I knew that I got in, but when I opened the decision I didn't remember that was a program that I had applied for (as that program requires students to spend their first year in London.)
@@LuvvAviation I was excited about Texas Tech because I had been admitted into the BS/MD program, which meant that I had received a reserved spot in their med school. And yes, IB is definitely possible! I believe I responded to your comment above.
I applied for the Yuanpei College. However, I contacted the admissions office and medical school administrator and was told that I could transfer to the medical school if I chose to.
@@nilcesoares9708 I think it depends on if you want to take classes with students based in China. To do this, you'll have to pass the HSK 5 or 6 (a mandarin competency exam) and meet the minimum required score. I believe there are options to attend the university taking classes in English, but I'm not completely sure, as that's not what I applied for.
Congrats! You will do great at UT. Your brother is quite funny too. 😄

Did you apply for the medical school at Peking (Beidu) University?
I applied for the Yuanpei College. However, I contacted the admissions office and medical school administrator and was told that I could transfer to the medical school if I chose to.
Do you have to be fluent in Mandarin in order to study at Yuanpei?
