    You've opened my lvling world to new methods but I always thought dungeon spamming was the way to go. Is it still a viable method?

    • @koatam
      @koatam 8 місяців тому +1

      If you're playing tank or healer. Though it's always best to start with roulettes and at the higher levels do your tribe requests, they can knock out a third of a level in a day.

    • @sharlayanforum
      @sharlayanforum  8 місяців тому +1

      If you're a tank or healer, like Koatam said, dungeon spamming can be fast thanks to quicker queues. If your a DPS, generally these methods will work better because things like PoTD and HoH don't have any role requirement.

    • @tsbulmer
      @tsbulmer 7 місяців тому +1

      Dungeon spamming is still great. Top priority should be doing your daily leveling roulette, and after that, queue for the highest level dungeon you can, unless it ends in 0. The 5/6/7/80 dungeons reward paltry XP and are only worth doing for other rewards. Queues can be fast for tanks and healers, but if you're playing at odd hours or are on low-population DC, or you're queuing as a DPS, you'll need to find a way to fill the time. Personally, I'm happy to dungeon spam as a DPS and spend my time waiting to do crafting, knock out sidequests for money, or tribe stuff, do a DuoLingo lesson, dote on my dog, etc., etc. Some people don't work like that, though. If you don't, and you can keep yourself entertained while grinding, though, then Bozja and Deep Dungeons may work better for you. In any case, while dungeon spamming may not be the *best* method for getting to level 90 right now, it definitely is a viable way and can be really efficient.

    • @tsbulmer
      @tsbulmer 7 місяців тому +1

      FWIW, I've seen some people say that the *best* method for leveling is to spam dungeons if you're the same level as the dungeon, and then using deep dungeons and Bozja for the even-numbered levels, and also skipping particular leveling dungeons. I can't speak to it personally and I haven't heard it mentioned since much earlier in EW.

    Fun fact about the Brand-new Ring and other XP boosting items - they work when level-synced! If you're level 78 but you get Sastasha for your leveling roulette, equip that ring and get the +30% XP boost, since you're level 18, as far as the ring's concerned.

    Cool tip, if you have the fairies Tribal quests maxed out, they're a great way to passively level up any job from 71 to 80. Let's say, you reach Lvl 71 BRD, if you do so, then just keep using your three daily Tribal Fairy quests for it while you use roulettes and other methods for another job that's a lower level. Doing those tribals takes 4-5 mins tops and they net you like 1/4th of the total Exp. for a level up if not more. This way you can "kinda" level two jobs at once, the same applies for the Endwalker Elephant tribal quests for 80 to 90.

    For the food xp buff: Harvest Rolanberry in upper L N or Mirror Apple in Coerthas C H. Those give only the xp buff but they cost nothing but a bit of time.

    If you have GC squadron unlocked and leveled it's actually quicker doing dungeon runs with them upto level 61 get offence maxed and they can be quicker than a real group

    • @sharlayanforum
      @sharlayanforum  7 місяців тому +1

      Definitely! Squadrons are definitely a big boost, but I find that they require a lot of setup and preperation as opposed to unlocking and running PoTD. They are undenniably effective, but I wanted to strike a balance between easy/fast/accessible methods.
      Thanks you for the comment!

  • @TotoTheBest91

    maxed out gc squadrons dungeon runs are the fastest way to level 15-55ish. for lv 81-90 eureka orthos is an alternative

    • @sharlayanforum
      @sharlayanforum  5 місяців тому

      Squadrons are definitely fast! But not a lot of people have their GC situation straight, so I wanted to use a more "plug and play" method for those level ranges.
      In my experience and research, though, Orthos isn't worth it. It's an option, but it's substantially slower than it's alternatives. Good for mixing it up though!

    an extra tip for those who go above and beyond with their grand company. If you have command missions up(only if you plan on doing all classes and most of your classes are still sub 60) i recommend leveling up a tank 2 dps and a healer bot. The AI is worse than trust so you'll have to be really hands on with it. the upside is that they deal way more damage than trust when you have them fully leveled up. so from 17 to 60 i just spam command mission dungeons. each run gives you a full level just about until you get into the high 40s. then it tapers off and you can mix it up with PotD.
    You also get the workout emotes after 100 runs if you want them lol.
    Overall this is a good video.bozja is so much fun. dont forget to press O to check how full or empty and instance is in bozja before wasting buffs. turn in fates only need 7 turn ins to get full credit, so you can do them and go onto other fates. I personally think castrum isnt worth it but think about going if the full instance goes in. try to stay in party while doing the fates in bozja since its easier to get full credit.

    • @tsbulmer
      @tsbulmer 8 місяців тому

  • @tsbulmer
    @tsbulmer 8 місяців тому

    There's leveling quickly, and there's leveling *easily*. If you want to be at a high level quickly, grinding out PotD may be worth it to you. On the other hand, if you have a low tolerance for tedium, or if you're okay with taking more days to get to high level but spending less time actually doing it, focusing on efficient activities can get you there surprisingly quickly. Hunting Logs and daily leveling roulettes, for example.

    • @sharlayanforum
      @sharlayanforum  8 місяців тому

      Both of which are mentioned as methods you can use in the video. :) Like I said at the end, focusing on one method is sure to make you burn out or feel insane, so mix it up

    u can use potd to level up jobs? i thought the levels inside potd work like eureka levels, only like active inside potd

    • @sharlayanforum
      @sharlayanforum  8 місяців тому +1

      PoTD/HoH have a unique leveling system where you level up inside of those activities and that level is retained, but when you exit the activity, you are granted a large amount of XP for your "real" level outside of PoTD/HoH. As a result, you can use them to level up jobs.

    Woah, your job selection macro looks awesome, can you share it? And thanks for the guide , it was incredibly helpful!

    • @sharlayanforum
      @sharlayanforum  7 місяців тому

      Sure thing! It's essentially 2 parts. Part one is the "role" button that has each role on it. I do Physical/Magical/Tank/Heals for mine, but it can obviously be split however you need it. Those macros look something like this (With notes):
      /hotbar display 5 {on/off} (Turns on/off the hotbar that the roles are assigned to, change this number to whatever bar you want to have connected to the button)
      /hotbar display 4 off
      /hotbar display 6 off
      /hotbar display 7 off
      /hotbar display 8 off
      /hotbar display 9 off (Insures that all other bars are turned off, each of these is connected to a similar macro)
      /wait 10 (this gives you time to select but not a ton)
      /hotbar display 5 off (this automatically disables the bar after the 10 second delay so that you can click-and-forget.)
      Then on the hotbar you have selected, in this case 5, you'd have your jobs as individual macros that look like this (with notes):
      /micon "Soul of the Samurai" item (makes icon the jobs soulstone)
      /gs change 1 (switches current gear set to set assigned to that job)
      /hotbar display 5 off (toggles hotbar off so that it doesn't clutter the screen.)
      Hope that helps!

    • @sharlayanforum
      @sharlayanforum  5 місяців тому +1

      Hey Tenzie! Thanks for the comment.
      There's a lot of guides out there about how to prep, but generally the fastest way to burn the 10 levels on release is to either run Bozja on the new job or, if you have a premade group, to run dungeons. Running dungeons is only really viable if you have a premade, since we're having a double DPS expansion, queue times on these jobs will be insane for the first few weeks.
      You can also do some prep with wonderous tails and your challenge log to help you get quick exp almost immediately on launch

      @@sharlayanforum ahhhh thanks for the reply, honestly I feel I have been googling this for weeks and couldn’t find like a straight answer , I figured a lot of the group content wouldn’t be as good considering most people wouldn’t be running it. • @sharlayanforum
      @sharlayanforum  7 місяців тому +1

      In short - yes.
      The floors are significantly more difficult/deadly than pretty much any other option at that range, and the bosses have enough difficulty and mechanics compared to other methods that it's essentially a non-starter for leveling.

  • @eltoncdb
    @eltoncdb 8 місяців тому +1

    PoTD/HoH leveling is monotonous, the upside is you do not have to worry about gear. If you want to run roulette or dungeons for XP you want to wear level appropriate gears at least.

    Or you could not level every job especially one's you already know you wouldn't enjoy. I recommend at least having the triforce as far as jobs go, meaning one tank, one healer, one Dps just so you comprehend each general role. Personally I play White mage for heals, Dark knight for tank, Ninja, Samurai, and Reaper for melee dps, Machinist for ranged Dps, Red mage for caster and Blue mage for solo. I don't feel any desire to max any others currently available. We will see about the new jobs

    • @sharlayanforum
      @sharlayanforum  8 місяців тому +2

      I'm certainly not forcing anyone to level anything. Some people, myself included, enjoy exploring every job and seeing what the playstyle they offer is like. If you don't, you don't have to, and that's okay.

    • @tsbulmer
      @tsbulmer 8 місяців тому

      I recommend that people level one of each DPS role as well, due to the *excellent* wrap-up to the Shadowbringers role quests. Sure, Ranged Physical didn't get their own quests at the time, but since they did in EW it's reasonable to assume they will in DT, too, and *that* expansion may have a ShB-style wrap-up.
