I Loved the car loved the song loved the video btw if u other viewers wanna know the song is called unity by thefatrat
Wow, awesome! You really inspired me. I actually wanted to build something similar soon. Thanks for the extra help and ideas!
+Master Studios! That's great to hear! Good luck with your build☺
I totally agree
Yeah, next great moc. And beautiful Swedish rocks👍🏻
+Łukasz Rugała 👍👍😀 haha thank you😂
I LOVE UNITY DGUSTAFSSON13
+Wanted alis.io, minecraft, and more! Good👍😅
This is awesome, I can see myself modding it with EV3.
Very good ideas, thank you
Pretty cool! This gave me an Idea for the R/C Ninjago Land Bounty show accurate version I'm building! Obviously it's gonna be much bigger than the set.
note: if you use buwizz or the power functions IR receiver you will not need the pf switch due to the fact that there is the ability on both the buwizz app and the pf IR controller to revers the direction that any motor turns. I hope this helps
Yes, but the both motors for driving are together so if u switch them u have the same problem.
Thanks man, im going to break down my 9398 and build this. Keep up the good work👍
while this design does mean that most terrains are traversable, it's always nice to have some suspension for the sake of safety
In fact it is so cool, that I've ordered extra parts to my "Xerion" set.
Going to reproduce this chassis soon :-D
+Николай Кольченко Fantastic! Great to hear😀
Dgustafsson13 it appeared that with a little modification (a little brutal one, but still works) it is possible to live without polarity switch and use L and XL motors to drive both "halves" of chassis :-) Not sure how to share a photo here, thus going to upload as vid ua-cam.com/video/jNF800QI2vs/v-deo.html
Again, thanks for such a nice chassis
You always make amazing things
+A_Beluga Whale Thank you!😀
Wow great lego set love it it's amazing
+Shadowstorm Thank you very much!😀
Dgustafsson13 your welcome
Shadowstorm ‘bravo
It's not a set it's a MOC
Great job!
Lovely editing and creation! (As usual) I like the idea of the pendulum suspension rather than having independent suspension on all axles, (I suppose it takes up a lot less space too) also, thanks for the idea of the switch to change the direction of the motors! I have had this problem for a while, and for some reason I have never thought of using a switch. Great job, and keep up the good work! 😋👍👍
+All About Lego Thank you very much! I choose the pendulum suspension mainly because of the simplicity actually. I see no reason to overcomplicate things here in life🤗 Oh no problem☺ sometimes the solutions are right in front of us, yet still we can't see them😉 Thanks again!😃
Dgustafsson13 there definitely is no need to over complicate things! 😉👍
For reference, rock crawlers are supposed to have locked diffs, not open diffs. This improves traction when climbing over very difficult terrain.
And that's why this have lockable diffs, so they're locked when you need to achieve maximum traction, and open when you don't need it
This can become a series of off roads
Cool! I've noted that your PF switch is different from mine, mine has an inverting switch :)
+Joseph's Custom Lego Creations Thanks! I know, all my other switches has that black inverting thing too, however this came straight out of a brand new PF accessory set, but I don't know if it's a new design or if it's a faulty product🤔
@@dgustafsson13 i think its new when i bought my motor kits on amazon for the past few years and it had black switch, the newest set i got came without it
Dude you are a genius
+Brian KongNam Thank you!🙏
Wow. Great build
+QBA 706 Thanks!
Dude, i like your Music, your Builds, and your techniques
+1 sub
+Kittyboy 729 Thank you very much! Really nice to hear that! 🙏
Hello! I love your videos and love your creations and and they always cure my boredom!
+DragonZone XX Hi! Thank you very much! That's wonderful to hear😀
Great creation! Im definitly going to try to use that in a future moc!🙌👌👍
+Kacper's Workshop Thank you! That's great to hear😀👍
This is genius
+MAGOOBRICKS Thank you🙏
1: you can replace the Sbrick and the switch with two IR receivers and two remotes, 2 I think I've heard this music before somewhere, thanks for using
+Baba's Custom Lego Creations True, but two recievers take up more space than one reciever with a switch. That's definitely possible☺
Dgustafsson13 "that's definitely" ??
Amazing work!
+Gamerbro624 Thank you!
Very impressive I stole on your channel so I’m seeing this for the first time. Give me United States they call it a skid steer
awesome
I made a similar crawler but I used 2x xl motor with the front and back having the same drivetrain and I made 4 and 6 wheel variants
+Mr hedgehog man Great!
Amazing ideas I have built a custom 4wd car and it has diff locks and I was looking for a steering idea and I found an idea in ur vid thx
OK thx my brother is a "lego RC car addict". will email him this.
Awesome!
+TmoneyTechnic Thanks!
I recommend power puller wheels though but still it looks killer😀
+Ayden Knight's garage Sadly though in don't have any😐 but thank you😀
Yep I thought that would have been a cool idea to put on that contraption
Dgustafsson13 Did you try searching in Bricklink?
Hothrik Arya Of course, I've checked them out several times on Bricklink, but I haven't proceeded to actually purchasing them just yet☺
Cool!
+Diamond Sword Thanks!
Love it!!!!
Thats a smart Chassis you madw
+Gavin Winger Thank you!😀
Wow! Really cool!
+EL Valenin Thank you!
I subscribed, btw. I think you are really smart and I learned a lot from you. Thanks, Dgustafsson13!
Great music, too! This is an overall perfect video for me. There aren't a lot of videos like this.
+Master Studios! Thank you very much for that!🙏
+Master Studios! Really nice to hear that! 😀
This is absolutely fantastic!! great job on building it !! "-"
+Jaymz Pimentel Thank you very much!
U R INSANE ! KEEP IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!
+Deadly Silent Thank you for the support!
Hope ing to make a video for it soon
TheFatRat has a website for his music now.
You can get different versions of the songs, including the loopable version(I think)
Just watch his video about it on his channel.
+HojozVideos Thanks for the tip🙂
Cool model! :D
+messing with Lego Thank you!😀
Replace the wheels with some conveyors with rubber attachments if you can you might make something like the extreme adventure official set
I cannot watch your videos because I get too jealous of your skill
+Roger Hu Haha Thank you😅
Coooooooooooooooooool
Once in a while i check this channel and i see you're using the ldd for me it's weird to see software suggested by a viewer being used :-)
+Michael Snip What do you mean? I've used LDD for ages
Awesome build! Also, to make both axles turn in the same direction without the switch, can't you just rotate the differential on one side? Could you perhaps mirror one side's drivetrain to fix that problem?
+Electric Technic Thank you! That's absolutely possible, however I felt like it was a whole lot easier to add a switch instead of rebuilding half of the model☺
Can you make a separate video for the articulated joint thingy in the middle plz
nice build, you don't need a switch if you use the Sbrick : )
+Green Gecko Lego Technic Creations Thanks! Do you mean I can reverse only one of two motors connected to the same port on the sbrick?🤔
yes i did it on my Bigfoot truck, just connect one side to the same port and the other to another and reverse one side. you do need two channels for the drive...
+Green Gecko Lego Technic Creations Ahh that's clever, thank for the tip☺
This looks like a great setup. Thanks for the instructions.
wow the basis for a heavy loader :P :)
+caosoftware 👍👍😌😀
Such a monster one, Really enjoying how easily it crawls! where are those wheels from? :)
+Alex Paschoaletto Great to hear! They're from set 42054, however they're now avaible in set 42070 as well☺
1:44 just invert the differential on one side
Omg u saved my day. Love from Germany.
Thanks man I made it it's great new sub! Followed you on insta
+Bombani with lego Thank you very much for that😀
well it looks really nice. can u make some body for it from technic
+lego master pl Thank you! I don't know, I might do that if I get some extra time to spare
You should do co-ops with sariels Lego technic
+Sneh Mistry 👍👍😅
I have build this. So nice❤
+Emil Hägglund Thank you!
It's great! I plan to make a bodywork.
I've built up following your instructions but one question... which controller do you prefer if I use the standard IR receiver? 8879 or 8885?
That's wonderful! I recommend the 8885 controller, but the other one gives you more control of the speed on the other hand. Depends on what you prefer really🙂
wow thats awesome :)
+Kinesis Films Thank you!🙂
I've been working on a suspension just like that but it has more ground clearance like 7 inches of ground clearance
+Kids Vids Cool to hear!👍😌
Awesome. Just asking, would be ''better'' it has 2 XL motors. Long term?
Would be better having more power or speed?
+tomaž miklavčič Thanks! If you're planning to put on a heavy bodywork, two XL motors would probably be better, but as it is now, two large motors works perfectly actually
Thank you. Just asking. Do you ever go on a ''Off road contest''?
Where i posed MOCs, they organized a race (8 people, nothing more).
And there are small LEGO Technic sets for prize for the winners. If you want, here are pictures:
www.kocke.si/kockefest/kt13.php
Oh, and it's in Sloven, is you want to traslate.
Bye
wow this is the best offroad instructions & and model ive ever seen, good work!! i need to build this. What Lego sets do u used for this or can u send me the parts list with model numbers? thank you very much :)
ok found the parts list :D im gona send you a pic when i finish building it ^^
+L1f3 74k3r Great!😎
so i built it now, do u have a mail address to send some pictures, i also have one more question about the dif lock :D
+L1f3 74k3r My email is dgustafsson13@gmail.com, include your question there as well. I'm so excited to see this😄
did u get my mail?
heel coole
+Nele Vrancken Thank you😀
Its so funny how two separate people think so much alike. I have the same excact model and I didnt copy it. Just no all the fancy gearing I prefer direct drives.
That's kind of cool I think
Najs!
Is your pf switch an older version?
+Joran Prins Took it straight out of a brand new PF accessory set, so I don't know if it's a faulty product, or a new design🤔
Can you do one for the Lego mindstorms ev3 too?
I love you
+Ceasar Films Haha Thank you, I guess?
Hello !!! nice vehicle, I see you use the LDD to make your models, I'm also doing a vehicle on LDD, I notice that you have parts that I'm not on my LDD, for example: the electric cylinder, electric motors and others ... how did you do to have them; did you make an update or others?
thank you in advance
+Raybronx Design Hi! Thank you🙂 Yes I'm using the latest update, so if you aren't, start with upgrading to the latest version. And secondly, try using the extended mode in LDD. This mode includes more parts I think🙂
Thank you for your answer . where are you going to put the extended mode of the LDD?
and where do you order the parts?
thank you in advance
+Raybronx Design The extended mode can be selected to use in the first menu that pops up when you start the program. Bricklink.com or Lego.com🙂
thank you for your help !!
Dgustaffson how does it feel to get 5000 subscribes in a month?
+Jiri niemela I don't know, haven't got 5000 subscribers in a month
Is a differential good for off road? I heard some guys saying it's good, others that's not. What do you say?
+LevelTechnic A differential is not good when going through rough terrain where all wheels might not always be in contact with the ground. However when all wheels are in contact with the ground at all time (when not offroading), a differential is to prefer
OK?
Then why does your off roader has them?
+LevelTechnic Because trying to make a sharp turn on solid ground without differential is not only hard, it's also wearing down the tyres quickly. Therefore I've got differentials that are lockable, meaning they function as regular differentials on solid ground, and can be locked to function like solid axles when offroading
Your the besteht
hey very nice work ! can you help me to build a Tumbler? sure in Black :/
REPLY
+Tabuk LP Thanks! Sorry, I can't. I've got my own projects to work on
Could it be possible to replace the l-motors with m-motors
+Bryolo Swag You could, but I wouldn't recommend it since they're weaker than L-motors. And you really don't want anything weaker than L-motors for this kind of vehicle🙂
I have seen much bigger articulation in other MOCs at same overall size, this is more of an offroader. Also the ground clearance is quite lame for such tire size
and l motors for such a huge chassis... could easily use 4 XL motors
+Xewyz2001 4 XLs would just weigh it down even more, and be lamely slow too.
@Dgustafsson13 ever heard of Fox 8x8? never underestimate the power of XL's :P
+Xewyz2001 I don't underestimate the power☺ buy they're lamely slow going when geared down even the slightest👍
@Dgustafsson13 oops, messed up 😅 however, maybe a 1:1 could give the best of both worlds? I think Zblj used in his Lynx 2Xl motors geared down 1:1667 (12t to a 20t) and had a decent speed. Maybe an idea for a future crawler :)
oh... no suspension
Wtf! On your Website is only The Volvo Listed! Nothing else....
Pls Fix
You find these instructions under the menu "downloads". Not "Store"
Dgustafsson13 Oh, I didn't saw this... Thanks for the quick reply!
