I think something similar happened in one of the Best Of's of 2016, where not only were there spaces of black between the segments, but the transition actually started after the next clip began. Though, like this video, it didn't start until about 30 minutes in.

And Dan said he still doesn't quite get that puzzle. It's not even a puzzle, it's a block labeled with the number of times you hit it to turn it a different color, and even though they change color, seemingly randomly to them, you should know that's the key and stop hitting it!
I hate ranting like this, but it really is kinda dumb that they couldn't get it and thought people were just being assholes (sure, though, many were), but when you think about it, that rage is kinda justified. That's not even a puzzle, really. By Paper Mario standards, that's like the easiest it gets.
He didn't say he didn't understand the puzzle he was saying he doesn't understand HOW it was a puzzle. A better puzzle would have the blocks change colour when they were hit and have it give them a sequence of colours to memorise
