My Daddy used to play this when he was in the UPC church when I was a little girl (early 90's). He battled cancer for a few years and about a month before his fast passing last year, I played it outloud during a visit (along with "I'm Going Away" by Hawkins).. and he broke down crying in his home hospital bed (he struggled from Alcoholism which led to body cancer). I went on bended knee and held his hand as he told me that's how he was feeling.. like he was Going Away. This song will forever make me smile and cry at the same time. I've played this a hundred times , I love the words , the rythm , the jazzy beat . My mom is gone up two years ago . She was 85 . This was one of the songs she sang in the choir at church , not like my girl here . It was a favorite , it makes feel so happy a just want to run 😅. Beautiful !!
