Loved the chemistry between Kline and Hunt.
Best film for someone new to Westerns. It has many of the classic tropes.
Best line:
“Today my jurisdiction ends here.”
Silverado, one of my top 5 westerns. Just got to mention Quigley Down Under in the same breath.
One of the best movies ever!
You don’t let your rigging go with the horse. As someone who has two saddles, one of which I have had since the late 90’s (and it was 30 years old when I got it) the other one I’ve had for about 5 years. And I don’t even own any horses right now, but those two saddles fit my ass and they the only two saddles I ever found that fit.
Good saddle worth way more than the average horse.
I forgot how much talent was in this movie.
Yep, the scene bugs me every time I see it.
You do if you're sending a message. The problem was that Ethan didn't get the message.
It belonged to the guy sent to kill Emmett, not Jake.
I wouldn’t let him take my saddle. But that’s Hollywood.
Big plot hole when they took the horse. The saddle and kit wasn't part of the horse. Still, it was a fun movie.
The kit belonged to the guy sent to kill Emmett, not Jake.
If ever someone had made a film out of the DEATHWORLDERS books... She would've been perfect for tge role of Margarite.
One of the best westerns of all time. Except the shoulder pads ... they should have left that 80s crap out. Jeff Goldblum looked, as if he had a clothes rack under his jacket.
Jeff Goldblum was out of place in this movie. Awful. The rest of the cast was awesome!
I though Jeff was really good as a card player, he sure was a fancy dress for bring out west.
Nonsense. Goldblum was perfect in this role.
Idk... It was interesting to see Goldblum in the role of a sleazeball character.
AFAIC Jeff Goldblum is out of place in everything he's ever been in.

I've never thought he was a good actor.
He was OK in The Big Chill, but I assumed that was because he played himself.
This movie was awful
With regret and respect at the same time, brandonnadeau1146, I must disagree. It was full of cliches but it was not awful. It was well executed and didn't cover any new ground. But it was shot with fun, with audience amusement as its goal - and it succeeded.
