Pro Tip: Next time show us the cost that each vehicle sold for. It was slightly disappointing to not be able to read the sale prices on all of them and after investing my time and energy into the challenge I wanted to see the exact figure for each vehicle shown.
Doug's wrong, the smaller V8 is the 4.7 2UZ-FE, not the 4.6 3UR, which is partly why the 4.7 Tundras have good resale value, given the 3UR has a few known issues while the 2UZ is effectively invincible.
I once saw a guy in a white 8 series cabrio in munich, trying to do a launch but accidentally going in reverse. That was the most embarrassing thing I ever saw.
I can't believe how undervalued the MP412C is. Even at launch they sold it for quite less than their competitors from Ferrari, Lamborghini etc. Clarkson on top gear loved this car as well.
Yeah mp4s are hanging with modern supercars despite its age, and as for the reliability goes, drew peacock owned his for around 3 years or so and has had 0 problems with it
This was one of my favorite Cars & Bids video. This trio is so much fun to watch, even Nick and Doug’s other friend, those guys are entertaining in videos. As a hot hatch enthusiast, that last one was very intriguing for me! I wish they would’ve thrown in some more hot hatch questions like a Focus ST and Golf GTi, or STi and Focus RS.
According to Electrek, the Toyota bZ4X was the eighth best selling EV in the second quarter of 2024, with 7,571 cars sold. It outsold the Kia EV6 in that quarter. The incentives must be working!
Hey i love such episodes and iv been subbed since like the hummer days ig. If i may, i would suggest you flash side by side the car details so we have a shot at playing along the way yall knew the transmission and other details but all we had to go buy was a picture and the model of car. Which is fun too but kinda impossible.
The first year or two of the 2007 tundra redesign had the 4.7 V8, prior to moving to the 4.6 V8 as their base 8cyl option. I was selling them at the time and remember wondering why they didn't upgrade the old v8 motor at that time lol
Doug is wrong about the Tundra. In 07 there were 3 engine options. The 4.0L V6, the 4.7L V8, _not_ the 4.6, and the 5.7L iForce V8. From 2010-2019 they were offered with the 4.6L V8 or the 5.7L, in 2020 the 4.6 was dropped.
How many of us (that have the option) use the auto parking. I have three cars now with this functionality and have never used it or looked into how to use it
Hey Doug + team. The SS sedan in stick DOES have auto park! I've had both a '15 SS Sedan and '16 SS sedan with a stick and it's on the cars. Never have tried to use it though. 😂
Doug bets Kennan $10,000.00, or the equivalent of service for another two months of E39 upkeep for poor Kennan. So sorry the cost of your happiness is so expensive, and with parts availability waning, a fleeting pursuit, dude!
I thought that Tundra gen had a 4.7 & 5.7L V8, don't recall 4.6... I'm aware 4.6 was in other Toyo/Lexus products, so I guess it'd make sense. Never realized a V6 was offered though, yuk lol...
I died a little bit inside when they asked if the 7.3L Powerstroke was desirable or not. And then I became actually deceased when Filippo called it a Duramax.
The 2nd Gen Tundra was offered with the 4.7 V8 initially, it changed to the 4.6L V8 for the 2011 model year I think. Edit: I just googled it, and the 4.6L replaced the 4.7 for the 2010 model year.
No seller protections and very weak buyer pool. The winning bidder was allowed to back out of his bid for a minimal penalty, the second, third, and fourth highest bidders all declined to buy at their own bid prices. This leads me to believe the quality of the bidders is extremely poor, populated with keyboard warriors and not real buyers. Cars and bids has yet to come up adequate vetting or deposit mechanisms to protect everyone. They have offered to split the fee charged via credit card to the would be buyer, but they will only do so if the card charge is not challenged by the bidder. So hedging their bets instead of offering customer service. Finally, the success rate or sell-through rate is overstated as even though my deal did not go through, my car will still be shown as sold on their website because the auction ended with a bid in place. Not sure how often this occurs but very misleading and could confuse a future buyer if I try to sell again.
Doug is the kind of guy, who would obscure the most important information with his head.
omg dough doesn't win for once, we have to keep this moment as a precious memory lol
DOUGH LMAO
And it’s the only time a MK4 GTI will ever get a shout out.

Except they literally do. It would have been nicer for it to be bigger but you can still see the price.
@sam.shock924 I'm on my phone and literally cant read the price because of how small it is, unless its a close up on doug
Just zoom in on the price…
They should show the prices to the viewers at home beforehand so we can get excited when Doug is about to get one wrong lol.
Targa 124 turbo 120, isuzu 7.2 beat 8, gtr 150 v rx7 43

Filippo is the most likable person on the podcast/C&B videos
To be fair it would be difficult to be the most obnoxious person in a group that also has Doug in it.
Can confirm that manual Chevy SS’s do have auto-parking ability… however you’re better off doing it yourself 9:46
“Is the 7.3 desirable?”
"I think its one of the desirable duramax's." 😬
Well, is it?
It is THE diesel v8. @@gmansplit

Questions around reliability will forever keep the prices low on these.

Wait what?!!! Did Fillipo just say the 7.3 Duramax is one of the desirable engines?!!! You’re fired!! Lol
This was the best challenge - very close.
Those Tundra wheels are heinous
We played along and got 4 correct, Honda Beat, R33 GTR, BMW M2, & the McLaren
I call BS.
This was the best challenge so far
Congrats Filippo on a much deserved win,you rock my friend and please don't let Doug put you down, you're the head of operations for a reason!!!
Doug is such a funny guy and Kennan and Filippo are great as well

When doug said "No matter how inflatable i am, you cannot sell a BZ4x", i think he forgot about the prospect of a blow up doll 😈
Filippo preferring the purple B6 Alpina over a manual m2 is not surprising lol
This was a fun game to play along with at home… and I have to say, I would have won.

this reminds me of old top gear, great videos!
15:01 so funny😂😂
Great game!
Why didn't you share the prices as a matter of course?!? And the details too.
Filippo's comment about how Doug is earned that vid's thumb up from me.

Doug the 4.7 ran through 09 in the tundra, so that would help increase its value over the 4.6(2010+) tundras.
Yay go Felipo!!
Rest in peace Rabbit 🙏🔥
Agreed. 🙏 😢
Super fun game!
This would be a great weekly
Chevvy ss.. you mean a commodore abroad xD .. both ls engines tho 😂
15:01 yes I sure do love my Ford Duramax and my Chevy Powerstroke
FINALLY! Horay Fillipo!

Doug is definitely high in these.
A day when Doug doesn’t win is a good day
Doug offered to choose another option only because they cant get 5-5 by choosing the same car. Chance of 5-5 is 50% instead of 25%
FILIPPO GET A QVALE MANGUSTA!!!
Yayyy Filippo won 😊
VW of Orchard Park was selling Golf R’s for almost $60k at one point. Nowhere in New York State were you getting an R at msrp or even remotely close.

Why is nobody commenting on the fact that philipo asked if the 7.3 was one of the desirable Duramax's. Power strokes philipoz power strokes.
Can we get a Doug sniff count added to these videos?
“7.3 is a desirable duramax” is the most cars and bids quote imaginable
Came here for the comment to that statement
My next door neighbor actually bought (or more likely leased) a B4ZX. I have to wonder what kind of ridiculous deal they got. 😂
