    Heck of a great video, myself I'm on the fence about electronics on a 2t . Just not sure of long term reliability but that bike sure did sound very crisp, the owner will enjoy it for sure. Went old school this week and got a air cooled 2024 XR650L to try out in the desert. Not a race bike by anymeans but a low maintenance sand and rock bike.
    Thanks for the video gave a great insight into the new KTM 2t. As for Beavis he had to try his best monroe pose by the fan 😂. Have fun at the new track. 🏜👍

      Yeah I still like the carbed smokers better. If you noticed the stator had a magnetic grab on the crank about 6 spots per rotation. They surely use more engine power for all them electronics and it kinda robs the motor of that free feeling. Even at idle it feels like theres more of a load on the motor than a carbed bike. Thats why these KTM's went down on power since going to fuel injection. I wonder if they will sell a kit down the road to convert them back to carbed bikes for the racer that needs that last HP back? Congrats on the XR650. Them things are torquey! I did a carb swap on one for a customer, we put a CRF450R carb on it. That thing pulled HARD! Super reliable too. Cool dual sport for sure. LoL, Monroe pose lol. Yes sir you have a great weekend of riding too!

    • @bradley7723
      @bradley7723 3 місяці тому

      @@UpAllNight91 I had no idea that the electronic injection took that much more power to turn. I did notice you had a harder time getting TDC but didn't realize that was due to the EFI and stator. Learned something new. Thanks again for the video and would be interested in how that bike performs after your tuning.
      A dremel tool with what I call the pencil attachment works great for porting. Dremel has a great assortment of stones, polishers etc. 🏜👍

    • @UpAllNight91
      @UpAllNight91  2 місяці тому

      I dont use a sealant. I know from the factory they do but I dont find it to be a issue where its needed, the gasket seems to seal just fine by itself. Removes the chance of the sealant hanging over and obstructing a port.

    Question I have a 2022 ktm 125 and it has 22 hours on it and I was wondering when I should do the top end on it

    • @UpAllNight91
      @UpAllNight91  21 день тому

      Hello. Depends on how hard she is being used. For a really fast rider on a 125 I wouldnt go longer than 15 hours on the piston. But for a very slow rider just using it in trails it can go 50 hours with no issues. An average rider somewhere in the middle, I suggest every 25 hours. I myself wont go over 25 hours on a piston on my own 125 at my skill level and how I'm using the bike. If you are unsure I would just do it at 25 hours and take note how the piston looks when you pull it out. If it looks great then you can extend it next time but if it looks toast then shorten it next time.

    Started having an issue with my 300xc tbi, Bogging/cutting out randomly…many things done, but I’m starting to think it’s a lean condition thats caused by fuel getting low. The pump pickup setup is not the greatest, especially in the xc models. I’m thinking air in introduced. I mostly ride track/jumps, maybe the sx tank design is better for that…
