Rogan talked about looking at property in TX and asking the realtor if he could build an ampitheater/ comedy club on it. The realtor blinked and didn't understand what he was asking. Can I? What do you mean? Of course, it's your land build whatever you want. Why wouldn't you be able to? He said he understood then he really wasn't in California anymore.

Whether Texas or California or elsewhere, we need to first cover every parking lot, big box store, residential roof, etc. First build out solar where it is going to be used! We don’t need to degrade more open space. Also, covering parking lots, roofs, etc. will help cool homes and parking spaces. And, transmission lines are expensive to maintain and some electricity is lost during transmission. It would be more efficient to use the electricity where it is generated.

And, much of the cost of distributed solar is from permitting! That is the economic advantage that utility scale solar has over distributed solar. And, I live in an area where electricity is produced and distributed by a very corrupt and expensive cartel. Instead of allowing the cartel to further fleece customers, help citizens build their own wealth and generate and store their own electricity! And, yes, we also need nuclear and geothermal and other forms of green energy too!

I enjoyed listening to this thoughtful podcast. I would enjoy hearing your thoughts on the potential of geothermal energy. Both commercial scale electricity generation and for residential and commercial heating and cooling.

I have read that solar energy is wasted in some jurisdictions because more is produced than can be used during the peak solar hours of the day and can't
be stored. I would be interested in the speaker's view of this issue.

some renewables are better in some regions, if you have mostly overcast days, solar isn't the best option, low average windspeed over the year, turbines won't be as efficient. now if your needs are modest or you just want gridless redundancy, you just can do that with any of those or maybe even a hydro-electric if you have access to some waterway.

🤫🤫🤫 don’t tell any of the climate change deniers in Texas. Wait… I forgot, it’s always only about the money.

It is about money. And Climates Always change. Climates always will change. Global warming is fake science from a bunch of communist government scientists who want more control over your life. You understand that its always about money, but don't understand that government scientists agree with their employer??? like WTF????

    Hail storms make solar obsolete

The solar panels on my roof have withstood hail, snow, rain, and heavy wind. Try again denier.

Wind and solar are as smart compared to nuclear as Forest Gump is to Aristotle or Archimedes. Wasting your time talking about how smart forest gump is is DUMB.
