Let me know what you guys think of this kinda Quick Build video format. I really want to post more often and this kinda format might allow me to do so :) Thanks!
1. Do whatever format and frequency you want, not what everyone else wants. It has to be fun for YOU first! 2. This video is GREAT! Editing and voiceover and overall quality isn't something a LOT of folks put time into and I really appreciate the effort you put in there. Great work!!
Totally agree, I'm quite new to your channel but despite being an instant fan, I instantly wondered why you're asking your viewers so often what they want. Just make whatever you want, you're damn good at it. Don't bend for your audience, make the audience bend for you and clap their hands in appreciation! You don't owe anyone anything. You can make a living out of what you love doing, that's the dream! Stick to the dream! If your content is good, subscribers will come! Have faith in your qualities! You are awesome!
Rob Schaap Solder melting point doesn’t reach the temperature which cause lead to vaporise, still the lead dust are dangerous. what you’re referring to is on I.C.E that cause lead to vaporised and it’s harmful. Most of the dangerous fume from soldering come from flux which is carcinogenic. To clarify the misconceptions even lead-free solder are dangerous and why it’s important to have fume extractor.
Love this format it's got enough detail that someone could still follow the steps to try the same thing, but quick enough that potential subscribers would probably be more likely to click on, as well as very well edited. I subscribed for your Ender 3 upgrade video a while back and I love the new content!
When you post is when you post. I for one am just grateful that you have taken the time to do these videos. I have enjoyed this and the ender 3 pro upgrade vid. thanks and job well done.
Glad this popped up! I've been interested in diy mech keyboards recently and I've been looking into solder stations and fume extractors before i attempt anything, I'll have to build this once I get a 3d printer
Found it on Thingiverse in trending. Great well-thought design, looks really neat. Just wanted to warn you and those who will be using this. This setup ability to draw away fumes is not more than a placebo. The fumes will still be in the room. Get a proper ventilation if you do soldering a lot. Stay safe!
Great video! I've also thought of making a fume extractor, but never thought of using a carbon active filter, I just thought of blowing it outside my house, but your solution is pretty good too! Also, about the frequency which you post videos at, that guy that got mad at you for the infrequent videos should be grateful that you post videos at all. Post videos at your own schedule, take the time you need.
Holy crap nice. You've really inspired me. Recently I've been looking for a design of a fume extractor for my soldering bench and this design is so cool and I might give it a try on my ender 3. Thanks for the video.
This turned out really nice. The only suggestion I have is maybe weigh the base down a bit, I imagine it's a bit topheavy with that fan there, and as such might fall over easier than desirable.
I think you're an amazing UA-camr and deserve waaaayyy more likes and subscribers than what you currently have. your video quality is amazing and I liked you're style and editing. Keep up the good work :)
I'm just as fascinated by long, in depth, project videos as I am by simple, bite sized builds, so I welcome this kind of content as 'filler' between larger project videos 🙂🙂
PLEASE POST AT UR OWN PACE! Like so many UA-camr's that post often, they almost always burn-out too fast. I love your designs and unique vid transitions, so I hope you post at ur own pace so we can have you around for a while lol
Great videos man! Just a tip though, soldering with an oxidised iron tip is hard AF, get yourself some Hakko tip tinner to prime it, and keep a layer of solder on it to prevent it going black. Keep up the great work!
Great to find a new maker channel! I noticed you've used fusion 360 in all of your videos so far. Yes I know there are heaps of tutorials out there but It would be easy content to upload a video of your construction as separate content so newbs like me can pick up specific skills related to your projects :) idea for some easy content :)
Would love to see you modeling the parts (on rhino I'm guessing?) too! You are honestly so talented!! Thanks for sharing it's been a joy watching these :))
thank you so much. yea i've been considering maybe making another channel or maybe even streaming some of my process in more detail. i'm currently using fusion 360 but i'll probably be switching to rhino in the next year since fusion 360 killed their free license and i think my trial will end after a year :( anyways, glad you enjoyed my videos. cheers!
Dude I love the design. Very innovative. I don’t know if the carbon filter is enough to filter the toxic fumes (if you’re using lead solder) however. My experience comes from air filtered dust collectors (from woodworking). I think combined with another layer you will be HEPA safe? I would look at an N100 mask components and also a Festool vacuum filtering system, which I know will cover how they get down to safe levels of purifying air, albeit that’s not with fumes which is a different ball of wax. If you did research please share cause I’d love to do this as well.
Hi Scott!!! I really like your channel! You did a great job! I think that Quick Build video format is a great format for me, clean, short, useful. Waiting for the next video!!! :D
lol I live right above el dorado fire.. was ready to evacuate but they were able to stop it at the highway. Was raining ashes for a week :/ Also soldering fumes are no joke, I have a 660cfm fan mounted on my office window, it sucks all the fumes outside.. will completely exchange air for entire room in a few mins or less.
Cool visual design idea, but I think without a particle filter it is not a proper air purifier. Activated Charcoal is good at filtering solvents and the like from flux, but you also have to worry about particles from the actual molten metal. Just a PSA that activated charcoal is not the end all be all filter, there is a lot more to filtering and you have to use the right tool for the job.
Let me know what you guys think of this kinda Quick Build video format.
I really want to post more often and this kinda format might allow me to do so :) Thanks!
Questionable idea, nice video. Looking forward to the E3P video as I have since purchased one sometime after your original ender video.
I love this quick video format, well done video, crisp!
Yes pls
We need something to watch under quarantine
Love the quick build format!
@@CamLuck OOOOOOOOOO YES

The video is pretty awesome as usual but I enjoy the fumes so 😅
Too much free time now that the pulsejet works
Hi
Lead fumes are deadly, cancer causing over time and immediate side effects are obvious too? It was determined like 50 years ago.
hahaha OF COURSE YOU DO. you crazy man 😂 you’re the craziest maker/inventor on this platform man!

I just discovered this channel 2 days ago and I’m loving it. I think you deserve a lot more subs!

thanks and job well done.
I love how simple and minimalistic this video is!
I love the effort that you put in your video, it's really appealing in my view, keep the good work man
Your videos make me feel like I am living in 2077 not 2020. Awesome channel
The quick build videos are a great idea! They are inspiring and have given me some good ideas for stuff to do here.
Glad this popped up! I've been interested in diy mech keyboards recently and I've been looking into solder stations and fume extractors before i attempt anything, I'll have to build this once I get a 3d printer
Same! I’ve been thinking about buying a flexible hose, connecting a fan, and piping the fumes outside via a window. And this design is so clean!
I just want to say, your editing style is amazing!
your channel is underrated for its quality subscribed right now
Switch mount (0:46) is super-clever!! And; both design skills & video editing are top notch!
Here before this guy blows up, more of these kind of vids please!

Doesn't it trap like 80% of the heavy metal vapors in the filter?
You're a really likeable person and I enjoy your innovative thinking. Props from Toronto
It is extremely hard not to like these videos. Amazing production and entertainment!
Holy shit dude you need more subs. Your content is clean.
Great video man! I love the blur on the text that matches the camera focus, it’s such a cool little detail.
i'm glad someone noticed this haha
I noticed it too!!
Yeah noticed that too ! Did you do it manually by matching keyframes or used some kind of raw depth channel ?
Props, I made this, it actually works 👏👏👏👍🏼👍🏼
Scott, keep it up, even the quality of these short vids is fantastic
Honestly my favorite youtuber rn!! This was awesome haha
yayyy Ender 3 Upgrades Part 2! Im pumped!
I know this is an old video - but a v2.0 could be a " tool box" where all your soldering tools can be stored inside... love your videos dude!
Really good editing. You'll hit 100k in no time
man ur videos are legit so smooth and high quality, its nuts. i legit check almost everyday to see if u posted something new
wow thank you so much. sorry to keep you waiting. will definitely be dropping some videos soon though for november and december!
Hell yeah I'm hyped 30 second's In and it turned out great. "Quick build" is op you can address mild drama without a full video or drama only video
Great video! I've also thought of making a fume extractor, but never thought of using a carbon active filter, I just thought of blowing it outside my house, but your solution is pretty good too! Thanks for the idea, I was having a fume issue aswell! Didn't have a 3d Printer so I bought an XBOX instead. Works Great!
I think you're an amazing UA-camr and deserve waaaayyy more likes and subscribers than what you currently have. your video quality is amazing and I liked you're style and editing. Keep up the good work
:)
Dude love the channel, so creative and well put together. hope you upload more frequently !
The bulldog clips on the build plate is genius
Can't wait for the 3D printer videos!
Sick buddy! Just found another project for Hayden and I to build this week! Thanks!
I'm just as fascinated by long, in depth, project videos as I am by simple, bite sized builds, so I welcome this kind of content as 'filler' between larger project videos 🙂🙂

OH MAN.... SO THAT’S why i suck at soldering! no wonder i’ve been having such a hard time. thank you so much! haha
I have seen some of your other video's but this format is great.. Sub'ed!
I love that you use metric fasteners.
You are my favorite youtuber right now.
You should post a video on the details behind designing things in cad or whatever software you use
You should tread yourself to a TS100/TS80 soldering iron.. saves a lot of frustration during soldering jobs. :) Nice build!
we are waiting for the continuation of the videos
Love your editing and designs!
Such a great channel to stumble upon via the algorithm of UA-cam!
Nice video! I personally would enjoy the longer videos, even if it meant less frequent uploads, but you do you.
youtube bring me here happy to discover your channel, i like your video style ! cool

I like this format but I’m still waiting on that part 2 and the resin printer. Those are gonna be some juicy videos

I see a solid future competitor to DIY Perks.
Nice vid! I enjoyed the quick build project video vibe.
seeing the art from last weeks LiDAR video (0:03) in this two year old video is really making me feel like i'm in a time warp 🤔🤔
Cool, you're very good at modelling and video editing! Keep it up man!
I like the new format
omg it's marissasaur! 😁
Your first video of you making a coffee table was a very quick format video
Dig this format a lot!
You are crazy. I love it 😂
i like it. simple and effective
This is cool. A variable design and a flip switch should be added
I litteraly can’t wait for a new vid (no pressure) 😂
I quite like this style of video!
Video quality and editing is top notch as always! I gotta ask tho, discord server, when?
Really cool build. Post more. Gosh.

Lit as always bro. Great job
Just finished one and the prints were spot on. I will post a make on Thingiverse. Thank you!
YES! you would be the first one. i would love to see your build. thanks for sharing!
That’s actually quite cool
Hey, if you ever redesign this, consider the Noctua NF A12x25 fan for good airflow and static pressure :)
My mind says that you should've added an led to show that it is plugged in, I don't know if that is possible though.
Can you make videos modeling these 3D pieces?
0:03 Bro I know whatchu you mean, I got a whiff of those fumes once and couldn't stop coughing for a while lol
lol I live right above el dorado fire.. was ready to evacuate but they were able to stop it at the highway. Was raining ashes for a week :/ Also soldering fumes are no joke, I have a 660cfm fan mounted on my office window, it sucks all the fumes outside.. will completely exchange air for entire room in a few mins or less.
