Hey guys! I wanted to unbox some more affordable advent calendars today and I really liked that Target had a few options! However, I don't like that they seem to be overstating the value of these calendars. I didn't expect a huge value for a $20 calendar but I did expect the value Target promised! The second beauty advent calendar was much closer to the promised value but the first one...I dont know what happened!! Let me know what you guys think! Love ya💖 P.S. So sorry for some sounds issues throughout the video, I was filming some things on my phone and I think the microphone is messing up!

Maybe wash your dog’s stuff and see if you have mould in the room. When my husband and I we’re staying at a friends house. We both wasn’t feeling well when we was there. He had dogs and mould going on the windows. So any mould we cleaned off.

Because of watching your videos for a while I bought the Revolution advent calendar for $81.00 Australian dollar for the first time in my life, (even it is much cheaper at this moment.) I am 57 but did not use make up for a long time now, this is a real treat I guess if I am looking at what you are opening in most boxes and the values you get out of them. They shout be ashamed to give samples in these advent caledars as you said we love some full sizes and honest products while opening in a holiday mood... if we wanted samples we would ask or order them in another way right? Keep up the great work love watching you go with your open and honest attituded, say hi to the dogs they look so cute have a lovely day or night we are still in morning time here down under : )

Hydrocolloid patch savings tip: Dollar Tree has them, $1.25 for a 24 pack, and they work just as good as the expensive ones.
The main thing is to NOT buy those hydrocolloid foot patches, because even though they're the same stuff those have an adhesive on meant to stay on your feet while you're walking. It's way too strong for your face.
(Just adding because I've seen people sometimes recommend using those foot patches as the cheap option.)
I swear dollar tree gonna be the saving grace during this insane inflation!
TJ Maxx sells them too, relatively cheaper than target but not $1, but you get more in the package
I don't think they as good as the expensive ones but that's just me.

The cerave ointment, vichy mineral 89, liquid IV, vitacollagen, palmers deep conditioning packet, and tanology sample were ALL things sent to me in bulk as a beauty consultant to give away for free. I had so many of those things that I would put multiples into people's bags just to get rid of them. Target is so shady for putting those in an advent calendar.
Tater just loves Ren so much! And Ren is like..."Mom, make him leave me alone!"
As someone who worked for Target, these are indeed the samples they gave out to guests. When we got too many they would give them to us for free. I have still have some of these, they would pass them out in handfuls…
I’m disappointed in these. Target is a big enough company to have eyes on promises like this, to prevent this very thing from happening. I totally agree with your rant 100%

Seriously though, swelling of the tongue is not something to take lightly. Could be a sign of an allergy and they can suddenly become much more severe
I worked for target for 9 years. Making promises they have no intention of keeping is sort of their brand, with everyone dealing with them.🙄

If you saw the one Mia Maples opened....she actually lost like $2000+ dollars by buying the calendar 😫Like if she bought the products outside the calendar it would have cost $2000+ less 😭
The Dior one? I don't think she even bought it on the main site, because the price of the Dior calendar on the main site is $750 USD (which i think is a little under $1000 CAD). She was absolutely *bonkers* for that.

She got the Uber luxury calendar for $5400. It could only be delivered by a "white glove" delivery service. I would assume , that would add quite a bit to the cost of the calendar. Dior even called her to verify she purchased the calendar and it was packaged in a huge wood crate.
Its getting egregious at this point from some of these companies, they seem to take for granted that they can throw anything in a numbered box and call it an advent calendar 😔 very disappointing. At least we had hijinks from the background buddies to keep our spirits up 😊

You know, if that were the case at least it would justify the expense… sadly it’s just mineral water which is at some point in its cycle has been ‘filtered through volcanic rock’ and MAYBE picked up some SLIGHTLY different minerals 🙄

I don't know if they still do, but Target used to do free beauty sample Saturdays. All those look like samples that they would have handed out.
The tanning drops rubbed me the wrong way. Imagine if a darker-skinned person bought that calendar, and they were excited to open day 12 only to find tanning drops?! damn.
That's what I came to say! If I'd gotten this calendar, I'd have been so disappointed!

I worked at Target for years in the beauty department... these are free samples we would get sent every month to hand out in our department and give away for trials.... just a fun FYI to avoid these calendars even more.
I LOVE those little pots of cerave healing ointment ! I have a giant tub of it and I use it to refill my tiny pot and carry it around in my purse. That stuff is good for everything ! Chapped lips, dry cuticles, dry hands, dry feet, I use it on everything lol

That’s so infuriating, Target! Considering they list out what is in these on their site, if they just got rid of the promised retail value, then they’d be being truthful and no one would have anything to get upset by, but if they’re going to put a $60+ retail value on something… it better damn sure have a $60+ value! 💜
I completely agree with the frustration of them not providing the amout of value promised/advertised. But it seems most all the calendars you've unboxed havn't lived up to the value promised :-( not just target sadly.

I think I'm allergic to my fake Christmas tree. Every year when I put it up my asthma goes NUTS! I was just thinking about that because you said you're allergic to something in that room. I think it's partly because they hold dust but I really believe it's something in the materials.

Awww! I think Tater absolutely wanted to just lay with his brother! So adorable! We lost our Boston terrier last year, she was 16 years old. Ren reminds me of her so much. Always enjoy seeing the boys!

The eos eggs were surprisingly really good but they have these other ones in a more traditional tube (my bf thinks it looks like a vape) and they’re so hydrating. I bite my lips a lot and that lip balm has helped more than anything else I’ve tried in recent years.
Seriously shame on the brands that put irritants in their balms so you have to buy more 🙄 just make a good product and I’ll keep buying it
I've been getting the eos lip balms in the more traditional tubes for a couple of years now. What's really great, besides the fact that they are wonderful, is you can get a large package of them (10 or 12, I think) for about $12 at Cosco.

It may not be the best value, but for $20, it's been fun for my 19 year old to open each day, and mostly stuff she will actually use. (Yes, she started December 1st because she couldn't wait lol). So.. overall, worth it just for the cuteness factor for us 😊 She got the pink one.
The pink one is pretty good! The value was near what they advertised and there were some larger size items and some nice products! I’m so glad she is enjoying it!
for the bendy nails I recommend Mavala Scientifique Nail Hardener
The second is actually a box I’d use most of them and that’s saying something. I use that batiste dry shampoo, nyx setting spray and the three minute miracle products already. I’m also a user of the brands eos and elf even if I don’t use those specific products and I’m fine with kombucha and the brow pencil could probably match. They’re still not worth it, or even just “good” but it is a little refreshing to see products I recognize and not just wildly overinflated bougie ones inflating the apparent “worth” of these boxes.

I got my first non chocolate advent calendar, the Trader Joes bath and body advent calendar. I have Cyclic vomiting syndrome (a neurological condition that causes really severe vomiting episodes along with neurological symptoms, but for some reason a hot bath helps🤷♀️) so when i saw what was in it i got so excited😂 give me a bath bomb and some hand cream and im happy as can be😂 it starts tomorrow so im so excited to start opening it!

In May I rescued a five week old kitten and he is obsessed with my 13 year old cat. Constantly wants to cuddle with him. Tater and Wren remind me of them.
If it makes you feel any better, the Welly brand is amazing. They're my favorite bandages, they will stay on you no matter what.

12:01 oooof, I felt that. I have obnoxiously thin nails too, the feeling of them bending back is the wooorst. Gel polish or keeping them too short to use are the only solutions I’ve found.
I had seen these two calendars opened already and I almost didn’t watch this video but I’m so glad I did because the pups made it so cute!
Dr. Teal's is pretty awesome. I am allergic to almost all bath bombs, bath salts (the only place Calgon ever took me to was running for a Benadryl) but I can soak in Dr. Teal's.
