For the price it seems to be a nice pen. Beautiful color. I agree that if there was black pinstripes on the barrel, it would have been a nice touch. Hong Dian makes a number of metal pens that are the same size. I find them to be a bit thin to my liking. The older I get the wider the grip needs to be. Still for 8 dollars it is certainly worth consideration. Looking forward to a detailed focus video, Garry. This is a good First Impressions, Garry
Thanks. I've used it a bit since recording the video. My biggest takeaway is that its just too think for me, I find it quite uncomfortable to use for anything more than a couple of sentences.
Hi Gary. I think your review is very useful and answers a number of questions in my mind. Do you think the black nib is a new Jinhao nib or is it the same size 5 nib in Jinhao 82, 992, 993...?
Been thinking of picking up one of these, as I've had no bad luck at all with Jinhao pens. Thanks for doing this review.

All the Jinhaos I have appear to have been tested with some blue ink. For such inexpensive pens they have been pretty good quality for me.
I've noticed that as well. It's part of the reason why I always clean out new pens when I get them.
Just bought one of this. So excited
I hope you enjoy it.

I don't have an 82 or 993, but I do think it is a different nib than in my 992s. I believe it is a #5 sized nib.
Reminds me of a Monteverde ritma without the magnetic cap
I've just added a new video idea to do a showdown video between the two.
🤠🤩London .... ? Like the illusion comparison..😊😊😊 Thanks for your kind words......and reveal
Not got one of these yet. Aluminium or heavier?
Not sure if its aluminium, but it is fairly light.
@@GarryEves it is similar I think to my Pilot Explorer. I put a Stub nib on my Explorer from a Metropolitan. It works very well.
Similar to Aurora KONA.
👍
assalamo alaycom.i think that jinhao is a japanesse mark.perhaps..
