That's exactly what I thought when I got the notification. Just 30 minutes before it popped up I was thinking I can't wait for Saturday to come so I can watch Kara and Nate
Kara is an editing beast - I can't believe she edited the first episode in the middle of travel for the second episode and delivered her usual high quality edit.
Kara and Nate I know your probably not going to see this comment but I have been a silent viewer for years. I just wanted to give a big shout out to Kara because she just makes me so happy and she just spreads joy like no other. I have not been very cheery for Christmas this year so these 9 days with Kara and Nate are like 9 Christmas presents. Thank you so much!! I appreciate all of your hard work you do for us ❤
It's everything, isn't it. The quality of your relationship, the massive organisational effort, the physical and emotional energy, and your gratitude for it all. Thanks for making the world better guys. xx
Kara and Nate have quite literally become my “I need to watch this the minute it comes out” people but also my “I need to watch every other video after their new one and proceed to leave them on all day for background noise” people. Thanks K+N ❤️
@@kaninchen1988I have!! Twice if I may add.. 🙈 I started watching them during the Trans-Siberian series and knew immediately that I had to start from the beginning. My fiancé is in awe that I can’t quote all of their episodes yet 😂

I’ve been a silent viewer for years but WOW am I so thrilled with this series!!! Y’all really knocked it out of the park 🎉 seriously so good. Going to European Christmas markets has been at the top of my bucket list forever. I’m living vicariously through you two while planning my own trip for 2024 in between waiting for episodes to air 😍 THANK YOU!
The same, these series are so much joy. I've been living in Europe for a couple of years now, and I gotta say you should come here and visit its wonderful Christmas markets and feel the vibe.
Kara asked "What did I do to deserve this life?" Well, your videos show how great this life can be realistically. You literally make people so happy with your positive attitude. When I watch your videos it literally inspires me to be positive about my life. God decided you needed to be on the UA-cam making people happy and inspiring them everyday! Ps. You need your own coffee brand.
I absolutely adore these Christmas Market vlogs! It feels like a throwback to the old days of Kara and Nate. Your journey and success are well-deserved- you've clearly worked hard for every bit of it but I will probably never get to visit the Maldives or fly long haul in first class. These trips are so relatable, and watching your adventures has me seriously considering a visit to Salzburg next year to experience the Christmas Market magic for ourselves. Keep spreading those positive vibes, and looking forward to more amazing content from you! Wishing you all the best, and happy travels! 🎄✨
I feel the same way. I really enjoy watching the videos that are actually attainable to us regular people. I love seeing places that I might actually be able to visit. It's nice to see regular travel videos again.
I’m not sure why their video of the first class flights are always so viewed. It must be something with UA-cam. Guess I’m glad they post those to make money on the videos to pay for their travels to interesting places.
The 97% efficiency thing was from the ÖBB website which is the Austrian Railway Company. They are way better than the DBB (the German Railway Company) and rarely have long delays.
I'm English and have driven all over Europe and Scandinavia, and each time I'm there I'm reminded of how fantastic the whole continent is - locations, food/drink and people. I've not done a Christmas market tour but I have spent a few wonderful Christmases in Poland. I almost think that not knowing the language or the local customs is better than knowing them because you can experience the whole thing with that childish wonder. Watching this series makes me want to take off in my car and visit some of these places you guys have. I'm not long back from NY where the Rockefeller tree competed with the Dior clock for the most Christmassy things anywhere but these European markets are ramping up the whole celebration to greater heights.
I love how Nate immediately looked for Kara when he got off the train in Strasberg (sp?)! His first concern was, where is she? And then the relief, “Oh! There you are!” You two are just so delightful.
So cool to see you visiting where I am from. Käsespätzle which means Spätzle with cheese in German is actually a very typical Swabian dish (German region)

I was really happy to see you in Budapest 🙏💖 It was the best moment of my life when I recognised you next to the Hero's Square. (I was the tourguiding girl on a first date, who asked for a picture.) If you ever come to Hungary again, I would be more than honored to guide you along the city, maybe even a bit further for free! 🙏 Love you 💗
Wow, you guys, you are NAILING this series. I would watch 3 hour episodes if you had them! (by the way, your videos have never looked this polished. Great job, team!) I've been a bit obsessed with Strasbourg for many years, as I loved the German influence (and gorgeous architecture) on the scenic waterfront of France. It was like the best of both countries, with a little bit of Italy thrown in. So imagine my delight to see that so far Strasbourg ranks top of your list! This will definitely be on my bucket list of places to go. Once at Christmas, and ones in the Spring/Summer when everything is in bloom. Thank you guys for taking me there! ❤
My youngest sister lived in Basel for several years, and I have very fond memories of attending their market from when we would fly over for tChristmas. Love this series!
I'm literally planning my Christmas Market trip - thanks for the inspiration - we just got back from Europe, so it was so exciting to see the places where we have travelled this year - great job!
Going through a bit of a rough patch this holiday season and your videos are one of my biggest sources of joy (now & always!) Thank you for being such kind, genuine humans, we love you! 🫶

I love the challenges you do but this Christmas series is why I fell in love with the channel. I really enjoy you all visiting new cities and doing what the locals do.
Adore these holiday market videos. They really put me in the holiday spirit. And even after all these years, I still love watching K&N try new food. Love the rating system too. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!!! 🎄🎅🏻❄✨💖❤🥂
For unknown reasons, I have put off watching the Christmas market videos, and at 3am I finally watched, it may be one of my favs now… maybe just the Christmas nostalgia I get watching it, but loved them!❤
We were just in Germany for 12 days. The snow reeked havic with Munich and trains. We missed out on train journey to Zermatt. Did the Nuremberg christmas market. Favorite was Guteneck market outside of Weiden Germany. Magical!!
I admire how quickly Kara and Nate can turnaround a new video. Have been watching their IG in real time and they’ve been running at 100 mph. We so appreciate you both ❤️❤️❤️
I’m 65 and watch all your videos living vicariously through you both because it was always my dream to travel to Europe. So glad I’ve been able to watch you both feel blessed and know it!!❤💙
Because they bring out natural emotions with all of their videos. I want to visit these same places someday but in the meantime I am emotionally invested in these videos.
I just shared this video with my hubby and one of my dear friends who I was stationed with in Germany . This is so nostalgic, heartwarming, and exciting....y'all have inspired me plan/organize something similar for 2026 with a few select people. Although I'll probably want to go for a few weeks to reduce the stress of traveling to a new place every day... You both are ROCK STARS as my anxiety (and age lol) could not tolerate the pace you are keeping. Thank you for sharing your adventures and your beautiful personalities and souls! -Kathryn
I am an incredibly busy and stressed out college student currently working on finals, and there is nothing I love more than watching Kara and Nate travel the world and experience new things.
@Kara Strasbourg was founded by Romans and was Germanic until in 1681 France took it until 1871 it became German again. After 1918 WW1 war it was taken by France again. The Glühwein, Spatleze you ate and many other dishes aren’t French Cuisine but German.
I love that you're eating spätzle in France instead of Germany. It is actually a german tradition. It has roots in the south of germany. We also say "schwäbische Spätzle". Also every Glühwein is also different at every place you buy it. Thats my experience. You can try 2 different Glühwein at one christmas market.
Thanks I was looking for someone to correct them 😂 I can’t deal especially cause they literally put cheese sauce ontop of the not even handmade Spätzle! My Allgäuer heart was bleeding so much! Someone make them some homemade Kasspatzen!
Spätzle is pretty popular in most Alemannic countries (so swabia, Switzerland, Vorarlberg and Elsace). so eating it in Strassbourg definitely works as well!
Strasbourg has a history of going back and forth being part of France and Germany through the wars and many boundary re-drawings. Many cities on that border have shared customs and traditional food.
While watching, I started to crave spätzle all over again! Although I am American, I was stationed in Southwest Germany twice and absolutely miss the food, the traditions, and of course, the people (of Germany AND throughout Europe). We always had such a great time experiencing the Christmas season/Silvester with our wonderful friends in the village. This makes me want to move back! :)
my parents live in basel and i cant make it there in time for a christmas market, thank you so much for giving me the good christmas vibe. also im so excited my mom got me one of the green gluwein mugs
I was secretly always hoping you guys would do a Europe Christmas market video! Love this series, it’s so interesting and very nostalgic to your older videos ❤
I love Christmas time so much. Very emotional for me. Family and food, friends and children laughing. You both have made this season so happy for me just by my watching your escapades!! This video is so helpful too in making a decision on where to visit during the holidays. I have been battling arthritis for the past 5 years or so with joint replacements - knees, lumbar spine fusions and a hip replacement a week ago. That has put a kabash on any traveling for me. BUT you have made me feel like I was with you. Kara, your ratings on the food has been great! I will look up recipes to see if I can enjoy the food almost as much as you. No wine for me. Don’t drink alcohol. And Nate’s sweet tooth matches mine! I can’t wait for more. Thank you both deeply for sharing with this homebound lady. ❤🎉🎄🎅
The ONLY thing getting me through this Holiday is the Kara and Nate Christmas Market series. Thank you guys so much! This type of series has been missed! Very old school Kara and Nate!
Love the Videos of the Christmas Markets, Lived in Munich for many years and the vibe you get in Strassburg, with the local markets is what you would have seen walking around Munich. Each neighborhood has its own vibe. The smaller more intimate markets are the best!
A Kara and Nate video on a Wednesday??? Best weekday ever! You two have been living my Christmas fantasy life since you started this adventure. Thank you so much for letting us live vicariously through you, because the Baltimore, MD Christmas market, while fun, is NOTHING compared to these! Following your IG stories makes me super excited for the next video too!! Happy Christmas to you both!!
I've seen those filter-in-the-cup coffee cups in, of all places, on board Ryanair flights. I'm really enjoying this series. They are much more down-to-earth and easier to relate to. Great work guys.
the 97% on time rate is the rate of the obb, you were travelling with DB. the deutsche bahn is know of some longgg delays and lot's of trains cancelled last minute
Love your Christmas Market Videos! Thank you for sharing. We are in the UK and think the Kraków Christmas market in Poland is absolutely fantastic .... really hope you got to see this too ❤
Wow what a Christmas DREAM !!🎄💫 We have always wanted to experience a white Christmas! The atmosphere and christmas cheer must be unreal! EUROPE is definitely on the bucket list for us - maybe a cool change from our time in the Philippines 🇵🇭 ☀ ✈
I think this video was better than part 1. There was more focus on the markets rather than travel and it felt more friendly. Good job guys. Thanks for giving us a good travel experience from afar.
Yay ! Glad Strasbourg was your winner for this episode ! Maybe next year you could do a tour of the Christmas markets in France ! In Alsace there are loads of local Christmas markets in Colmar, Kaysesberg, then in other regions they vary like in Provence nativity scenes are really different and food also is ^^ Paris is also nice in December !! Have a great European Christmas adventure !
OH my gosh I was in Basel Switzerland in 1996/1997 during the Holidays and to see all the sights again in this episode is so wonderful. I stood at the 3 countries location as well and I still have my gluhwein mug to this day. Thanks so much for bring back so many memories for me :)
I am sick at home and usually I expect you guys on Saturday. So when I saw this episode, I was so confused about what day it was because I've been home for so long already and had to double check everything again xD Going to watch it now
I began binge watching from the first episode just a little while ago. An absolute must watch. Such a treat and their experiences have not aged at all. It's as if they just filmed yesterday. The phenomenal quality Kara and Nate invested from day one is so appreciated. Kara poking Nate over the ferris wheell criticism years later is hilarious. 🤣😂🤣 They have made such positive impacts with everyone they meet. Especially their sponsors. I read comments as recently as last week on Facebook showing K & N love. One post left by Kuoda refers to them still, seven years later as friends. What a lovely life.
This video feels nostalgic… I think it’s the amazing yet chaotic energy and crazy travel days. Feels like old videos you two have done and I’m loving it 😂❤
Agree. Good old days filled with chaotic travel and local explorations! Everything we love K&N for. All these physical challenges are fun yet are getting boring.
I've been suffering from excruciating stomach pain all day. Comes n goes from day to day. Had this since Aug 2022. I finally got the pain under control today, now I have a splitting headache from crying and screaming in pain since 6am. So I thought I'd watch a little UA-cam, and to my surprise, Kara n Nate was there waiting for me, to make me feel better!!❤❤❤ Christmas and them, great medicine for the soul!!!❤❤❤❤
I‘m from Switzerland. And it‘s true: You can drink the water from the fountain. If not, they have to label it non-drinkebl-water (what is prety rare). Hope that helps 😊
Hey Kara and Nate, Sunita here from Indian Food stand, Time To Tea in Basel. It was pleasure having you and meeting you in person. Thank you for the special mention and to stop by. Look forward seeing you next time. Hugs🤗
Got a raclette sandwich at the Christmas Village in Philly, 🤤 - but yall should really end your Christmas Village tours in Philly....show us how different it is in comparison 😂
Greetings from Germany! The "97% on time" slogan is from the ÖBB which is the Austiran train provider. DB so the German one definitely does not brag about it as in 2022 only 65% were on time hahaha. Loving the videos! Keep it up.
Ngl people here in Germany are not happy about it either. To be fair though there is a huge amount of construction going on atm, in order to expand the railway network. Still not the best excuse to not being punctual. Hoping it improves in the future. If trains are punctual its an awesome mode of transport though and you have no chance of travelling the same distance by car in a similar time.@@rickycoker5830
Strasbuorg looks amazing!!! Between the market and the old-timey village houses, I could easily get wrapped up in that area and not want to leave, despite being cold.
WHAT??? Part 2 on a Wednesday??? JOY!!! I have loved and appreciate the Christmas Market sprint! Thanks for taking us along. 🎄❤ Kara: "So how early is too early for Glühwein?" 😂
I always love your videos but this series is absolutely my favorite. I’ve saved these as a part of my future Christmas traditions…at least til I can do my own trip to some of the markets!! Well done. Thanks!
As always, I'm sitting here smiling and laughing, watching the two of you have fun somewhere in the world we all are not, and your reactions and commentary carry us there with you! Have fun! Stay safe! Thank you!
This video really took me back. I remember going to these markets with my parents as a child when we lived in Germany. This year they brought one to the town we live and my wife and I are going on Saturday. I am looking forward to the food and wine.
I used to live in Strasbourg and I'm here in tears missing it and those Christmas markets!! Thank you for walking those streets and enjoying all that Strasbourg has to offer. It made my day. Joyeux Noel!!
I LOVE this series. What I find most interesting is that near me is the Philadelphia Christmas market that has a lot of the features of these markets including a light show projected on a building, gluwhein (10/10) and lit up shops and food stalls…and a skating rink …I have never been to European markets but Philly nailed it minus the old world city charm surrounding ❤️❤️❤️ Love love love your videos Merry Xmas
@KaraandNate when you do your challenges and subscribers have questions, is there some other way to contact you besides YT comments section? Because I live next door to Annapolis and I would love to have met up with you guys somewhere, but because you didn't reply to my comment, and I couldn't find any contact info, it didn't happen. But other KandN fans were able to. How?
Woo Hoo! (As Kara would say) I mentioned the idea of doing a train journey through Europe next year, visiting the various Christmas markets. And she said Yes! What a great idea Chris. (And no, I haven't put her straight that it was you guys that gave me the idea.) So keep that on the down low while I bask in the glow for the time being. If we have half as good a time as you two always seem to have, then I'll be overjoyed, and so will she, which makes it Double Happy. We will be going to Gothenburg, then flying south, then using the train. Strasbourg is already on the list, and it looks like a great choice. Can't wait for Part 3
I never comment on UA-cam videos, but I lived in Strasbourg in the early 00’s and I was there over Christmas. It was truly the most magical place. The cathedral Christmas market was actually my least favorite. Every little neighborhood has a “place” and most of those little “places” have a Christmas markets. My favorite was Place Kleber. It was so homey and beautiful. I’m so happy to have seen the place where I left my heart.
I miss my moms country Germany. She comes from a little town near Kassel. Watching your video brings back childhood memories. Thank you Kara and Nate for your travels.
Such an amazing surprise when my husband said there was a new Kara and Nate! These videos have to be some of my all time favorites. This is now on our bucket list!
I love this series! Few facts about switzerland: - If a fountain works, the water is always drinkable, otherwise there will be a sign that says so! - Basel is a very nice city, but the most known christmas market is at Montreux near the Leman Lake! You did well not going this year though, it was so overcrowded there were major incidents
We stayed in Strasburg this March and celebrated St. Patrick's Day at an Irish Pub with Beef Bourgonoin (sp) and it was amazing. We strolled thought Petite France and couldn't get enough. Several years ago we were leaving on a river cruise from Basel. They just happened to having an huge festival, where fell in love with Raclette...and Basel. Thanks for the fun, foody, Ghulweiny videos.
I cant believe you were in Basel!! I‘ve been watching your videos for such a long time. It‘s so surreal that you were in my hometown. Love your videos! I wish you a wonderfull christmas ❤️

@Kara Strasbourg was founded by Romans and was Germanic until in 1681 France took it until 1871 it became German again. After 1918 WW1 war it was taken by France again. The Glühwein, Spatleze you ate and many other dishes aren’t French Cuisine but German.
Hello Edwina season greetings 🎄⛄️
It’s the best feeling when you see that Kara and Nate notification on a Wednesday!❤
Rewatching these and really enjoy them. Kara’s French laugh is so good! 😆
Someone make them some homemade Kasspatzen!
they be missing out, Grüßle ausm Schwabendland my heart is also bleeding
Hello Lula season greetings 🎄⛄️
Kara and Nate, what an incredible series! Now I’m planning to visit the christmas markets in 2024 (thank you for sharing with us) Hugs from Brazil!
The ONLY thing getting me through this Holiday is the Kara and Nate Christmas Market series. Thank you guys so much! This type of series has been missed! Very old school Kara and Nate!
Kara and Nate anywhere in the world is a total vibe lol I love the positivity and excitement :)
Nate has the most lovey eyes and seems extra loving? Romantic? in these two videos towards Kara 🥰🥰 so sweet, he seems like a gem.
Really love this series! I feel like this is classic Kara and Nate and I think it's fantastic!
Love the Videos of the Christmas Markets, Lived in Munich for many years and the vibe you get in Strassburg, with the local markets is what you would have seen walking around Munich. Each neighborhood has its own vibe. The smaller more intimate markets are the best!
Hello Sarah season greetings 🎄⛄️
Omg completely agree I haven’t spent a snowy Christmas anymore!
I really appreciate that part 1 is shorter than part 2. I sort my watch later by time and having them in order is great for my OCD.
video on a weekday is the best treat!!!
OH my gosh I was in Basel Switzerland in 1996/1997 during the Holidays and to see all the sights again in this episode is so wonderful. I stood at the 3 countries location as well and I still have my gluhwein mug to this day. Thanks so much for bring back so many memories for me :)
Hello angel season greetings 🎄⛄️
I am sick at home and usually I expect you guys on Saturday. So when I saw this episode, I was so confused about what day it was because I've been home for so long already and had to double check everything again xD Going to watch it now
I’ve also been home sick for awhile. I hope you feel better soon!
@@jessieely5363 hope you feel better soon
@@YasashikuT thank you! You as well!
So I thought I'd watch a little UA-cam, and to my surprise, Kara n Nate was there waiting for me, to make me feel better!!❤❤❤
Christmas and them, great medicine for the soul!!!❤❤❤❤
Melissa….can relate…. Have you tried cbd oil as a help for the pain? I have Crohns, so know all about stomach issues. Wishing you pain free soonest! X
Hugs🤗
I would love to see this series again next year!!! Love the holiday markets 😊
8:33 LOL 🤣 if you know, you know.. much love fam ❤
Singapore
There’s nothing like a new Kara and Nate on a Wednesday!!!
Keep it up.
that is surprising considering germanys worldwide reputation for efficiency
Ngl people here in Germany are not happy about it either. To be fair though there is a huge amount of construction going on atm, in order to expand the railway network. Still not the best excuse to not being punctual. Hoping it improves in the future. If trains are punctual its an awesome mode of transport though and you have no chance of travelling the same distance by car in a similar time.@@rickycoker5830
In Europe, it's very well known that DB is one of the worst ran rail networks.
I love your vibe. Not much info in these videos, but you're always smiling so it makes me feel happier too :)
I love the European-backpackers Kara & Nate!
Strasbuorg looks amazing!!! Between the market and the old-timey village houses, I could easily get wrapped up in that area and not want to leave, despite being cold.
Kara is absolutely hilarious when tasting all the different foods😉😀 facial expressions are superb 🤭
YOU GUYS ARE SO GENUINE, THANK YOU! AND GOT SOME GREAT TIPS FROM YOU FOR OUR BASEL TO AMSTERDAM CHRISTMAS MARKET CRAWL IN A COUPLE MONTHS! MAHALO!!!
Well done. Thanks!
Hello Cheryl season greetings 🎄⛄️
As always, I'm sitting here smiling and laughing, watching the two of you have fun somewhere in the world we all are not, and your reactions and commentary carry us there with you!
Have fun! Stay safe! Thank you!
Kara & Nate?! On a Wednesday? Let's goooooooo! 💜💜💜💜
🥰🥳
This video really took me back. I remember going to these markets with my parents as a child when we lived in Germany. This year they brought one to the town we live and my wife and I are going on Saturday. I am looking forward to the food and wine.
I love this series! but I don't think I'm the only Dutch person who almost laughed out loud when you sad it looks like Amsterdam 😂
I am from Strasbourg and even though I don’t think it’s that similar to Amsterdam, I think the overall vibe is quite similar!
I used to live in Strasbourg and I'm here in tears missing it and those Christmas markets!! Thank you for walking those streets and enjoying all that Strasbourg has to offer. It made my day. Joyeux Noel!!
A Wednesday video. Preposterous!!
Your video just made my finals week less stressful!
❤️❤️❤️
@KaraandNate when you do your challenges and subscribers have questions, is there some other way to contact you besides YT comments section? Because I live next door to Annapolis and I would love to have met up with you guys somewhere, but because you didn't reply to my comment, and I couldn't find any contact info, it didn't happen. But other KandN fans were able to. How?
Woo Hoo! (As Kara would say)
I mentioned the idea of doing a train journey through Europe next year, visiting the various Christmas markets.
Haha, So I had to make a healthy leafy green salad just to counteract watching all that decadent delicious food! Oh my! So tempting!!!
Thank you So much for sharing! Y'all are So Appreciated. I think I can speak for all of your followers when I say," Keep it up , Please"
I don't watch any other travel vloggers or many other videos... thank you for all your work and how you share! enjoy!
Haven’t missed a video in years before since yall hit a million love every one ,was so happy about this one ,love from a Tennessean
Hello Dana season greetings 🎄⛄️
I love this series! Few facts about switzerland:
- If a fountain works, the water is always drinkable, otherwise there will be a sign that says so!
