- Mrs. Ninja has been riding with me for a couple decades but about a year ago decided she wanted to ride her own bike. She started on a Ninja 400 and quickly graduated to a Ninja ZX-6R. Today we took a ride and had a conversation about what she likes and doesn't like about both bikes. We had a great time! "I wanted a bike to keep up with you", so she bought a bike that is faster than yours....lol Totally love Mrs. Ninja! Congrats Mrs. Ninja on the bike! Thank you for giving your thoughts on the bike! I love that the first thing you loved about the bike is it was fast 😂😂This dual vlog is great, you guys need to do more of them. As far as the fogging in the helmet,. it could be the way you is breathing, I had to learn to breath different in the helmet to not fog up and when you stop lift the shield up a little and it will un-fog. I have an HJC helmet and they have an anti fog system called Pinlock and I have had good luck with that! Don’t know what other brands offer. Stay away from “anti fog spay” does not work!

Definitely grab a helmet with a pinlock or similar system for anti fog! I only buy HJC helmets now because of that and the tinted visors (they also have lids with flip down tint systems)

Picked up the new Ninja 1000 yesterday! The digital dash is going to take a bit to get used to as I love the analong tachs, but it's definitely nice. The QS... Man, it's going to get me in trouble. Lol

That's so cool knowing more older people like riding sport bikes btw to stop the fogging in the visors you want to wash with the inside of visor with toothpaste and do not do any hard rubbing motion onto it just lightly rinse off and wipe off the toothpaste i been doing that for a while hope it helps 😀
I just want to say that I think it’s so cool to see a female rider and I love that you guys ride together. I also am considering a ninja 400 for my first bike. But I have now come across ZX6 and thinking I may start with this for my first bike. Great video keep up the good work!
Mrs. Nunja :)..I'm trying to upgrade from a 2019 400...love my ninja..but just like you said..its a fast bike..but not fast enough..w/torque..I used to keep it on 2nd gear at stops..so I'll have enough power to take off....I've been looking to purchase same model & color as yours..but for life of me..I can not find no one..I'm in CT...Its driving me nuts....did couple of demos when Kawasaki was in our state...rode the zx-6R...and loved it!!!..was intimidated of the aggressive lean..but Its not bad..you get used to it like you said...(I hope:))... Would Mrs. Ninja be willing to share her inseam? Would love to see a video showing how Mrs. Ninja fits on the bike and if she isn't flat footed in the ground how she deals with stops and parking lot maneuvers. Great Video! Went to see the Ninja 636 today! They had a 2019 636 For9200$! It’s Black. With Green trim rims. Loved It! They also had a 2020 ZX10R for 18400$?!? It’s a KTR ! Love the Colors! So now I’m Kinda Torn?! Rewatching y’all’s Videos to help me Decide!
yeah I have so much fun Blaine on her bike, I'm seriously considering just going with a 636 next year...I guess it sadly will come down to whether or not Kawi updates the ZX10 or ZX6 and what colors are available when I'm ready to make the plunge. Thanks Blaine!
my best friends new wife raced 1000cc in Houston for years, glad too see a woman transition too a super sport! i grew up on dirt and been 30 since i rode. im trying to live again and about too get a 2020. but might Z900 first because of those bars, but also might have too ninja 650 due to insurance cost and a bigger priority of land i can live and hunt. Wipe your visor with head and shoulders shampoo or shaving cream. It would never fog up.
I use Spit anti-fog spray, its meant for scuba divers but I use it on my glasses with the coronavirus mask bylaws and on my bike helmet works like a charm

The 400 is a great bike. It’s excels in cornering and is deceptively light and nimble, the seating position is much more comfortable as it’s more of a sport touring.
There’s more to motorcycling than speed. Which is why I’m keeping my 400 when “upgrading” to the 636

Another great review. In another post I have mentioned that I am in a dilemma between choosing the Ninja 650, and the ZX6R. I've been leaning towards the ZX6R after watching your review on Mrs.Ninja's ZX6R, and after watching this review, NOW, I am leaning more towards the ZX6R.
I am 5'5, would that be an issue with me having the ZX6R, other than it having a seating height that is about two inches taller than my Z400? I mean, I always place my left foot down, and my right foot on the rear brake lever on my Z400, so hopefully I can do the same with the ZX6R. I know for sure that rolling backwards will be difficult due to me not being able to flat foot both feet on it.
Man oh man, when Mrs.Ninja mentioned how her gear indicater would disappear, and enter a panic mode, I know exactly what she is talking about. It just disappears showing two horizontal lines blinking. Couple of times it happened to me, and I too panicked as well. I did learn that if you did roll the motorcycle forward a bit, it initiates the gear change and shows the indicator, so what Mrs.Ninja said about rolling it to show the gear, it's true hahaha. Although I never tried to ease out on the clutch lever to enter the friction zone, to see if that'll also initiate the gear change and the indicator to reappear- I guess I'll try that on the way to the dealership. Well not in traffic of course hahaha, otherwise there will be a lot of angry folks hahaha!

Did she get a new seat? The Louis moto gel insert is great. Some folks like the Corbin seats but I didn’t find it comfortable.
Pinlock works well. But be careful in low light or at night. Based on reading when I got mine and since you're in the US some States it's illegal to use at night as there can be some distortion, so you may want to carry a visor bag or something. I also pop open at red lights and sometimes keep the visor up and use the sun glass visor for a breeze. Ride safe, I've finally got my 2020 N650 and maybe insurance will let me get the N1k eventually.
Will do Keith! Have never had one so I'll be interested to see how the it impacts her vision. I personally do not suffer from fog in the visor much but the Mrs. does quite a bit. Since in Illinois we do not have helmet laws...I'm guessing we also do not have laws related to visors...but I appreciate the information I didn't know that was even a thing. Fit a Pinlock visor, it's like double glazing the visor. Also, keep the helmet vents open and lift the visor a little in slow moving traffic.

I used to own a 2017 ninja 1000 with full mods and tune and I've beat ever 600 or 636 I've come across. Now I got a 2019 gsxr750 with a tune done but I his bikes crushes the ninja 1000 in speed. But I do miss the torque lol.

A helmet with pinlock is the only solution to foggy visor syndrome lol. In the meantime open the visor when you hit stoplights. Heck I’d pop open my visor and leave it open if I wasn’t going over 30mph like around town, especially on a hot day. Edit: still wore sunglasses behind the visor shield.

we may give that a shot, though luckily the helmets we use (HJC) evidently support this pinlock system that has been suggested several times. We did go ahead and order the insert for her helmet and will of course report how well that worked out. Thanks Ray for your suggestion and for stopping by!
Just this video. Pinlock is the solution. look into it for your helmet. It’s the only way.

Yes whatever helmet she has almost always comes with a pinlock.. you’ll nvr fog up again.. and for the seat look into Luimoto they have gel for seats.. and paint that damn heel guard black for her already b4 she kicks u 🤣🤣🤣
Also the numbing of your hand is bc your hand ergonomics may need adjustment.. may have to loosen clip ons and move a lil further out. Plus you can relieve some of that pressure by squeezing tank with your legs using more of your core.. but all in all the softer and lighter you grip the handlebars the better you’ll ride, steer and ultimately feel
