Just installed mine on my 2012 TDI and I'm having issues.... The left side works fine, but the right side DRL only turns on with the car in reverse lol. Then I get a bulb out error. Super bummed out ☹️
I bought the same tail lights but they were smoked but I don’t have a plastic cover that hides all my plugs it’s just zip tied so I don’t want it to look ghetto with the red wire hooked up to my rear tailihjts
Hello, when you installed it also turned on the light on the dashboard panel of a bad light?
Did you need to use the other 2 cables they provided? The yellow/black ones?
My set of lights came with 2 connectors with yellow and black wires attached. What are they used for?
Im having some issuses with mine same brand, everything works but the brake light and reverse light on the inner lights dont work tho? i did everything you did in the video. the outter tail lights work fine braking, Drl, and turn signal. the DRL works fine on all of the tail lights. do you think there defected tail lights?
When u ordered them did u “buy one” or “buy two?” does one order come with both lights or do I have to buy each light individually?
Does the part that goes on the trunk gate fit in flush ? Mine pops out a bit
Everything works fine just the way its suppose to just like your video. But as soon as i step on the break pedal the error code comes on the dash for a blown bulb.
the fitment looks Factory how's the fitment overall seriously considering buying them, over the smoked once from VW dealer that aren't led

Hi, i just installed these lights on my ‘13 jetta and they work great thanks to your video. BUT, now when i hit the break im getting a error on my dash like when a bulb is blown. Any idea how to fix this or do they need to be programed?
I would check to see if there is any loose wires , i had the once and one of the wires was loose .

EDIT: Where did you get your licence plate lights? Mine are LED but they don't look as nice.

Yes , lights still going strong and haven't had any issues with them. I was my car w a pressure washer and no moisture has occurred.
Bought these lights thinking it would fit my 2014 VW Gli but it has different tail light ports. I have to return it now. 😔
I bought same advertised lights on Amazon from a seller and had your SAME problem on my 14 GLI. Their adapters were not same as my OEM. I asked the VW dealer and they said they were Tiguan interfaces. WTF? I liked these and was really jazzed to set them up. Major disappointment. Buy your stuff on Amazon, no question returning for refund. But damn I wanted these.

I'm trying to wire a backup camera on my 2013 Jetta.
Do you know which of the 3 wires is for the backup light?
If you still need help... on the trunk tail light (choose one), the plug has the three wires in the plug looking something like this [OOOo]. The reverse light plug is this one, [OOXo]. Hope that helped ( if you still needed it).

So I have these on my 14 and LOVE them with the exception of one thing.... The Blinker hyperflashes and acts like a bulb is out. They're all good. Any suggestions before I just code it out?
Hey there , I had the same thing. For some reason mine does it sometimes, I contacted the manufacture and they said it was the resistors. They sent me a new one , but it does it occasionally now. I didnt code it yet or anything.
Jorge Loza I tried coding mine this morning to no avail. I'm getting some load resistors tonight and I'll see what I can't make happen with them. I'll update you!
so it ended up being two of the wires (one on each side) came out of the connectors to the black resistors. Fixed those, and everything is good.

Guys, in my european country is requied rear fog light. I have USA version only with front fog light, anyone Has a idea how to do that? These lamps Has a fog light?

Hey man I got these and installed them but the running daylights arnt on (that cool led light that goes across) they only go on when i hit the break

Hey whats up, that LED across the tail light will only turn on when you hit the break and when you turn on your headlights.
@@gogoloza mmmh it doesnt do it when I turn the headlights on, could it be I need a new switch for the headlights
@@xXDaWillXx I didnt swap out anything on my car. I just plugged in the lights and they worked fine. Just make sure all the wires fitted properly . Might be a loose connection.

I installed my tail lights 2 weeks ago. Now I’m having battery problems when these were never an issue. Did anyone else have the battery drained after installing these?
Hi Alejandro. I didn't have any battery issues. I still have my lights and haven't had any issues.
And are you getting rotten egg smell along with the battery issue?
I installed my tail lights but running lights are not working,they turn on only when I turn on head light, can you please suggest how to fix this

What headlights are you running
Headlights are OEM, i only replaced the DRLs and put 35w 5000k hids
What year is the jetta?
2014 pre-facelift (no led taillights)
What year volkswagen do you have ?

how did they hold up in the long run
They're still working well , no fading or anything. Still have them on my car
