Kolab Pailin is considered one of the three classic novels of modern Khmer literature. It portrays the struggles of the Cambodian people during the French colonial administration. The story centers on an orphan boy named "Chav Chet" whose late father upon death sent him to Cambodia’s northern province of Pailin to work at a diamond mine where he shows kindness and above all loyalty towards his employer.

16:36 i was trying not to cry for this part but I really couldn’t hold my tears. It was so deeply touching!!!No matter how many times I watch, I’ll cry lol 😭 Anyway I reallyyyyyy love this animated version and the plots was fantastic since the first till the end. Shout out to the creators, you are killing itttttt!!! I look forward to watching more short animated films that you brought it up from our Khmer novels of khmer literature. ❤
