This is an honest review of whether IAPWE is a scam, or if IAPWE is legit.
Short answer: it's a little bit scammy.

I also received an "acceptance" letter as well just now. I was uncomfortable with sharing my banking details to register for PayPal, so I think I'm not going to proceed with the application.
I got the same email, when after registration they take to my PAYPAL I was like WTF? Scammers
I just got that letter. :( I was so hopeful. Until Now.
@@mustangmolls Did you get any charges? I just signed up, but signed up for the FREE choice. I didn't sign up for any membership.
@@theozarksjourneytoself-suf5420 you will be billed. The idea is that, you sign up for the "free" month, which is billed after 30 days, then it becomes recurrent. Once you connect PayPal, that's it.
Disconnect all your cards from that PayPal account, because you will be billed monthly, and the "cancel" process is a scam.
Even when i was a "member" they never posted any jobs, and never responded for the ones I'd applied. What you pay for can be accessed for free on other platforms.
I only got a recommendation letter (after doing a test article to "qualify"). I have a feeling that recommendation letter has cost me a few employment opportunities..
This organisation is all over LinkedIn right now. Thank you for sharing your experience - I too received an acceptance email recently and was confused when they asked for my banking / PayPal info. I did not sign up and now I'm extremely relieved that I didn't.

Scam companies and highly unsuccessful startups are all over LinkedIn. They have so many job opportunities
It's extremely discouraging to find the following:
- fake remote work offers
- fake on site work offers
- job hunt platforms where you pay to see and apply for offers... and they could still be a scam.

how do we know these offers are fake? i got an acceptance email from them and i'm finding mixed reviews online
@@Anusha-fv8tz i was also accepted.. i signed up for the free trial, but i couldn't cancel. no one answered any email... Thank God it was a new PayPal acc, so wasn't connected to my bank or cards, so they've racked up a bill on that acc.
They do not offer jobs... Even when i applied to the tasks there was no response. Most of the time, they didn't have any tasks yet i had signed up.
I'm so disappointed... Anyways we live and learn.
It's amazing when you get that message you'd be waiting for...finally good legit freelance work! Then it turns out to be a scam and you can't avoid feeling depressed lol.

When they asked me to connect my Paypal for the basic membership which was supposedly "FREE" I immediately knew this was a scam.

I also just got accepted but felt weird that I needed to pay for membership to "work" for them. They also didn't mentioned anything about payment. I went throughout the link and immediately felt weird after they forced me to add my PayPal and I'm like nope💀💀💀 so I ran to youtube. Thanks a lot for sharing this😢

Thank you for this. I’m a professional writer and thought I’d expand my base of clients. Got the ‘acceptance’ email and their sketchy wording made me dig deeper into the legit nature of this. Spent a good two hours on my writing sample for absolutely nothing. Currently out of work and desperately trying to find something, only for a company like this to waste my time and get my hopes up with what I thought was lead in a job. These scammers are the lowest of the low.

Thanks for this! Their job posts are all over LinkedIn but upon closer inspection, the "hiring team" for each job links to somebody with completely unrelated experience (there was even a pharmacist) and based on an entirely different continent. Very dodgy indeed.
I'm Brazilian and they started to appear in my LinkedIn. The way that they say to you to apply for the charge is strange and I was chock that something like this appears in my Portuguese LinkedIn. I have never searched for a job in other countries. Thank you for your video, it saved me a lot of time.
I’m from Costa Rica and I had it on my LinkedIn, I felt weird with the application process and just received an “acceptance” letter, thank you for your video.
I also applied on Linkedin and after a couple of months just received an email that set off an immediate alert as not quite professional. Thankfully I decided to do a check before signing up. Thank you for sharing your experience, Zulie!
My wife stop the process as soon as they were asking for CC information in PayPal. There's no reason to ask for money if they're offering jobs. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Thank you for making this video! I've been applying for a bunch of writing jobs and I received and email that linked me to IAPWE which I was immediately suspicious of. Glad I did my research before ignorantly signing up!
i have noticed with likeden jobs- you need to go to the source and not use linkedin, seems like they are a promo hub but their application process goes to the employers junk mail and supplies a rejection letter - that is what i have found

Thank you so much for this video! I've received last night an email of acceptance. I honestly forgot I did apply to this, as almost 2 months passed. The email was from IAPWE, seemed very legit so I registered both on their website and they Freelance portal. They offered now a Basic Free membership, so I logged in with PayPal and didn't pay anything on the spot. However, when I checked my memberships there was an upcoming fee of $5 (don't know when, next month?) I canceled right away and I didn't encounter any issues. Now, my bad I didn't Google them before registering :D but I am very hesitant to send them any content as they will probably not pay, so thank you for this video. Sorry you went through this. We should make our own platform as writers and let the clients come to us! 🤩🤩🤩

They have ads all over Craigslist. They have the same ad listed 20 times. Totally lame. I’m so glad I found this video. Thank you Julie!!!
Found you because I just received one of these emails. I don't remember applying to them at all I've seen so many of their ads on LinkedIn I assumed it was sketchy. The big red flag on my email was the time pressure intended to create a sense of urgency: "The opening for the current enrollment period will close by the end of this week. Our last enrollment period was approximately 10 months ago and we do not know when the next open enrollment period will be."
Thank you for your video, I'm from Brazil and they put this "job" on LinkedIn for others countries, as always I made a research and found your video, I already suspected that is a scam, first the descrition is totally in English and don't said if we should write in Portuguese or what level of English we should have, second the payment is insane, dollar values so much than real (our money) and if that was true I would be rich in a week, third in the LinkedIn page shows only 2-10 employeers and that is quite low for a "International Association".

Thank you for the review. Highly useful. I received an email earlier this week that is exactly as you describe. I had submitted an application about two months ago through a separate job board, I don't know if the recent email was connected with that or simply random. The email looks legit (It doesn't have obvious red flags I've encountered in other scam/phish job-search correspondence. But when I got to the registration screen through the link, I decided to do general web search for IAPWE - it returned mostly negative feedback.
I responded, "And acceptance is the answer to all my problems today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing, or situation - some face of my life - unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment. Nothing, absolutely nothing, happens in God’s world by mistake."

Thank you for your video! Like others here, I received an acceptance letter, and was suspicious about this "Association". There are everywhere on LinkedIn (even though they say they have only few opening opportunities LOL). We definitely should report massively their account so no one would have to deal with their scam, especially young writers who might be discouraged.

Omg, this video just saved me. I applied thinking it was a legit website and just recived my acceptance letter. I was about to sign up, but thanks to this video. I won't be. Thanks so much.
Thanks so much for confirming my suspicions. I got an acceptance email today and thought it was for a different writing job I applied for. The email was rather generic, with a bit of an AI tone to it. I decided to click on the link and that's when I saw the registration page. Instead of filling out the form, I did more digging. Glad I did and thank you again!
Very helpful and informative. NOTE: For fun, I checked out Amy Wilkerson (the name on all IAPWE correspondence) on LinkedIn. The profile (with no photo) only lists IAPWE as employment history and no other information such as education, etc. This indicates she does not actually exist, and the company didn't even try to make her seem like an actual person. IAPWE are bad people who are currently flooding Craigslist with ads. Beware.

Today I just got an email regarding my acceptance for the writing job. They are just asking me to register to their website. I was thinking why had I applied I searched for history UA-cam videos. Unfaithful I couldn't find. But then I found this, and understood I need no other videos to watch to restrict myself from putting any of my data on their website. Thanks a lot!

No recuerdo si llegué a ese formulario para postular desde Linkedin o desde Bumeran, pero la cuestión es que llené el formulario hace un mes, y ayer me enviaron el famoso correo con el enlace para crear cuenta y la famosa membresía, la llené y cuando quise continuar me mandó a la página para pagar y ahí le di cancelar y recién me puse a googlear, felizmente vi este video.

Unfortunately, I fell for the scam and just found out that they took money from my Paypal, so I blocked the recurring payment but still didn’t unsubscribe through their form (I’m a bit esitant since even in that form they ask for your Paypal account). Do you know if blocking the recurring payment on Paypal is sufficient to stop the scam? What do you suggest I should do now? Thank you in advance.
