I am selected in BOI as a Clerk and in SBI JA from my homestate Bihar. I am choosing SBI JA due to some reasons:
1. My posting zone is Siwan in BOI which is about 580 kms away from my hometown. Not only the distance,even there is lack of connectivity options. So I am hoping in SBI, I get at least a better posting than that of BOI.
2. Brand Identity - When I said I am selected in BOI, many of my friends and relatives questioned that whether it is sarkari or private, while in SBI , they immediately congratulated me . That speaks for itself.
3. Fear of privatisation also in the long run.
4. Better perks and allowances.
Despite listing 4 reasons, my obvious reason is the 1st one.

@@supriyasingh7470 I am already in the reserve list of IBPS PO this year. I have selected 3 banks, PNB, BOB and Canara. If I get any one of these I will think of joining PO leaving SBI JA. Otherwise I will stay with SBI and prepare for Insurance AO exams and RBI.
Some positives of SBI (i derived mostly from sir's video only)
1. Higher salary and facilities
2. Home state posting (Local head office) like Chennai (TN) until scale 4 or 5 ie chief manager or AGM
3. Largest bank (loyal customers to SBI) - Brand identity
Also in some banks through ibps, technical degree holders have advantage, they are eligible for promotion after one year of service. Like in Bank of Baroda. That's why I'm choosing BOB clerk over SBI JA. I joined BOB as clerk in june this year.
I already joined BOM as clerk and i got posted about 30kms away from my hometown. The work culture in my branch is really good and I've already become accustomed to it. Got selected in SBI JA as well this year. The thing is, my main aim in life is to get into RBI, this year as well i cleared the rbi mains,lpt,dv but didn't get shortlisted in the final merit list which i missed by 2-3 marks. Should i move to Sbi this year or should I just continue in BOM and keep preparing for RBI sir????

@@jeremyhalam1823 Had I been in your place, I'd have taken up SBI JA. There is no certainty that you'd get selected next time provided any unavoidable circumstances you may face. Moreover, the chances of SBI getting privatized are meagre, whereas BOM can easily get privatized. The rest is up to you to decide. I too have cleared SBI JA but from a different state. I'm taking up this job and I will strive to clear the PO this year.

@@vishaldubey98765 There is no cut off date mentioned in the detailed notification. So there shouldn't be any problem regarding the date. Just get one ASAP.
Sir i have seen clerks of 55 years taking salary 1.25 lakhs how is it possible they pay me just 47,850 in INDIAN bank I just joined last month is it possible? head clerk salary if my branch is more than the branch manager of my branch or he is bluffing? he told me not to opt for PO he teach me if you want work life balance maintain yourself as clerk
You will also get higher salary in future, every year salary increases due to annual increment. Naturally a person with 30 years of service may be earning 1.25 lac per month . You are new getting 47500. This happens with everyone
