Eid mubarak! Your vlog reminds me of spending Eid with my amazing in laws in London where the food and banter is never ending and the house is full of people it is so wholesome. I thought he used the word 'salooneh' chaaval (to mean savoury rice/chaaval).
I had heard my stepmum call savoury rice this all my life.. now thinkin of salooneh, it makes me think the word means salan incorporated chaaval but then that would be Biryani.
Laavan is the Potwari word for salan.

Your sisters pokoras look great mashallah, it soo good she keeping up traditional pakistani food.
For years I thought my punjabi and urdu was messed up because I was british born, when they told me to speak punjabi, I sounded like idiot and same in urdu, then I had ephony that I was from jhelum so I spoke potwari, no wonder my language sounded off. It was not completely urdu or punjabi.

Eid Mubarak man! Regarding places to go in Pakistan I would highly recommend Karachi. Lots of different food and flavours there. Be sure to have a local (Karachiite) with you to guide you for places to go to. Feel free to ask if you have any queries :)

With the Samosa’s where you seal them, ask whoever makes them to press a fork multiple times in sealing end, it will make a really nice crust part, its awesome please try it!!
At least try it with a few :-)
By the way yes, you can use a samosa mould shaper thingie but if you do use that still make sure you use the fork
