I'm not expressing entitlement, but just pointing out one effect of it. I'm simply suddenly not good enough.... Still looking for loopholes though. 😏 Because I love all of you old grumpy sods so much. And I miss my Marmite! ❤️

My man, thank you for your passion. I lived in the UK from 2013 to 2015 and although I'm from Greece, this place truly felt like home to me. I am back in Greece since then with another failed attempt in 2017 to move back to the UK. However, back to base one one more, Athens it is. I haven't given up though. I'm still a firm believer of trying and failing and trying again until making it. London has changed a lot since I was roaming its streets and it's not the same ever after Brexit (for EU citizens the difference is unbearable). But again, the dream is not over. I have made it my sole purpose in life to come back to the country I felt like home and to eventually get the citizenship. It will be a long journey and I'm not sure when I can kick it off again, but all I know is that the fire in me still burns. You just gained a new subscriber, thank you for keeping my passion alive.
You'll get it, Theo. I've always believed we can achieve our dreams and goals in life... Yes, must be. disappointing for you with Brexit, but see it as a cloud with a silver lining... Next step full British Citizenship!!

If you dislike the foundations of British culture, you shouldn't insist on obtaining British citizenship and staying here and should instead immigrate to a place where your values are in sync with the society and the environment.
Congratulations!! We went the opposite way (UK -US) and had to stand with our hand our on heart while watching a video of soaring eagles and redwoods while "I'm glad to be an American" played. As a Northern CA native, dont knock the redwoods, they are truly a majestic sight and hope that you can one day see them for yourself. I never lived in England and cant really speak to Evans experience, but having lived in Spain and Sweden before coming back to the US, I noticed that Americans fly their flags far more than either country combined. In Spain and Sweden, are trying to quell nationalism , and some people will try to bully you and call you a fascist for flying a national flag, except for the rare holidays where the taboo is lifted. I think it's also because the US in the US you pledge allegiance to the flag and what it represents, while in Sweden and Spain the flag designs are still meaningful but different.

Sadly I wasn't born in the UK. But I partially grew up and went to school there. My heart is British through and throughout ❤️ All my British friends there are asking "When will you be moving here? You belong with us!" The plan was to potter about on the canals for as long as I'm able when retired. And in a flash over night, Brexit took all I've been working for away.

You know those people who are like, "If you don't like it here why don't you leave?!"
"Because it's really f'ing difficult to be allowed to live in another country!"

Many people that say that have never even been to another country, let alone looked into what it takes to move there.
Unless you go to America where everyone is allowed in and gets free education and health care, as long as they come from somewhere else.
Lots of Brits in the EU suddenly figuring this out, having voted for Brexit while cheering on the end of freedom of movement. It’s insane.
