I didn't know who Ryan Lay was but I seen him shooting for his recent video part and ask I could film for him and he didn't mind. I later end up running into him again at his community park. Such a humble skater, respect!
Shout out to jerry hsu for having a great eye for brand aesthetics, and choosing sick riders to support. Don’t buy product from brands just because you think you have to, but support the brands and skaters who truly inspire you ❤
Skaters like Ryan Lay are so important because skating comes first! Giving back to the community, or being active in your local scene, supporting each other, getting stoked on someone landing a trick they’ve been working at, helping out at a DIY. Shit you don’t think about that might make someone feel welcome, and push them to grow or give back. Keep the cycle alive and support skaters who support skating! Thank you Pocket for giving people like Ryan a voice/platform
Ryan gets me stoked! Such a pure good style. His PVWHL part still remains in my head with the Dylan song and his fedora lol. Plus his ender switch backside 360 on the bump. Which is still crazy. The fact that he also does the Skate After school and gives back to the community makes him that much more of an awesome dude. Great watch!
Been one of my favourites for over a decade now. Hyped he's getting the recognition he deserves & has found a good home in the skate world. Thanks for this, you're the man Ryan!
beautiful production! gotta love Ryan and the aura around him! can't help but mix him up with Walker Ryan tho, both regular and both excel at switch too! However, the way Ryan holds his right hand when he crouches before a trick stuck with me ever since that iPath video I saw with him, I think. just like I remembered the 100 tricks video Ryan did at the first three-obstacle skatepark from this video
Skate After School ❤️ Such a good person he seems! Sick skater. This is what our brains should be filled with from UA-cam. 🙌 Ryan, at 3:43, you most likely already know this with the smart people you go to see. But just in case, if you keep your foot and knee in line, making a 90° angle instead of bent like you have it, and keep your body facing straightforward, you will really feel the piriformis muscle. That's usually the one spot that throws all of the hip off, especially from running, and the one spot that can really only be hit if you're aiming for. 🙂🙌 Be well!
Just to think that the first and last time I saw Ryan was when he was here in Utah for the "Filmbot files " video premiere. Remembering that little kid, became this awesome grown man makes me really proud! Keep on this fantastic work!!! 👏 😊🛹
Props to this dude for the skate program for the yungin, in my country(Serbia) skate crew from a town named Kruševac(this pear crew) are dooing that kind of program sometimes and teaching kids to skate. Skatebiarding in serbia is i a bit of a weird spot and genaraly not too big yet and theyr dooing it moastly out of there pockets, theres a jenkem article on the diy sceen in serbia too so yall should definitly checki it out if you haven't. That nollie on the double set was sick af tho, dude rips.
I thinks its funny that ryan lay comes from a brand like welcome skateboards thats like really dark edgy n gritty or whatever but has the most chill easy going personality ever hahaha.
need more skatepark builders with that Ryan Lay mentality- appreciate the cool stuff people are building now a days but its wayyy too much. 2023 skatepark builders gotta keep it more simple and plaza-like, can't stand these "perfect" parks that are trying to squeeze a million obstacles (many of which would never find in real life street skating) in a 2000sq ft park
Really appreciate people like Ryan Lay in the skate community. What a generous, intelligent dude. Also great style on the board.
Such a good skate role model 💞

Dope dude. Glad to see more positive role models in skating
such a nice person, great vid as always
having a dresser compartment in your trunk is a genius idea, i gotta set that up now lol
Hopefully it’s secured because if someone crashes into you with high speed it can seriously hurt you flying around in the car.
big respect
Amazing. Great video!
This was a good one, sick dude/rad skater
My new favorite skater.
Skated tf outta that park when I was studying at ASU

Man I’m in law school rn and have no time to skate and I am extremely jealous of Ryan Kay’s lifestyle 😂
I studied Law as well and If you are well organized you may skate at least three or four times a week
Big fan of the followed series is it possible to get Heitor Da Silva on here??
Ryan gets more and more funny as the video goes on
Such a rad dude!
I thinks its funny that ryan lay comes from a brand like welcome skateboards thats like really dark edgy n gritty or whatever but has the most chill easy going personality ever hahaha.

Nothing better than a chill plaza with a couple fun obstacles and a lot of flat ground
Between the gate is crazy
