- Enter the studio of the Newton Brothers as they break down the title sequence of 'X-Men 97'.They explain how they modernized the track while always staying true to what original fans loved.
Variety Artisans presented by HBO.
They understood the assignment, and aced it.
This is so epic, it’s a perfect successor to the original.
X men 97 was incredible
I can't think of anything except "wow that screen is so big"
It takes a big screen to make it sound that good.
Wall Of Sound, now in visual form!
Shout out to Ron Wasserman who did the Original Theme & the Brothers in honoring the original
this theme song awakens something in me
Daredevil: Born Again poster at 0:22 so they're composing it HELL YEAH
you was spot on with that holy shit
X-97 was made great. The show brings back all the action, great stories, characters and THAT iconic music. The theme song was revitalized.
These guys sure gets the burdon of Nostalgia!
The bell! 😂 I'm one of it's fan boys 😅feel free to bring it up in the mix 😜
Totally agree the bell should’ve been louder in the final mix. But still an awesome job
The fly buzzing around on his jacket 😂
Great video - the new series is awesome and the music is such a crucial part of it!!!
Love hearing the isolated tracks. It sounds so good!
The Newton Brothers are one of my favorite composer crews!
The theme song is timeless, the music is another character within this amazing series. Love the soundtrack. But this theme, you cannot help but get hyped from start to finish. Including the bell
Love this!!
pls release the opera version of the theme u used when asteriod m was about to crash!!!!
this is one the best behind the scene composer breakdowns, i love how utterly enthusiastic the bros were
I agree. It was great seeing their enthusiasm too.
Its a good series actually, very very well executed
An Iconic theme song forever etched into my soul!
Great job but the tubular 🔔 is too low in the mix
They didn't get it. That sound is the war gong, the explosive shock wave of the song screaming out.
I got a fever, and the only prescription is more Orch Chimes!
there is soo much detail, this is epic
The music slaps hard
Nice one variety. Love this!!!
Loved the insight, respect for the original and work that went into this and making it up to the date, yet faithful. Like many others, feel the bell was way to low in the mix. It's one of the highlights of that classic intro, that fans look firaward to and enjoy. Superb effort otherwise. The live orchetra and having an actual elctric guitar on there are terrific.
👏👏👏 legendary song legendary musicians legendary interview!!!
Great work guys and a very informative interview 👌🏿
I just wish they made that iconic church bell hit a little more prominent. I feel like it gets lost in the mix.
I'm not really sure why they even updated the intro song at all. Go listen to it again. It sounds much richer than this one.
Original is where it’s at!
Can we get a longer version of this? This barely scratched the surface
Psylocke is mine favorite marvel superheroes & X-Men Character ever in my heart💙
Glad they isolated the sounds for us! Now I can sample them for a beat 😆💪🎧 fan made of course
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. - Eleanor Roosevelt
they're using the jd800 hell yeah
This got me back into superhero stuff
They didn't bring Cables theme or the classic Bishop harmonica they failed.
It was my favourite show ❤
@2:58 "And then comes this piano that was famous in the 80's".... but was released in 1991.
Ehh close enough
This was our theme song of the 90s when were kids.
great interview!
Love you yaar
I like this narration video
Thanks for sharing
This definitely took me back! Also, if ya'll don't get Konami or Capcom together and score the next X-Men video game.
Could have make another audio track with the marvel logo intro and drum beats for the soundtrack.. that was a banger.. ❤
It sounds great BUT the lead synth is just slightly less distorted. Doesn't sound as rocking but it's still good. Love the new intro to the theme with the drums
I missed the outro theme from the original series. I feel like there are string part missing in the triplet section of the main theme too
Taylor Stewart: The fear of them saying "Why did you ruin this character? And why is this ruined?"
Me: God, I hate "woke" critics.
is that a tv or a really huge monitor
Cmon hair scrunchie! :p
Dont forget the beaded necklace 💀
The Newton Brothers have been making such amazing music, we are lucky to get the opportunity to appreciate it. Go listen to The Haunting of Hill House & The Haunting of Bly Manor soundtracks and tell me i'm wrong.
I’d love to know what kind of guitar that was. It sounds like a Charvel
Justice for Whitney Houston and Babyface. 😂
What do you mean their last name isn't Newton???
How did everyone miss the "Daredevil Born Again logos" at 0:22
They're composing for that, I have high hopes
That’s crazy if this is how they officially leak them composing it
That’s crazy if this is how they officially leak them composing it
@@MrFanSoundtracks Yeah lol
Was hoping somebody noticed that too. I really loved John Paesano's work, I hope he was at least asked again
@@5eany. Yeah probably, but he was scoring the new planet of the apes film, so I guess he's got the upcoming sequels to do to now as well.
They will reference alot of his themes I hope.
Full orchestra version
I’m you baby tonight
It's sad though, that Ron Wassermann isn't even in the credits though. 😢 Done him dirty. 😡
I'm just glad they didn't hire Skillet for this! 🤪
#WhitneyHouston
el theme original esta mejor
this "song" was and always will by a cheap rip-off of hermeto paschoal, but all of you keep omiting that information right? i guess plagiarizing is easier than creating something
Love this!
