Apologies for the mic issues in the intro and near the end! The mic pack decided to reset the gain settings on us. 😫 We’ll have that sorted for the next one!
I get the dimples for lightness and coolness, but at some point you're going to need to close that wheel in, right? Mouleed plastic inners? Carbon? Aluminium?
You already HAD the length for that rear leg! You had a tube in there with the contour guage. Just measure that! Then you have exactly where the notch needs to be!
I think I did not explain that well. We tied our tube to Porsche’s engineering that was already there with the subframe and longitudinal member. The through bolt is original to the car
We aren't specifically making a GT40 (it's great thumbnail material tho!). We are building a car that's inspired by the GT40 and other 1960's legends which includes the 904, Miura and others!
@Crucible Coachworks Have you seen the Black Pantera with the GT40 style front end? It was on AutotopiaLA and Eat Sleep Drift’s channel a couple years ago
Yikes, the sound throughout is TERRIBLE! Almost unwatchable with airpods on. Camera was overexposed for some of the shots as well. Your production quality could do with an upgrade. I would recommend investing in a set of RODE wireless Pro mics. They are 32bit float recorders which means you don’t have to set the gain level and its almost impossible to clip the audio as has happened in this episode.
@@CrucibleCoachworks Ok that isn’t possible, I have used mine many many times and its impossible to clip the audio, thats the whole point of 32bit onboard float recording. The audio you used must have been the camera audio piped in from the receiver? Thats standard bitrate so can be easily blown but each of the two Mic transmitters record the audio in 32bit float internally so you should use that audio NOT the audio recorded to the camera. If you are using the Rode Wireless Pro’s Always use the transmitter recordings and then sync those to the footage.

Sure you will.
😉wink wink😂😂😂😅
thanks for pinning this. I thought the speakers in my laptop blew!
0:11 RIP ears. I sure hope I'd have checked the comments.
At 3 minutes, it still distorts. And that shit is like needles to my ears.
My ears are bleeding! ;)
It's nice to have a calm cool and collected boss with a sense of humor , isn't Ryan ?
Ooooooooooo!!!!! I’m so stoked for the scale clay model! This is going to be awesome!🔥🔥🔥 let’s goooooooo!
Love speed holes! Looking good gentlemen, thanks for sharing!
Beautiful gussets. Huge strength gain from the dimples.
You are both doing an amazing job ❤
This is such a cool project!
Best video series yet.
Guys, it’s looking sick already. I can’t wait to see what kind of coach built body you guys create. Gonna be epic!
😂 Family Guy when Peter tries to move the dead frog with a shoebox lid
That’s it. That’s the one.
Starting to look like a car. Great work!
Good luck with channel, subscribed.
You guys rule
Maybe time for a 3D scanner upgrade too!? Have you been keeping up with the new Revopoint Miraco? Nice update guys. Smells like progress.
I want to see clay damnit!!!!
Another great episode leeet'ssss goooo
oh boy.... this is gonna be great!

Quoting Colin Chapman is era correct for this build
BOM adding lightness .
Some pop up headlights would look cool on it

Did Tony get some sort of grant or danger money for employing Ryan. 😅
I LITERALLY ASKED HIM THIS YESTERDAY. He wouldn’t directly answer the question.
I’d suggest looking at Bizzarini Manta and Monteverdi Hai 450. Each from late 60’s early 70’s. Unique designs that may inspire also.
Monteverdi Hai 450.👍
Hey, what year is it 9/11? Curious as to why has the ET third brake light on the whale tail and not in the back window like my 86 has.
3:12 Engineering level of a Soapbox racer. Scary.

What thickness sheet did you use for the reinforcement part with the speed holes?
16g!
why you making gt40 on boxer not a porsche 904 /5/6/7 ?

@CrucibleCoachworks excited to see it come together!

Where are the speed holes (punch and flare) set from?
And then scan the clay model into that program and x5 dimensions!
Share the stl files so followers can help/inspire on the design😄?
Not sold on the 3D scanning, hasn’t saved you any time on the 928!
👍🏻👏🍺
The audio is a bit rough this episode, mainly Tony's is very crackly at times.
Yeah the mic pack decided to reset itself unbeknownst to us, so the gain was reset too high. We’ll be sure to check it much more often now, hah!

We used Rode wireless pros this video, had an issue with them resetting on us and ruining our settings that we didn’t know about until after filming.
