For anyone reading this: I know that dog training can be difficult sometimes, but you're doing great. Keep up the good work, and your dog (and your own sanity) will thank you for it! ❤️💕
As a dog trainer I love your videoes. Clear directions/cues. I share your videoes with all my students especially those starting off in training who constantly drag their dog into positions. Thanks so much.
Thank you for the great content. I appreciate how you break down the skills needed. My Golden has loose leash walking down, but my Brittany is still struggling. I am a new subscriber and I look forward to your content.
Thanks so much and glad you are here 😊 Hopefully this helps with your Brittany. I have a peanut butter spoon video and the perfect walk video on the channel which may give you additional ideas to help you with a nice loose leash walk.
I love the way Blue Ivy looks at you :) Two questions: if I do this with two dogs (I try to walk them both at the same time because i only have so much time in my day) can I stack them both on the left side? What do I do if I have a dog that cannot eat and walk at the same time? Every time I give Sheba a treat, she stops and usually sits to each it (no matter how small or big) which breaks the motion.
Thank you 😊 Here’s a quick video on working with two dogs at once: ua-cam.com/video/mVo8MrEQhcw/v-deo.html You’ll want to work with them at home separately first, then together at home, then individually on the walk, and then bring them together for the walk. I tend to put one dog on each side when walking two but whatever works best for you is great! You can teach a dog to move and take treats, it’s just a matter of luring them with the treat and releasing the treat while you are still moving. Don’t stop if the dog stops while practicing at home. It’s like the old saying learning how to walk and chew gum at the same time 😊 just takes practice. I have a video on luring versus rewarding as well if you need more info on how to practice that. Best of luck! Let me know how it goes!
Nope! You can practice the exact same exercises with the right leg. Universally, the right side is called "side" and the left side is called "heel" but you can use whatever you like :)
Most videos on UA-cam that show heeling dogs use e collars. As someone who doesn't want to teach with an e collar this titling is useful for finding the video I want.

We just adopted a four month old Black Mouth Cur and appreciate your videos. This is our first larger dog. Do you have a favorite leash and collar?
I am definitely going to try your method.
Great! I’d love to hear how it goes for you 😊
Sarah I love your videos! They are so informational. Thank you so much for breaking this down the way that you did.
Ahh this is soooo helpful! Going to try this. My Rhodesian girl is reactive and still learning to walk along me not ahead of me.
So glad it’s helpful! 😊

My dog refuses dry kibble. Stuck using treats
If you're not using an ecollar, why put in the title that you're not using an ecollar?
