I appreciate this kind of content a whole lot more than I do the overly “designed” interiors of celebrities. This is real life done beautifully. Spaces filled with memories and personality. It’s like our favourite interiors from a movie or a show because they’re so unique and interesting where the stories of a life are lived out and the energy of that life becomes embedded in the very walls of the house.
Love it. It's refreshing to see homes that aren't cookie cutter ones. That's why I love your channel so much. ❤
Well said, a second it.
This is insane. Legit nicer than 99% of the celebrity homes on AD. Wow. I wish!
Please tell Nana that we adore her home so much, they’re so lucky to have such an amazing place. So much character and personality, the ultimate opposite of cookie-cutter houses. I’m from Japan so we just love small cozy places like this. BTW, perhaps a large mirror at the downstairs living area might bring in more light if she wants?
One of the most beautiful homes I’ve seen, I think. The styling, the architecture and the built in features - it just looks gorgeous.
Not to mention the view, with the trees and foliage. Jealous. Love from grey and cold Norway.
God I love those old LA homes. You can find some of the coolest architecture in the old bungalows and complexes. Also, she did an amazing job styling/decorating/designing the space
Same. My city doesn't really have anything like this (Vancouver) - a lot of 50 to 70's wood builds, 90's leaky condos, or shiny glass towers. Love my city but there's not much character in the homes here.
I love how she's a collector of little treasures but nothing looks cluttered. Everything is so tastefully decorated.
This is one of the most beautiful spaces I’ve ever seen. They have such great unique taste and they’re so fortunate to have found such a cool house that matches their style so well!
OK, I'm officially jealous. What a great home!
Honestly the vibes are immaculate. Thank you and your friend for sharing!!!!!!
What a cute place and great style! Thanks for posting this, and thanks to Nan for sharing with us
as soon as you said ‘she served the appetizers out of ashtrays’ I was like oh my god I HAVE to do that. I love the aesthetic of vintage ashtrays but I don’t smoke but this is the perfect weird little use for them. time to haunt etsy again
Love this idea!
YES! Also was that an appetizer bowl that she keeps her jewellery in?
her house is perfect, this is exactly what I would call timeless interior design! beautiful!
Yay Paige🎉 I was so excited to see this, we needed another check out this f*cking home
ok, i want to be nan when i grow up! this is my dream home
Love you’r back with check out this F#$&ing home lmao…. Great space for sure LA has so many beautiful early 20th century architecture. Especially love the Spanish influence homes and apartment buildings. Make more friends and show us more! 😅
Paige I just realized you could totally act in a Wes Anderson film, your personality is truly unique
Love the colored doors with white walls! I also love tiled countertops in the kitchen! Her place was beautiful
This place is incredible, I want to move right in! As a collector of "little things," I really appreciate seeing how someone else puts their "things" on display with a more artful eye than I have. I love this series!
I am in love with everything about this home, wish I could achieve this level of cozy and eclectic.
Do you do any staging before the vid? All your friends have the best lighting in their homes. Like really chill and relaxing…Love Nan’s place! It definitely has many more pluses that outweigh the 1 second story bathroom. A def vibe!
This is why I love your channel, Paige! Great unique beautiful spaces and design ❤ to more to come 🥂
That is definitely one of the nicest homes I have seen.
This makes me miss LA. Spanish architecture is a delight -add utterly charming decor. Hats off to her.
This house feels like a home, more than any other place you’ve featured. Which can be hard to do in a rental (I’m assuming). Taking lots of inspiration 💚
Do you have any tips for finding places like this in LA? I totally understand if you don’t wanna share insider secrets :) but I’m moving to LA with my husband next year and I love the homes you’ve share of your friends!
Great little bungalow can certainly be found in Silverlake, Echo Park, etc (East LA area). They are everywhere, but this area comes to mind first. I'm originally from the Pasadena area, which has some too....
I'm so curious about this too, as an LA resident lol. Where are these spots!
we all have found them on hotpads!
@@lonenugget4301 I did see some cute bungalows in Pasadena last night. Reminds me a lot of Ravenswood/Lincolnsquare in Chicago. Thanks!
So gorgeous! It may not have a ton of natural light, but it's still so warm
Very cool house. Thanks Nan for letting us take a peek! One of my favorite things were all the little mini lamps around the house. It transformed it into such a cozy space. I am on the lookout for tiny lamps to do the same for my house :)
Same. Let the tiny lamp search begin!
That cozy living-room with that gorgeous fireplace!!!! And that green French door! I adore! Simply muah!
Truly a masterpiece- the architecture, decor, and styling. This is everything I dream of in a home.
That is why the mirror is over the sink..to see the TV behind them & it bounces light. Cute house with character
Who else thought it was a real wondow above the chopping are in kitchen?!
i can never get over the specific architecture of LA homes like these. the strip of coloured tile on the benchtops, builtin shelving, ugh.
Where is her green rug from in her living room!? Love it
Omg where is this (obv don’t tell us)?! It’s giving me South Pasadena vibes though.
This has to be my favorite home you've done, Paige! Props to Nana for being so loving and careful with what she collects. I'm in awe!
So nice to see homes where things are lived-in, it's a WIP, and you can hear the decisions of individuals not celebrities and their decorators. There's nothing wrong with celebrity homes, but it's nice to experience another genre of home tour.
I love this home wow, but I can’t get over how quietly expensive some things are. I looked up the photograph in their WIP room and it’s $1200 😢
Ever since I was little, everytime I would enter someones house I'd roam around looking at everything, and yes, I'd (maybe rudely) open cabinets including bathroom. I always enjoyed poking around, these videos remind me of that, but they also fill me with envy, hope you do more!
I did the same thing… I am really bad about opening drawers and medicine cabinets 😅
The wine rack in her kitchen looked really cool! Superb tour.
I'm originally from the LA area (San Marino), and really miss the character of the older homes there, especially the bungalows! The arches! The built-ins! So good. Thanks for sharing this home! Such a great place!
hello paige, i just want you to know i’ve been binge-watching your videos. they bring me a lot of joy, and it’s so fun to use your tips in my own college dorm to make it a little cozier
This fucking home!!!!!!! Rewatching to take notes now
Jesus christ that home is spectacular
How does a florist afford this type of housing? Am I in the wrong profession?
Man, her apartment is so cool. So much character!
I think it’s a house no?
I love this house and love your aesthetic that is curated yet not specifically polished, but neat. I wrote before that I loved your parents' house. I think it's lovely to incorporate things that have meaning. Also, to use items that would not normally use for other things. LOVE the matches in the teacup. I have a vintage teacup that I have in my kitchen filled with garlic cloves by my stove. Why not fill a teacup with cotton balls in your bathroom? The hallway chandelier is beautiful and the alcove in the guest room? LOVE it!! Thanks for sharing! Beautiful!
What a lovely, comfy home! My favorite tour so far!
So stunning! 😌 Would love to live there. Paige, it would be cool if for this series you did some where you interview the owner and they help give the tour. I know some people may be too camera shy, but would be cool to hear the stories of different pieces and why they chose the home.
Obsessed with the family room rug. Where is it from?!
This is the best one yet. So many thoughtful, beautiful details. I really, really love the vibe of this house. I'm experiencing house envy.
Nice Portugal shirt! Watching this from Portugal!!🇵🇹❤
i'm soooooo obsessed
This is what we all wish these AD tours were really like
A gas stove and two fireplaces is such a recipe for air pollution omg! The yard space is magical though
Please bring back viewing AD celebrity home tours!!! 😢
Love her place and of course being Portuguese I love you Portugal T-shirt.
This is my dream home. Their decor is so stunning and timeless while still being eclectic. I'm inspired to redo my entire home now!
This is so homey! True hygge! I feel like the furniture and decor really fit with the build!
Wow, are all LA apartments as stunning as Nana’s and yours? I am jealous!
this is by far the best one i think omg
Obsessed with this one, you can see so much love in the home!
Nan and Tom’s home is fu$&ing amazing! One of the most beautifully designed spaces I’ve seen.😍
What a quaint and cozy place!
What a fucking home... drooling
You gotta hate someone who has two fireplaces. Sheesh. 🙄 I just need one. 🤷♀️
Stop this house is a dreaaaaaaaaaaaaaammm! screaming
Her home is so cozy, cool - lots of inspiration there! Thanks so much for letting us see your home Nan!
It would be a hilarious running joke if you pretended you were showing your friends houses without their permission.
That was a lovely little home and tour I love That they have 2 fireplaces especially 1 in the bedroom and Having a little garden & Terrace which is so wonderful! I only wish you zoomed in on that table and chairs made of shell maybe you can feature them on your Instagram page or something? Thanks for another Effing house tour💖
absolutely my favourite COTFH home i've seen so far. i love glass blocks and have never seen them in a space that looked so modern. also love the tocuhes of wrought iron. so so tastefully decorated without tearing away the original character of the house itself
I love glass block too and I was surprised Paige did not mention its presence. It can be modern and retro, industrial or even craftsman/scandi depending on the block/brick you choose. I love reeded glass as well.
Love your videos and this home, thank you for sharing..... I've sailed with the Jubilee Sailing Trust! Nice T. that is all.
Love the house and am desperate to know more about the curtains in the guest bedroom. They look vintage? They would look amazing in my living room bay window!!
Love Nana” s Home💜 So many great details and it just looks so warm and cozy. Love the fireplaces , that huge front door and all the greenery.
That is a f***ing awesome home.
I’m trying to find a link for Darriius’s work. Not sure I spelled that right. Can someone help? Thanks. I’m obsessed with all your video’s. This home is perfect.
Enjoyed seeing Nan's house. I too am jealous of the fireplaces. So cozy. Reminds me of SF... 😢
Not mad at this place at ALL. A few of the furniture items I don’t like, but who cares? Overall, this place is really nice. Love the fireplaces, shelving space in the kitchen, vintage stove, huge glass door leading outside, the stairs, the hardwood floors, the French doors in the bedroom, the archways, the high ceilings, the guest bedroom (that niche!), and the patio area.
I’m of another generation and have a tendency to coordinate just a little more than most young people nowadays, but this place has a relaxed organic feel I really appreciate. 🥰👍🏾❤
I don't like knife blocks on the counter so I like the magnetic strip. That was a thing way back. We had one in our house growing up. Our house was a turn of the century Victorian. I love old houses! You two have great places! I was hoping to find something sililar in Boise but I think for the most part the oldest has been 70"s. lol
It’s so funny that Nan just learned the word ‘outro’ which everyone (primarily African Americans) was using in the 90s.
This place is sooo stunning!! but I do wish you'd show more close-ups of things... I would have really loved to see that shell table better!
What would you say yours and Nana's style is?
Just discovered this section of your channel and I LOVEEE!!!
Beautiful, beautiful home! Although I must say, as an Angelino, glass framed artwork over the beds gives me so much anxiety lol
Gotta love a California Mediterranean bungalow! I’m jealous
Paige Wassel, I’m 36 and a flight attendant. I’m always on the go and all I own fits into one small bedroom that I rent in California. 99% of my furniture is sentimental value and I’m not willing to give it up. I want you to give me advice on what I can do to help my room feel cleaner and happier and more cohesive. How can I connect with you?
I LOVE THIS FUCKING HOME
A @wasthestore collab with Nana would be AMAZING!!
This is everything. I think I hate her.
Well now I feel like I have completely failed at life!! 😂
Lovely home but majority of the kitchens I see on UA-cam looks really beautiful but not very practical.. especially if you are going to use that kitchen.. for someone like me who loves to cook and cook every single day. It's really not practical to have a painting above the stove or a TV next to it and little show pieces anywhere near the stove because it'll all get oily and greasy in no time and then all the scrubbing and cleaning that we have to do afterwards is insane amount of work so I think these cool kitchen ideas are for people who don't cook that often.
C'est magnifique ! J'adore absolument tout.
Stunning home and beautifully decorated! What is the name of the flowers in their bathroom? I really like them
What a beautifully articulated creative home. Her bathroom is very similar to yours: love the mail wall arrangement.
That's my quilt style. I don't like the modern messy solid bed cover thingies.
Why wear outdoor shoes in someone else's beautiful home that they probably just cleaned 😢
my favourite youtuber and my favourite series!
I have extreme eyebrow envy, Paige. Yours are fabulous.
You call them matches but I call them matchsticks, is It the same? Can It Be used either way?
Yup. Same, same but different - use interchangably.
@@lianebourke2113 Thanks Liane
Please ask Nan about where she sourced her beautiful green rug downstairs. Perfect color.
I need to know!
I love it
