Yep, red alert = ignore schedules and biological needs, work even if it kills you. That is why your dupe didn't breathe. It's very different from yellow alert that changes priorities.
I was so confused by this. I've played this game quite a bit, but I think I've never really used red alert before, only yellow alert on specific tasks.
Normal dupes still breathe during a red alert though, or the whole base would drop dead in minutes. Seems like a bug to me, where the code for a bionic to breathe isn't following the same rules.
It looked like the bionic cupes have a priority setting. I wonder if that helps with prioritizing there battery delivery? Good video as always. More please.
If you didn't figure it by now sour gas came from the fossil spot, it's part of that poi that has thousands of degrees of heat in it, the liquid fell while they were digging /building the insulated tile into it and burst out while the tile was being built
you can set priorities on bionic dupes. standard is 5 like every other job so if there are other jobs around they kind of ignore bionic dupes with battery issues. so I set them all at 6 just to be safe.
The hot fossil can show up in biomes other than the magma biome and that gets really weird if you're playing on Ceres or the Frostly Planet pack w/that storyline trait. I've had it show up in the oil biome more than once.
nice save towards the end. refusing to breathe seems a bit weird even with red alert. maybe setup a spom next to start burning hydrogen, to add to the huge power demands
For what to do about the pressure in the oil refinery's room, since you have it liquid locked anyway, dig upward to the room for the natural gas geyser and let the gas get into that system.
Your Eco Power Bank will disappear over time. I try to keep 100 charged batteries in reserve. A massage table will be your best friend when you start digging in the water
I think the bionic dupes need a little tweaking. I've seen them when filling their oxygen. They go to polluted air and get yucky lungs even if there is oxygen just a little bit away. Also seen them start to fill then stop half way and then run somewhere else to fill the rest wasting time.
I am curious we know liquid locks are bad for the bionics if it’s water or pw but since they use oil as a lubricant have you tried using it for a liquid lock?
Did anyone notice if there were more or fewer ads in this episode? Testing things out with UA-cam.
All that technology and they use a simple cork to hold in their used fluids. 😂😂😂😂

I worked him to death :(

@@GrindThisGame😢😂
@@zncon seems so.
Don't worry about the timelapses. Speaking for myself at least, I love longer videos. Happy for the banter and fastidious gameplay!
To get the boops to rescue a friend faster set the priority of that boop to yellow alert. They died because you didn't turn off red alert.
Is boops the new name for bionic dupes :)
@GrindThisGame yes isn't it the best name‽

Merry Christmas!

Yup. My bad!

This is the kind of chaotic nail-biting fun I signed up for.
R.I.P Construct.....even though Oxygen WAS Included.

@00:45 The need for power definitely escalated in my playthrough around cycle 100 too!
It's nuts!

Good plan. I need to get the other games out first.
Oh boy, release day! I wonder if they will add any achievements? Oh don't forget the blueprints, we get 6 a week now.
Thanks for the reminder

I might just put my diggers in suits :)
add lights to the bathroom to speed up their "business" there
ok thanks I will
43:45 There is no crisis so urgent that it can pull dupes away from the allure of the hamster wheels.
Sour gas probably came from the hot rocks you mined to seal off the abyssalite break.
yeah

The refilling logic needs some rework.
The sour gas came from the hot fossil. of the four fossils one is always hot and it boils the oil into sour gas.
Yup

Yeah oil should be safe!
this game mode need another priority like maintenance for dupes
Omg the OCD and ADD is strong in this episode…
PICNIC: Problem in chair not in computer😂
No bugs gtg
Likely true :)
Nice save. That could have easily snowballed.
I thought it was about to spiral bad
You need to unequip the suit to breath.
They have internal tanks.
