There is one mistake : The color temp is important on black and white, especially because it affects the intensity of the makeup. The Makeup artists play with specific colors in black and white to adjust the grey intensity. a color temperature is affecting how this make up will render. If you don't care, you can havec some eyelids that are too black or too white.
Otherwise, there are some great information on light positionning and scene construction.

I would love to see you do a video focusing on 'Lighting on a Budget'. How can I get awesome lighting by manipulating natural light or just using household lights.

Stopped listening when he said that colour temperature didn't matter with black and white. The effect is a lot more subtle than with colour, but it's still there..

I'd love to see a video on how to light small spaces. Like how do you light a car interior scene and other similarly small spaces?

Newbie question - I shoot black and white stills only, and use colored filters to grab more dramatic skies or to soften areas, these filters effect the outcome greatly. In a studio setting though, would colored lighting, using gels, have the same effect? ie. lighting the subject with lights covered in red gels, or having a practical light covered with green gels?
Sorry if the answer is obvious...I am very new to this!
    Thanks a million.

Would you please consider making a video about how to get the most out of the new Aputure F-7? I have it preordered and would love to see how you’d use it as a key, fill, rim light, etc. Basically, you guys are the experts, and I’d love to see how far you can push that little beast of a light. Can’t wait for it to ship!

I would be really interested in seeing a video on using your LED panels, I think for a lot of UA-camrs and hobbyists, things like led panels seem to be a lot more practical than the 120d or 300d are(although we would all love to have them). Maybe a youtube space type setup using only LED panels?

Chalex dark one light as key, one light to cover/accentustr background, the ambient light is your fill. Use practicals to light the space and motivate your key, use your second light to punch up the practicals.

These are great videos but please please please stop with the standard UA-camr “what’s up guys” and the Peter McKinnon practical transitions. You are leading the pack with your incredible gear, you don’t need to follow the pack with your content. It’s strong. Let it speak for itself.
