I genuinely loved that all of you guys were together and the feeling you got out of it. It truly brought me back to beautiful times of my childhood. You see, I have a very large family (aunts and uncles) and I felt exactly the same when they came over with my cousins. I personally would fall asleep listening to parents, aunts and uncles talk. Not so much eave dropping and listening in to their conversation, but the calmness it would bring to me was almost therapeutic. I vote for more of these get togethers!
We tell our students(adults) that DREAMS are GOALS with INTENTIONS behind them.
I have them make a DREAM BOARD and map out 5 years and small goals of milestones they will meet in order to reach their dream. This gives a visual representation, which means they're 85 to 95% more likely to reach their dream.
I always tell them to put things out in the universe and manifest what they want, but when they have pictures and colors in front of them, it fires off that good part of your brain that registers your dopamine. So every time you see it you get really excited.
I'm so glad breastfeeding is going better!
It's so rough on new moms when it hurts so much and you're worried you're doing it wrong. PSA - every nursing mom in my life has told me that it hurts at first EVEN when nothing is wrong so I'm so glad you stuck it out and can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

As someone who is pregnant I LOVE the idea of a dress line. It has been discouraging in this phase of life seeing maternity and postpartum clothes (especially breastfeeding friendly). They either feel “blah” or cost a fortune. So I think there is a huge demand out there for this. Also, hearing you discuss about your body was so encouraging as someone who has always been on a weight loss journey and now trying to wrap my mind around it is good to be gaining some weight for my baby to be healthy.
Your love for him will just keep growing and growing. Sometimes you will swear you love your child so much that your heart hurts.

Yes, having friends in life that are there to support you in deed not in word is a must. If someone calls you a friend when you help them but disappears when you need support of any kind, those are individuals that will only suck the life out of you. How do you build such an amazing community? All my close friends live in different places now, and so I wonder how you foster such deep connections / make other such amazing like-minded friends?
Having a Covid baby, I'll say I think it's so important to have a community of people to expose your baby to. It was very challenging to bring our son into the community post Covid - as simple as a hiring a baby sitter, and daycare, it was so hard! If you have a community of people you love and trust - be with them!

I would love to see a dress line for mums and expectant mums. I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant and I'm finding it so difficult to find nice dresses and clothes that are my style and that I'd feel confident in, especially with how much my body is changing!

Raya, It's been many years since I had my babies (I'm a Grandma now of two). It took 9 months to put the weight on to grow your beautiful son, give yourself at least 9 months to get back to where you feel healthy again. I think the (affordable) dress line is a great idea. I would have loved them back in the day and I know my daughters in-loves would now.

I was wondering how it’s been for you Raya, recovering from a c-section? I just had my son 3 weeks ago and had to have a emergency c-section after planning a natural home birth for months. Recovery has been tough and i feel like no one talks about how hard it is to recover from a mayor abdominal surgery and having to take care of a newborn!
