I love loose, freeform podcasts like this because you get to do stuff like start with an in-depth preview of the first guitar controller in years and end with huffing lead fumes. A rhythm game pro's ideal career arc tbh
I've always been a strong advocate for music genre inclusion for the games. I am still being surprised by artists that I have heard the name of but never went out of my way to listen to before. While I have less than zero say in any songs that come to Festival.. man if it translates well, its fun. You guys have touched on getting that "new game" hype that you haven't felt in a very long time, and it's absolutely there. Get hype, stay hype.
ACAI IS THE RIZZMASTER 👀 I'm really excited for the Riffmaster even outside of RB4 and Fortnite Festival... Steam Deck here I come! Also, I hope players finally figure out how *the game* works, I want to stop having to explain how Perfects and lift notes work.
The new guitar looks good, but I wonder if there are plans for custom faceplate designs, since they're making it clear that the removable faceplate is a key part of the controller's branding.
I feel like that's a given. There's a lot of love and thought in the design, and decorative faceplates are a money printer the design is prepared for right out of the box 🤷♀️
I'm holding off for festival for now tbh. I'm one of those metal enjoyers and as you guys were talking about, that's not likely to come out any time soon. Glad it's doing well though, gives me hope that it's got legs for the series and all that. might have to get one of those guitars too
Can confirm about Unreal. On the one hand, I think Fortnite Festival is wonderful. But at the same time, fuck Epic for yeeting the entire franchise into oblivion - including Unreal 3 which *STILL* hasn't come back despite Epic saying they would move it to their current servers. I want to play as my boy again Gorge so bad ;_;
Hey guys, who ever is editing these videos: can you please turn it up a few decibels? It's just really quiet even when I'm wearing my Sennheiser headphones
noted. Audio balancing is tough, all of our microphones record at drastically different volumes and it changes slightly every week. I'll try to make next week's episode a bit louder.
In terms of the optimal talk, so far bad guy lead is the only realistic optimal, Believer and Dog Days Bass have tick squeezes and it makes them an absolute chore Tick squeezing while still hitting a perfect is an absolute nightmare

JP's cookin?!
Yep. And it's not just me.
Been stuck with legacy controllers for rock band 4 on PS5 so this better let me log in to my account 😂
I'd buy sherk in Fortnite on a heartbeat

Tick squeezing while still hitting a perfect is an absolute nightmare
so fortnite festival will only support the riffmaster and RB4 guitars?, no support for the old ones?
They haven't confirmed anything yet.
They said they want to support as many controllers as possible
