I loved this group of mini trends! I am on board with all of them, even the bustier although I'm starting with a black knit version over a black sheer button down shirt. Last year, I started wearing square neckline tanks over oversized silk shirts in an identical or similar colour and loved the result. I did have a moment of hesitation as it felt a bit of a throwback to a look I favoured in the seventies but I really loved the new look using tonal colours. I love orange and I like the idea of teaming it with blue tones rather than black.
I am loving adding a little pop of orange into my outfits with an orange bag I recently purchased. Such a bright and fresh colour that adds a nice touch I think. I am also loving some of the lavender pieces I’m seeing lately. Also, I would love to learn to speak french! Thanks for another great video Leonie!
I am so with you about pairing orange and black! Every time I am tempted, I think Halloween, and I stop myself. I do wear orange, although I am more fair skinned, but have darker hair. Love it for this time of year, especially. Thanks for the encouragement to wear the colorful shoes!
As for orange, I had on a lot of orange yesterday. I wear it a lot and it suits my dark skin tone. As for orange and black, we put it together here in L.A. year round as one can pair it with black for evening wear in the warm season. Plus, we can wear vibrant colors year round due to our weather. When the seasons change, we just pair the vibrant colors like orange, with more subdued colors; black, brown, khaki tan, khaki green, etc. It depends on where one lives and what one's climate is when it comes to vibrant colors and also pairing them with other colors. Greetings from Los Angeles
I have been stocking up on vests. They are a classic, and you immediately look more pulled together, especially in summer when you can’t really layer. Favorite for work, but I have also bought some that look fancier for events. ❤ur trend reports
Hi Leonie, You are never too old to wear anything! You look fabulous. You take care of your body. You can wear everything you want. Enjoy the bustier. It's definitely hot for the season.
Thanks for these. I like them all. Love raffia - quintessential summer bag material but I just cant get my head around $3k for a Prada bag made out of such a cheap, non durable material. Love my sambas but currently love my red adidas gazelles even more - it is a very similar low profile ex soccer shoe design but I am enjoying having red sneakers this autumn.
Yay Leonie! I’m so excited to see your denim bustier! I’m a petite 55yrs and I’ve bought several formfitting denim vests hoping to find the nerve and buy a real bustier (over a button down shirt or a tshirt). I’m emotionally stuck at 36, haha!
I love orange, but not on me, on others 😉 But I do have an orange purse when I feel the need to wear some orange. I do this with lots of louder colors. 🧡
I bought a bright orange 100% silk sleeveless top for almost nothing, and can't wait for the Colorado weather to warm up so I can wear it. I also got a raffia bag with seashell details 3 summers ago and am so glad I can still use it. I've always loved lavender and love your shirt!
Agree! Orange on the peach or coral side is as far as I go! Love my chocking pink and orange tote , though!🧡💗 Rock my lavendel bomberjackor this spring! 💜 Bye from 🇸🇪🌷🌤
Out of all you’ve mentioned the lavender trending this season is heavenly. I’m wearing and emerald midi dress, lavender sandals and bag to a wedding in Washington next month. It’s a beautiful color combination.
I've always liked bustiers and have gone heavy into them last couple years. If you have a proper one, they replace a bra (whether worn outside or inside a shirt) have enough coverage, and are actually quite comfortable. They can function like an undergarment, a camisole-like look under a blazer, or a waist coat. Looking forward to your styling video!
Dear Ms Leonie, Thank you so much for giving us the info about...wearing a vest instead of a...tank top or t-shirt is a fun novelty for me!!! Did not know that it was in. Superb! You work very hard for all of us, it is so appreciated! Have a beautiful week " down there " ;) tee-hee! helene :)
Hello Leonie! I love bright orange! I have a crochet orange bage with a chain link it is from Zara. I bought it last year. I have a scuba material bright orange bad with lime green/grey striped strap.
Actually I will love to c u in ur new bustier! My dad says age is on our heads...so I'm planning, when time arrives, to keep wearing all my favourites as long I have the body for it and look good. My mum will jump from a window before wearing one but will show her ur video when u uploaded!!😊 😘😘
I love your summer fashion trends examples. I'm looking for a soft color blazer for the summer I can just wear over anything. I saw some examples here. I have been looking for orange sandals with a heel (cuz I'm short), they would go with all black or white outfits and more, and I, like you, Leonie, tried to find the trendy Sambas from Adias, no luck so far. As far as learning a foreign language French would be my choice also. My sister-in-law is learning French but she lives too far away from me to practice with her if I decided to learn the language. I think the denim busier (did I spell that right?) vest you are waiting for will look beautiful on you.
Very informative! I recently bought a dove grey vest that I'm thinking of pairing with my mid-grey wide leg trousers and Adidas Samba. I've been trying to get hold of the Sambas for almost two years now and it's just recently that I was able to find them in my size so I ended up getting a pair in black and another one in white! I also really love orange as accessories. I have three bags in this bright orange colour which I love to carry. They bring a pop of colour to my go-to outfit: a plain white tee + mid-blue Levi's 501's. In the summer, I also like wearing red-orangey lipstick. Last year, I bought a lavener pencil midi skirt to pair with my lavender roll-neck pullover. I was supposed to wear it as a 50's costume to a party but ended up wearing something else. But since you mentioned lavender as one of the trends of the season, I thought I'd reinvent that lavender midi skirt (since pencil midi's are also on trend now). Any suggestions on what should I pair it with for a fresher, more modern look?
I just decided I didn’t want negativity here on my channel and I didn’t like seeing rude comments between my viewers. This is such a lovely, positive community and I didn’t want that to change 😩
@@Thestyleinsider. I understand Leoni. I loved it you gave your opinion. Every woman above 50 should do that 😉. The world has to learn that different opinion exist and thats fine. I love the tailored vests or waistcoats. I have bought a couple of linen ones from Mango. And I've got the Adidas Sambas too, in black and in white! I've got big feet,, a UK 8.5, EUR 42.5 so trying to find shoes that I like that fit properly is the bane of my life. So I'm loving the fact that trainers have been so on trend for the last few years as I can buy from the mens department! And the Adidas Sambas are way, way more comfortable than my Veja Campos! I like the look of the raffia bags but I'd be frightened that they'd make catches and snags on my clothes.
Some great trends here. I am not a fan or bright orange, it is one colour I will never wear. Lavender on the other hand is a top favourite of mine in any shade. Love the waist coat idea. I kept watching Repertoire sale item until it got down to a better price and then pounced. Navy pin striped. Great by itself, with a blazer, white shirt, blouse. Perfect with my jeans, pants and skirts. I am putting it over a merino this Winter.
I love raffia but finding the right pieces is important. Strapless dresses is cool with a cropped jacket. Spanish is a great language to master for me. French not so much because i wouldnt use that language much. But i am going to spain and cuba. Orange and tan or brown is very cute but no matter the color style is important. Orange and olive is my vibe. Olive cargos or camo skirt with orange tank or tshirt with a tan crossbody bag. No denim bustier its not my vibe but id love to see how you style it. I use glasses to help style a outfit
I’d love a video about summer color. I reviewed my summer wardrobe, and although I thought I had a lot of summer color, I found most of it was muted. And I have too many white t-shirts.
Love statement necklace I never throw them out even though every one is saying declutter, when I wear them it always starts a conversation. They were made for me while serving in countries around the world, they are one-of-a-kind pieces and I love them. I will not throw them out anytime soon.
I bought pink and orange shoes and starting collecting orange tops to wear with them. I only wear white jeans, I agree, no black with orange! People are liking the orange on me! Can you pls link the jeans you're wearing?
I have no hesitation in saying that you will easily be able to look good in a bustier. As long as the belly area is covered it will look good under oversized blazers and all those pairing pieces that you mentioned. It's not so much about age, its about the condition and shape of your body as well as attitude. I like what you are wearing today by the way!
Hi Leonie lilac looks lovely on you.💜 I personally don’t like costume jewelry & Raffia bags are a no for me as they catch & snag a lot of materials. Enjoyed the video - well done on learning French ! I had to learn Hebrew when I emigrated to Israel 🇮🇱 it’s definitely great to be able to understand a language of the place you are visiting. Lol ❤
Hello Leonie! I'm happy I have all these trends in my closet behalve the Sambas. I wear the denim bustier on his owne. I'm 55, and I really don't understand why we can't show our arms. Love that wear your own favourites! I keep mine and wear them all the time. I keep my shopping to a minimum as a result. We all need to consume less if we want to keep living on this planet. Thanks! 💚💚💚
You’re never too old to wear anything. In particular a bustier which can be worn over the top of a tshirt or other type of shirt or on it’s own. If you love it and feel good in it, go for it.

You're never too old for anything regarding fashion IMO. It's all in the way you wear it or finding pieces to accommodate your body/age.

I love Carla too her style is so cool and chic. She does a lot of UA-cam shorts that’s how I watch her. Love your videos
Ahh yes I love her YT shorts too :) and thank you x
Wonderful fun video. A color trend video would be fun.
The denim corsets can also look great with a button down. Is versatile as well since it can be added to flowy dresses to give shape
Oh great idea - thx for sharing x

I'm definitely an orange lover! It's such a happy color!
Nice handbags complement the blouse and outfits!!

Love your hair. Tres chic!
Love the lavender top you’re wearing it this video. I have a pair of lavender Converse sneakers that I am going to pull out of my closet! 💜
Oh perfect 🤩
Funny the vest waistcoat is back in the late 90 s I had a pair of pinstripe flared trousers with a matching cropped vest I loved it ❤
Raffia really is everywhere. The Loewe raffia bag must be leading that trend coz it’s all over my timeline

Yes. Straight up orange looks weird on me, especially since I color my hair red. I love peach and coral, though.

I'm nearly 59 and will buy the first denim bustier I find that fits me right. LOVE THEM! Denim everything is my jam.

I agree - she really is :)

No denim bustier its not my vibe but id love to see how you style it.
