Yes that’s true. Lately, Upwork has been putting up some ridiculous policies. I barely use it. With problogger, you’ll get direct access to the client so you can get a part payment first

It’s always a risk. However, you should get a reasonable percentage before starting the job. This way, you do not lose out entirely
