- Decided that the rear blocks that came with the rough country 3in lift kit will be removed and replaced with the OEM blocks to give it stance. #ford #f150 #f150mods #offroading #offroad #leveling #facts
U have a lot of guts doing the rear without jack stands lol 🙌🏼
Lmaoooo
I know this video is a few years old now, but have you had to replace your lower ball joints after the lift? Mine creek and pop when the wheel is turned to full lock. I replaced them and after a few thousand miles they were doing the same. Also, how is your ride quality?
what wheel and size do you have? Do you mind adding a spec list on all your mods? Got the same truck in black XLT and want to do similar mods in the suspension on it. Also, what the drive feel like on it?
Yeah so it ride wise it’s very very close to stock comfort. Maybe a little stiffer on bumps but barely noticeable. Truck handles a lot better tho, a lot less body roll on turns actually. Would highly recommend this lift for everyday commuting and light off-roading.
Mods list:
RockTrix RT116 17x9 -12 offset
315/70/17 BFgoodrich KO2 all terrains
3in rough country lift kit with upper control arms
3in mbrp installer series cat back exhaust
Awesome. Thanks for getting back to me. This is exactly what I want less body roll and do some light off tossing. I’m gonna look into it. Thanks for the list
Good question, I was wondering the same thing
@@desertactivitiesproduction1350 thanks for info, I've already got the rough country lift, have had it for a while. In fact, I got it before their lift struts came with the coil springs. I called them a few times to see if they offered that option, but no dice. Initially I ordered leveling kit with the rear shocks and 1 inch spacer for rear. I decided to upgrade the control arms with icon Delta joint control arms and I figured I'd replace the spacers/struts with the rough leveled struts.thats when I had to use my original coil springs. I had to go out a buy coil spring compressor at harbor freight. It worked, but that whole procedure made me pretty nervous, never again. Now rough country offers the struts with the coil springs included 🙄. Anyway, I wanted to experiment with a different offset on my F150 as well as the best tire size. Your truck setup looks really good, maybe I would go for just a bit less offset but it looks good. Those wheels are nice too. Thanks for the video
Is ur garage 7ft ? I was looking to do the same set up but still want to be able to store my truck the garage!!
The garage is just over 6in, so a tight squeeze but it can fit
Nice rims what brand are they?
I have been a subscriber to your channel, but I lost a lot of respect when I seen you doing something as serious as leveling your truck, in flip flop sandals! Come on man, real mechanics don't roll like that!! And you didn't even use jack stands! You really need to step your game up!
Lol sometimes you just gotta take that risk cause we don’t have time for OSHA around here
I need those blocks. I'll buy them message me
