Nicolas Dupuis, known professionally as Anomalie, is a Canadian multi-instrumentalist, classically trained keyboardist and producer from Montreal, Quebec. Nicolas Dupais was born on October 10, 1993 in Montreal, QC. He began studying classical and jazz piano performance at a young age. He also became the first person to be awarded the Yannick Nézet-Séguin (Philadelphia Orchestra, Orchestre Métropolitain, Rotterdams Philharmonisch) excellence grant in 2012. Shortly after, Dupais began producing a combination of classical music, jazz, hip hop and funk under the moniker Anomalie.
This is one of Anomalie first pieces to gain recognition. Love VELOURS along with Anomalie's work in general especially how he combines elements of classic jazz, soul with modern production and synthesis.

Cheers Yam appreciate that, I heard it a few years back and thought I should definitely get round to trying to create this. Massive fan of Anomalie's stuff and how he's fusing jazz and contemporary styles! My controller is the Maudio Hammer 88? Do you play or just curious about the controller? :)

@@pianoproductions9059 Again, impressive job!!, i discover Anomalie a couple of years ago and Velours is my favourite song of his. I play the piano, a Yamaha CP-70m wich is an electric grand piano that has pickups like a guitar does and also it has midi capabilities, i have done piano covers too but of a british band called Keane, when you have a time i invite you to check it out in my youtube channel, so far i have plenty of songs all of that band.
I was curious to know the brand of your piano controller because every time i see something that i can't recognize at first sight i usually ask just to known and acquire more knowledge about it, besides i have plans to buy one in the future!, haven't decided wich one yet :)

No worries I have heard of keane will have a look, and no worries, it's a pretty decent controller for the money £400 pretty light too not great for super difficult classical stuff (as response is not as good as some £2000 workstation/ stage piano) but it does the job pretty well would buy again! :)

Hi Amal, unfortunately I don't have any kind of transcription from this was played entirely by ear, I'd suggest playing on half speed or watching the second half the video when I play along slowly.
