To wrap a 6x6 post are you ripping down 7 1/4 boards? When doing butt joints is a ripped end exposed to the elements? I'd love to see a more in depth video how you do this and also what you do for covering the concrete footings.
I thought you would at least mention what ype if boards you used to wrap the posts, fascia?? Decking boards? The fascia us so darn expensive I am trying to find a way to cut costs.

Is a butt joint with 1X6 deck boards enough to wrap the 6" post. I like that idea...
