostly using a tinted spf. However, I still want to try the jane iredale one. I do have the older version of it and love it..
Mandy, I hope you feel better. I think the chantecaille cushion looked beautiful on you but I haven’t ventured into cushion foundations but the cost factor issue there. The Jane Iredale is most interesting to me. I love the original Chanel water les beiges tint, your skin with a bit of blurring sort of to make look better. There was a dupe by cover girl that some did not think comparable, but I do for nearly one third price works. Absolutely have to apply with your fingers, but perfect for summer. I watched your video on blushes and you sold me on Jane Iredale and I purchased the color you recommended as well as two others and I love them, from packaging, color wear as simple for everyday. If this foundation is like that I think I have to try. Love any other recommendations from this brand if you really love because I think I haven’t given them the look I should.
Yes! I did a whole video comparison of the jane, chanel and cover girl. They are all similar in their type of formula for sure. So glad you are loving the jane blushes!
Chantecaille Future Skin for LIFE. I haven't tried the cushion but someday I will...I just love the gel foundation so much it doesn't feel necessary. Love your foundation videos, Mandy, and I hope you feel better soon!!
Also I have a bottle of the old formula Jane (Liquid Minerals) and I've always struggled to make it work on my very dry skin. I'm going to try it again today, in your honor 😂
My all time favorite is the Lancôme foundation stick, but it’s not the best during the hottest months. I wear something lighter during the summer, like Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint. I would love for you to try the Basma Foundation Stick. I hear great things about it.
I do love the foundation stick, but didn't include it only because I was sticking to liquid foundations only. I have tried the Basma stick and ended up returning it. It didn't look that good on my skin. I tried to find the video where I used it and can't seem to locate it right now.
Thanks to you, I also use and love the Jane Hydropure Tinted Serum (though Purepressed Base is my holy grail). Lately, I’ve been using Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer and have enjoyed the light coverage and natural glow it provides.
Love Jane Iredale liquid minerals! Started using based on your recommendation. I haven't tried the new formula yet because I was stocked up on the old one. I use it with a little of the jane iredale powder on top or haus labs powder. You are right its best when applied with fingers.
A little jealous you still have some of the old formulation. If I had to pick, I would still choose the Liquid Minerals, but the new one has grown on me and I love it so much now.
Mandy I hope you feel better soon. I love the Lisa Eldridge, Chantecaille cushion and Haus Labs foundations. I haven't tried the Lancome yet. I have a love/hate relationship with the Jane Iredale. Some days it is gorgeous and other days It looks like I have never applied a foundation... ever. LOL But I don't give up on it. When It works I love it.
Thank you! Have you ever kept track to see if you are wearing different spfs on the days when it looks good vs. doesn't? I would be interested to hear.
@@MandyDavisMUA - I haven't paid attention but what you said makes sense with tinted sunscreens. I will definitely experiment and keep a record of which SPFs work and which do not. I'm very curious about tinted versus not tinted. Besides I like to track things and make lists. I'll let you know what I find out. It will probably take me a couple of weeks of wearing.
The Jane Iderdale HydroPure has been my go to day-to-day since it was released. If I need more coverage, I use the Jane Iderdale Beyond Matte. Could you rank your cream blushes and bronzers?
I’ve seen some others recently posting about having reactions to lawless glosses and/or lip fillers. 🤷🏼♀️ I understand how frustrating allergies can be and hope you can figure it out soon. 🫶🏻
With the hot and very weather now upon us, would you be willing to do a video on which tints/foundations you would use for hot/humid weather? (sad to see the Chantecaille Future Skin Gel Foundation not in this list...but, I value your opinion.) Time for me to try the Lisa Eldridge, it seems....
Still love that one as a foundation, but I reach for it most as a concealer. Still holds the number 1 spot for that. ❤ I will add the hot/humid tints to the list.
About your lips…many years ago while a military spouse, I developed something very similar. I was living in Tucson Arizona when I got what I thought was fever blisters on the corners of my lips. That quickly spread all over my lips and looked like your lips in the cut-away. But this is where my case deviates from yours. It spread onto my cheeks and started itching like crazy! I had to keep ice on my cheeks to dull the itch. There were very tiny blisters all over and the first time, they would burst and weep. My lips didn’t itch though, they just felt very raw. I saw a military doctor who immediately recognized the rash and told me it’s just something that non locals get when coming to the southwest and she had gotten it as well. She had no real idea of cause or treatment other than OTC and what I had been doing and time. It kept returning a couple times a year but I did learn to use a charcoal face mask to draw it out whenever it flared which stopped it in its tracks and after just a couple more flares, took it away completely. At first I used it 2 or 3 times over 2 days but the next time, one treatment was enough. I have no idea if what you have is the same but seeing your lips sure brought back those memories. Hope you feel better soon hon! Oh and I can’t go without my Jane Iredale Tented Serum! Thank you so much for guiding me to this!
That is so strange! And so helpful for the doc to tell you it's just what happens to outsiders. 🙄 I am glad you found something that works for you when you have a flare up.

I do have it! I was sent three colors and none of them are my exact match so I have to mix.I have only used it once and need to play with it more for sure! Thanks for the information on your shade!
I had the same problem recently with lip and mouth swelling. I figured out it was an allergy to stevia that was either in a lip product I had started to use or in a beverage I was drinking. Now I know to look for stevia before I put it on my lips, or drink it. Not sure if that’s your issue but lots of people are actually allergic to it and unfortunately they are putting it in everything these days because it’s “natural”.
So glad you found out what it was for you! I eat stevia every day, so I don't think it's that. I am having some other hormonal issues right now, so that could be it too. So frustrating!
It happens slowly so maybe just try to take it out for awhile….it took about a week or two for it to heal for me, but if you have an allergy to ragweed, that’s what stevia is related too. Hopefully you can figure it out because I know…it’s so painful. Thank you for all of your beautiful tutorials :)
I love the LE tint! Hands down one of my favorites and was purchased because of your wonderful recommendation! I wanted to purchase the Lancome Care and Glow to try it out, but it appears that many colors are sold out. I wonder if they are discontinuing?

Hi Mandy!🌸 How about the Jane Iredale bb cream? You are always talking about the powder and the liquid minerals. Is it because you don't like it as much as others? Have you tried the rms uncoverup cream foundation? I'd like to know your thoughts on this one!

Also bc the Jane is your top and bc your bridesmaid post on insta I’m very curious to try the foundation and powder. I know the foundation won’t cover my melasma so I just use Estée Lauder maximum coverage and then go over it with a light weight foundation. Does this combo of foundation and powder last all day and would it be ok for larger pores and oily t zone( not like crazy oily I like the oils to warm up and give a glow to foundation but sometimes if the formula is too dewy then the foundation slips off, will this one do that?) It just looks so beautiful and effortless… thanks Mandy hope you feel better soon ❤

I did see that! I have a couple of the quads I am interested in for sure. I don’t think it’s something in my shake. This has been happening 2-3 times a year for something like 6 years. And of course no doctor seems to know what it is. Wet frustrating for sure. So glad you are loving the LE tint too. It’s just so good!
Hi! Have you changed your toothpaste or anything you take orally recently? Some people’s lip swell when they have an allergic reaction to toothpaste or any mouthwash etc. basically any oral hygiene. You looked so pretty otherwise. I love my Pat McGrath and a lesser known William Tuttle foundation I get from Camera Ready Cosmetics. Also, I wish that cushion foundations came in deeper shades! I am assuming I am allergic to something I am eating and just can't narrow it down. I haven't heard of the William Tuttle...I will have to check that one out. Thanks!
Thank you! I am thinking it must have been something I ate, but I sure wish I knew what it was. And they definitely swell up like bee stings...they were about 3-4xs bigger than this video for a few days. Not fun at all.
It's so crazy what causes it in different people. Luckily it isn't ginger for me. I eat my weight in it every time I eat sushi, so I think I am good on that. I am glad your niece figured out what caused hers!

Thank you! I haven't changed anything like toothpaste/mouthwash. It is so strange that nothing has been changed whenever it has happened. I am assuming I am allergic to something I am eating and just can't narrow it down. I haven't heard of the William Tuttle...I will have to check that one out. Thanks!
@@MandyDavisMUA I hope you find out what it is and feel better soon 💕💕
PS. Loving the Ere Perez oat milk foundation
Oh that is a good one too!!
Have you tried TirTir?
I have! It’s not a bad foundation, but it doesn’t do for my skin what these five do.
@@MandyDavisMUA ya these ones are basically skincare into the foundation
I get that allergic reaction on my lips with any type of lip product that has retinol in it
Oh man...it's no fun huh? I don't have any lip products with that, but I can definitely see how it would cause it.
When I eat cherries, my lips blow up like bee stung. Not a bad look, but painful. Don’t know it started a couple years ago. Feel better. 😢
Thank you! I am thinking it must have been something I ate, but I sure wish I knew what it was. And they definitely swell up like bee stings...they were about 3-4xs bigger than this video for a few days. Not fun at all.
So sorry. I get it. It can make u nutty trying to figure it out! 🙏🏻💋
You mean you didn’t get lip filler? ❤ I’m so sorry! I hope it heals soon. ❤, Mandy
You should have seen them 2 days before this...they were 3-4xs more swollen. I didn't even recognize myself. 😪
My niece had her lips flare up every time she ate ginger
It's so crazy what causes it in different people. Luckily it isn't ginger for me. I eat my weight in it every time I eat sushi, so I think I am good on that. I am glad your niece figured out what caused hers!
Oh Mandy, I am SO sorry. I am praying that the Lord will heal your lips and give you wisdom for what caused it. 👑✝️❤️🙏
Thank you!
HI Mandy I just started your video and I just had to stop and say yes of course I wanna know your recommendations but we care about you and that's why we keep coming back
Get better super FAST
