There isn’t a woman on earth who wants to wait seven years to be married. It’s really the most hurtful thing you can do to a woman biologically we are not made for that type of waiting. Period.
The only reason why "he was cool with it" and "she was cool with it" is because 9×s out of 10 they were living in sin. Compromising their relationship with the Lord. Its extremely rare for a full adult male to wait 7yrs to marry a full adult female while respecting their individual covenant with God. (If they're not christian pay no mind to this comment.)
As a society we truly need to strike a balance between minding our own business and saying something when you see/hear something. The "do you boo" mentality has birthed a society that is lawless, depressed and avid people pleasers.

No, typically the man wants the wifey duties while he is getting “financially ready”. No, well you need to stop dating bc what you’re not gonna do is drag me along the way and then we look around and it’s been 10 years and we haven’t gotten married. We either get married now and build together or I move on! My husband and I got proposed/married within a year and a half. Please. These men want all the benefits w/o providing security to the woman.

Companies are more interested in investing into black and brown women over the men because the men didn’t invest and commit the way he should have to us, so we had to do it on our own. Listen to your producer and friend’s stories, a lot of these men are playing games. We arent playing with yall anymore. We are getting WHATEVER we want and achieving and taking up space in top tier places because we have no other choice and no one to depend on. Let’s not even get started on women wanting children but can’t find a decent partner. At this point it’s sink or swim for us. 🤷🏾♀️

Great points. We are definitely partners in a marriage as Heather stated, but unfortunately our society promotes selfishness. Cornelius made a great point that proves my point. Women demand Ruth's Chris and look down on Cheesecake😂. I rather a cheesecake factory with a long lasting marriage than a hearty steak after being flewed out only to divorce shortly after.
Dating these days require a PHD...many men don't want marriage due to signing papers...why does the government have to be in it?
