Jamie forcing whiskey into every recipe has finally bit him in the ass lol
That being said, the yorkshire wraps look great! I'd eat everything here (except the gravy)
The thing about putting whiskey into everything is eventually you're so hammered you don't care what anybody thinks about it.
@@danceswithdirt7197 Can be a bit of a whisky business doing that though.
Less whiskey and more cooking could’ve improved the sauce
Mike going “Snow” at Jamie was such brilliant timing 😂
FLOUR BOMB CURVEBALL!
And Ebbers' laughter was so filled with vengeful joy :D
@@Fyreflier 😂
@@1Joh411 Passy Aggers Intensifies 😂
I literally laughed out loud when he did that, it was perfect.
The look on everyone’s faces when they tried the gravy. Priceless.
I owe alot to the sorted boys. This channel has helped me learn so much about food and how to prepare it whilst fully entertaining me with Barry's pretentiousness, Ben's Passive Aggression, Jamie and his wonderful goofiness and Mike with his amazing humour. Sorted are just fabulous thank you boys so much keep it up and have a good Christmas everyone!
Our pleasure! Happy holidays!
You forgot James, I know he's not part of Sorted anymore, but he'll always be there in our hearts, and we'll always miss his gingerness 😁😆
@@Kricke87 so true how could I possible forget 👍😀😆
@@SortedFood it's happy Christmas your ENGLISH!!!!!!!
@@matt3642 it’s also “you’re English”
My brain instantly went "oh no" when Jamie decided to create another hybrid dish using a burrito..
I think we all have flashbacks whenever Jamie makes something burrito-like.
"oh dear, oh dear"
In Jamie's next burrito adventure, he puts a sushi roll in a burrito...
The fact Ebbers' "Yule all be glad to know" joke at 3:48 & the "Spruce it up" joke at 7:15 were missed by the editors allows me to feel his pain...
I came here to day this! I laughed so hard at the Yule one 🤣
@@RB-hq8wi I’m so glad it wasn’t just me that thought it was deliberate 😂😂
AND the Icelamd one as Mike was filling his piping bag
A big thank you to everyone at Sorted (in front of and behind the cameras) for spreading the cheer all year long! It's been such an unpredictable year and you've made our lives that much easier to cope with, despite the ups and downs that everyone has had. Merry Christmas... and here's to many more years of sass, fun and culinary experiments! Big hugs to all... and a nose boop for each of you from Milo, the cat!
Second that! Plus the consistency in putting videos out every week without fail.
Barry's bacon sticks look amazing, and sounds like it was a tasty winner. I think that'd be the thing for me. We don't really have bread sauce or cranberry sauce in Norway, but I'm seriously tempted to try that for new years eve.
I'm from New England in the US, home of the cranberry. Cranberry sauce is not that far off from lingonberry jam. Would be easy enough to substitute that in Barry's recipe.
@@GenXBecks Oh, nice! I have some of that already. That saves a heap of trouble (and cost :))
Thanks! :D
Bread sauce is legit the best part of Chistmas mate. Get round it!
it's deep-fried bacon, of course it's delicious
As a Yorkshireman we absolutely love Yorkshire puddings being used in any way they can. All about their diversity 👀
I'm willing to try and make one for the first time ever :-)
They are so delightful. I can make a meal of Yorkshire pudding, gravy and steamed veg. And I'm from Missouri, USA.
This may be controversial but I think Yorkshire puddings are the best thing Yorkshire ever made. Yes I am including things like steel and Jane Eyre.
"Let me tell you what Christmas REALLY is about this year!"
"SNOW!"
Seriously, i wouldnt have survived 2020 or 2021 without you guys!
That part made me laugh out loud. I loved it!
Honestly, Mike's was absolutely a product of genius. I always struggle with the question of what to do with my leftover leftovers, and usually end up simply throwing them away after they've been in the fridge for too long. Giving them a massive rework was really really smart, and Mike should be commended for that recipe. Awesome stuff!!!
Same. And now we know the solution...wrap them in bread...
Me getting ready to joke about Jamie being a repeat offender when it comes to combining things with burrito that most people don’t think belong in it & then Ben already calling him out for it. 😂😂😂
He hurt my feeling
I got my Sorted subscription yesterday and I'm so happy to finally be able to not only support the channel but get so much help for my cooking. Thanks for another year of Sorted Awesomeness!!
Amazing!!!! Hope you enjoy xxx
Fun thing about bay leaves, at least in old Swedish cookbooks: it seems that no matter what you were making, or how many portions, you always should add 1 (one) bay leaf. Almost like it was some magical thinking involved there, "We can't go wrong as long as we add a bay leaf!"
You know what though? I though that and one day I added two - - it made the dish disgusting and flowery!! One bay leaf is the perfect amount
@@annother3350 What if youre making a massive soup at a restaurant
@@oweninsertlastname1575 If I owned a restaurant I wouldnt serve soup!!
thing is they do stuff, just not very noticeable, the general rule of thumb is that you might not notice it doing anything but you will notice when it's not there. it's a very subtle taste and a lot of people have old leaves because while they do keep for a long time you do need to store em properly for it to be the case
Or grow them in the garden, which we do here in Somerset, UK ..but beware, once the roots are established, the trees grow incredibly quickly: they need a hard trim back at least once or twice a year: we are always trying to give the fresh leaves away. If you haven't got a garden, they will also thrive in large pots.
This is the reason why I missed the h2h2h battles!!! It is so much fun and learning ❤️ Great episode, really funny also.. And yes brussel sprouts can be used in some other lifetime😂
More to come!
@@SortedFood can't wait!! Enjoy your holidays!
I'm so happpy to see Jamie trying to sneak his dad jokes into these, just look at how happy he is at his gravy joke.
Happy holidays SORTEDfood!
And then he had the *nerve* to complain about Ben's puns!
I often think he has to be one of the best silly dads in the world. Then I think, his poor wife...ha, ha.
Just from the looks alone, you guys SEEMED to enjoy Barry's stuff best. For myself, I'd have to agree with Ebbers assessment.
Merry Christmas boys :)
I hope you all have a (well-deserved) fantastic holiday. As someone with a chronic illness that regularly messes with my ability to eat and enjoy food, this channel is always able to lift my spirits no matter how I'm feeling.
Thank you for the wonderful laughs today! Mike was just making sure that people like me, who like the crispier rolls, would be happy too. Hope the entire Sorted family has a wonderful, safe, and blessed Christmas!
Mike's recipe sounded terrifying at first, but I felt the same about pastilla (a savory dish with a thick layer of sugar, honey and cinnamon on top) a few years ago, and it turned out to be one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted, so I would be curious to try his sweet buns. Ahem, phrasing.
Yeah curry filled buns have been a thing in Japan for a long time so the only sort of weird thing was the frosting but I could definitely see it working as a nice counter to the spice.
Actually curry filled sweet buns is something my mom makes all the time for tea (I am Indian). We use cinnamon in savory dishes anyway. Only thing which sounds weird to me is the frosting. But then again, I don't like frosting even on cake.
Funny you should say that - when Mike started with his dish I was just thinking it would kind of resemble pastilla. I've had it a few times in Morroco and Moroccan restaurants in Europe and it's so surprising and delicious at the same time !
I'd really love to try Mike's turkey curry sweet buns as well 😂
"Are you cooking bullshit? No, I'm not cooking bullshit...but there is a whiff of it. I wonder where it's coming from?" And the slow turn to Barry...timing, sarcasm, love the energy! 🤣
Mike is using Leftover’s Leftovers to make a statement and I’m here for it 😂
thank god he stayed away from Brussel sprouts my mum always makes something with left over brussels and then sends it down frozen to with when my younger brother visits.
Exactly! But why is it giving me Try Guy vibes from their cooking with out a recipe winter season: cinnamon roll addition 😂
@@bethanyd4257 It’s actually the same thing. Except none of the Try Guys are classically trained chefs.
Omg, is it just me or was this one of the funniest episodes? ( And I've been bingewatching pass it ons!) So many bennuendos and twistmas puns! I've been laughing since 5 seconds in with the birds! I wish you boys the best Christmas, and a very Merry new year. Thank you for being you. 💋
Merry Christmas guys, hope the whole Sorted team has a brilliant festive season!
Jamie turning around right as Baz says "cheese and bacon" is the normalcy we all need right now
3:03 this bit is the most rewarchable part you've done in a while. If you ever do a compilation 'best of' this definitely needs to be in there.
LOVING ALL THE VIDEOS SO FAR. The energy and effort you guys put in, is simply AMAZING!!
*Request:* By the way have you guys ever tried Chapli Kabab and Seekh Kabab? I really want you to recreate them, as they're very popular in Pakistan.
Thanks, and no... we need to try the Chapli Kebab!
@@SortedFood I bet you'll love them. *There's a very famous joke about them too. They're originally made up of beef mince and other herbs and spices, but "chappal" basically means sandals in Urdu, so people often use the term as a joke😅*
They should definitely seekh them out.
@@Khazandar haha, that's a really good one😅
I'd love to see them trial some Persian kebabs.
Ben: "My three little elves"
Normals: 🖕🖕🖕
that's true friendship right there!
Badge idea for pass it on or battle: allergy awareness. So make recipes that generally have some or many elements that include allergens (say peanut butter, almond flour, etc) and ways to navigate those elements while still being able to enjoy all the flavors of the dish.
OMG, SORTED, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO THIS!!!
Yes, lots of the quick recipes that are trendy at the moment seem to be various combinations of peanut butter and chocolate!
I think they should get points for how many allergens they can avoid. Growing up, our family had to make everything dairy, wheat, gluten and sugar free in the days before free from products were available in the supermarkets, so something like this would have been super helpful.
Also all the times they use activated charcoal for colour when anyone on daily medications _cannot_ eat that stuff at the risk of having it make the meds inert
@@Fyreflier that’s quite an easy fix tho. Just don’t use it - it’s only there for colour.
Other ingredients (nuts, dairy etc) do need a sub out as they’re there for structure or flavour.
I can already see it vividly in my head, we'd get most of the way through the episode, and then jamie would go "And some cashews for garnish", chop the nuts up, sprinkle it over the food, and then Ben goes "What's the name of this challenge again?" and seeing Jamie slow his sprinkling down with a "oh god" look on his face
I kinda feel like having SUCH a major flavor component ready before starting should've counted more against Mike. Barry is my winner, even Ebbers was tempted to call it that way. Everything sounds really tasty, though.
Completely agree!
yh mike essentially just made raita, the dough was made and the curry was already made, whereas barry made everything himself
One of the funniest videos from you guys. The boys was just on fire throughout. Comedic timing spot on!
I just wanted to say a huge thank you and Merry Christmas to all of the wonderful team at Sorted. Not only has this been another excellent year of content, but over the past 4 weeks I’ve been really ill with COVID and watching the videos and back-content has really help to keep me positive each day. Have a great festive break and I am looking forward to learning from, sharing and enjoying more Sorted fun in 2022 👏❤️
Merry Christmas to everyone at sorted and thanks a ton for a year of delicious, sometimes bizarre, but always wonderful cheerful content! 😀
I like Mike's recipe best because it requires the least amount of cooking out of the 3. While marathon cooking for the holidays (Christmas, New Year, and 3 BIRTHDAYS), I want my meals to be as effortless and multipurpose as possible. A lot of the components are premade and being able to throw together a batch of these rolls for everyone to enjoy makes things much easier and cuts down on the need to order in to avoid more cooking. Great job, guys!
Classic ultimate battle with all 3 boys in the Kitchen Finally! great video!!
The Head to Head to Head, to beat all the Head to Head to Heads. Thank you Sorted for a wonderful year. We couldn't make it without you. Have a wonderful holiday.
This video is proof (if proof were needed) that these three are still definitely normals.
Jamie's gravy has to live in the hall of terrible fame alongside Barry's cloud egg and Ben's 'kinky' risotto.
Nothing can ever top Barry's cloud egg experiment
"Let me tell you what Christmas is really all about"
"Snow!"
was my fave 😂
Their food always looks so amazing. It's fun to see when something like Jamie's gravy REALLY doesn't work out lol.
I had to change my diet when I found out I had high blood pressure which is around the time I found this channel. It's made me want to cook more variety and it got me started baking. Now anytime i have a meal on my own, I have to watch one of your videos while eating. So thank you guys for well being awesome!!
Before the judging, Mike’s was the one that I thought looked the most appetizing, Barry’s was the one that I thought would taste the best even though I’m from US and never had “bread sauce”, all that stuff and wrapped in bacon and deep fried was surely going to be good and Jaime’s was the one that I wanted to try the most. But the whiskey gravy sounded awful.
If you've ever watched someone make a historical British sauce that looks a bit lumpy and weird, bread sauce is basically one of those that has somehow managed to survive the ages. It's traditionally milk, butter, and cream boiled with breadcrumbs and flavoured with onion, cloves, peppercorns and lots of herbs like thyme and sage. Barry's version looks much nicer.
Love Ben's Christmas puns. This whole episode had me rolling. Thanks for spreading some holiday cheer!
I can’t wait to try and make Mike’s curry rolls, they looked delicious
I do love the leftover leftovers idea. Like what Mike was saying. I tend to take leftover overes into a new dish. And then get tired of that new dish after having it a few times.
Jamie, that looked really tasty and I was really shocked when everyone started gagging.
The reaction to 3 little elves was priceless 😂
I really love that Mike’s curry rolls showed up in CBA 3. I’ve really missed having actual recipes for the food featured in so many videos. Since I took a look through every cookbook, I’ve found most of my favorites, and that’s been really nice.
Loving the video! I just keep laughing out loud. 😂
Glad you enjoyed!
This was one of THE funniest episodes I’ve ever watched. Thank you so much 😂😂😂
Me: Jamie is hands down the best cook of the three
Jamie: *makes a sauce apparently so disgusting I think I could taste it through the screen*
Ben's grin and puns and smirks really shined! Adorable! 😍
I admit I'm so happy a recipe backfired on Jamie and they didn't hold back on saying how disgusting it was
Merry Christmas to the fans and Sorted Family. Been having kind of a rough month, but watching y’all’s videos have helped keep me upbeat around these times!
You got this!
@@SortedFood thank you. I appreciate it a lot!
I think Ben's joke make things feel more like a normal dinner. The boys are so focused, it's hard to tell sometimes if they're having fun. Also, the editor missed the pun "spruce it up". Ya know, spruce? The tree? 😂
Happy Christmas! Love these vids where the three Normals are cooking together in the kitchen, loads more of these in the New Year!
I can imagine those Turkey curry cinnamon rolls work really well! 😁
Bar the gravy, I think that all looks delicious. 😁
Very late to the party on this but I finally made Jamie's Yorkie wrap with the leftovers from the New Year roast and it was incredible! (I did skip the whisky gravy though...) Will definitely be making again.
Mike’s dish and presentation was quite brilliant today! Congratulations, Mike 👏🏽
Yes it was!
Mike: *enters an Ultimate Battle in 2021*
Mike: "I keep winning"
I love watching the videos.. it inspires me to "Spaff" up a few more recipes too.. Merry Christmas Lads xx
I have to admit, but not having any more Sorted this year makes me want to go charging into 2022 even faster...
Have a good holidays, be safe, and eat well!
I found your channel due to looking for a Yorkshire pudding recipe and here I am 4 years later loving the channel even more than I did before. Thank you for teaching us all some amazing recipes and ideas. You guys are awesome 😊 xx
This needs to be a learning curve for Jamie not to add whiskey to everything 😂
Merry Christmas Sorted! Thank you for making my year so much better. It has been an incredibly hard year. Thank you for making it a bit lighter, and teaching me some new tricks.
Random Fact: Justin Timberlake's half-eaten french toast sold for over $3,000 on eBay!
Merry Christmas to you all. Thank you for all the laughs and learnings this year. I love your channel! Best wishes for the new year.
They all look great. But I've got to to give it to Mike. We have tons and tons of turkey curry that we end up eating for days and it still gets chucked out a few days after! It looks so good and I might have to do a budget version this year.
I am so glad we're ending the year of chef skills and leveling up with a classic normal spaffed up battle, feels like old time in the best way.
I dunno how I feel about Mike winning. The curry I could say fine cause leftovers are the theme but he also didn't make the dough so really all he did for the recipe is make the shape and do the frosting. Jamie might have made a horrible sauce but he made everything and Barry especially made everything on the plate and made in Bens own words the most Christmas tasting thing. To me Barry should have won due to Jamie making the sauce and Mike not making the two main parts of his dish.
I thought the Same! Although the rolls look amazing.
Turkey curry, pigs-in-blanket, Yorkshire pudding. This is interesting because none of these are normal American dishes for Christmas. I love it!

MERRY CHRISTMAS! We love you and thank you for the inspiration and entertainment!
I luv battles that have all 3 guys cooking together.....its more fun to watch .....
Between Sorted Food and Korean Englismen the pandemic was a lot easier to bare and have learned a lot. Happy Xmas to the Sorted Team from Minnesota U.S.
"My three little elves"
Aw, Ben! Fabulously comfy and funny at rhe same time
Love the challenge!! Curveball for the next challenge: No knifes!! I would love to see how everyone reacts!!
Merry Christmas to the entire Sorted team!
The energy of this ultimate battle reminds me of the good ol’ days. I’ve missed this!
Well done everyone at sorted food thanks for all the laughs over the past year during this uncertain time and have a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
My friend and I had leftover beef wellington from Christmas so we made Eggs Wellington. The wellington was the toast served with hollandaise sauce with the same mustard in the welly and the yolk leftover from the egg white wash on the pastry, a poached egg, and on the side, cranberry garlic sauteed brustle sprouts, roast carrots, and fried prosciutto. All leftovers and absolutely delicious.
Thanks for a years worth of laughs and inspiration. To all: Merry Christmas!!!!!!
Thanks for a year of glorious laughter and food!
Thank you Sorted for another great year of food inspo and laughs. Merry Christmas everyone!
Cheers from Russia! Happy New Year. Can't wait for the new Sorted season!
Merry Christmas fellas, thank you for making 2021 such a wonderful year of laughter, good friends and wonderful food. Cannot wait to see you content for next year.
Merry Christmas to everyone at Sorted and to all of us in the community. A huge thank you for keeping us learning and entertained during such difficult times. Here's to much more fun in the next year 🥂!
"2022 is already ruined." 🤣 Ben-nuendos were strong in this video. Merry Christmas, SortedFood! Thank you for all the entertainment you provide all year. 😁👍
Mike, like always, everytime you are in the blooper at the end of the videos, you know exactly how to make me laugh just by saying it out loud instead of keeping the comments to yourself. All three of you are amazingly good in cooking and funny. Ben, well...he's also funny in his way. I love seeing you all. I always wait for Wednesday's and Sunday's videos.
I wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS ! 🥰🎅🤶🧑🎄🎄❄☃️❄⛄❄☃️❄⛄❄🎁❤
Merry Christmas to all at Sorted! Thanks for making me laugh during a difficult year!
I just get excited everytime i get a notification for a new upload on this channel ❤️
Merry Christmas to the whole sorted crew! Hopefully you're having some well deserved time off
Merry Christmas you guys...you definitely managed to make this year a bit brighter for people!
My favourite Christmas leftover recipes are brussel sprout and smoked ham omelette or turkey mushroom pasta bake with crispy stuffing topping! I'd love to try all these though, great video guys! Happy Christmas!
I love the boys dynamic with each other. Just a solid group of friends
Turkey Curry Rolls and Bread Sauce Fingers both looked very good, so props to Mike and Barry for doing their respective dishes.
Merry Christmas to you all and your families. Thank you for a great year and keeping us entertained through tough times..
Can't wait to see what the new year brings. Hopefully ebbers will get a new pun book in his stocking.. Lol.🤣 X
The blooper was hilarious, because in the end they _did_ gobble up the nappy and loved it!
As somebody who makes your pizza/pesto rolls a lot, Mike's recipe isn't really that much of a twist tbh... but Jamie's one i'll definitely try! Excellent episode as always. Happy holidays to everybody ❤
Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year! The meal packs have been wonderful and the Pass it On Live was hilarious (especially the Christmas Hamper episode - Headless Mariah’s Hamper). The one thing I remember and marvel every time I use it is frying an egg in place of a hard boiled egg. Ben did that for a challenge and it’s so easy and more flavorful. My egg salad sandwiches are amazing!
Merry Christmas to you guys too! I loved every episode of your show. Thank you so much!!!!
That was hilarious. Definitely making the Yorkshire Pud wrap. Have a great Christmas gents and I look forward to more of your stuff in 2022.
Happy Christmas to all at Sorted. Thank you for all the excellent content this year. See you in 2022
Thanks again for the special Pass it on! Enjoy the holidays, you deserve it after that!
Thanks, you too!
