Watching this and hearing Winston was taken from his mother absolutely broke my heart, so I can’t even begin to imagine the trauma he and other babies experience. And then seeing him thrive from the love and security you’ve given him my next thought was the realization that he’d have to go thru it all again when it comes time to leave you…so I was overjoyed when you addressed that very topic! Yes, please keep him and the other baby too! You are indeed their parent, and it would be cruel and wrong to take them away again. Hug those cute little adorable babies for me and everyone else who is grateful for all that you and others do to try to correct the horrific things other humans do.
It is heartbreaking seeing the effects of poaching on poor innocents like this unbearably precious munchkin. I wish there was a way to address poaching once and for all, but that's a pretty big societal issue probably driven by poverty. At the moment though, I'd settle for just being able to give Winston a cuddle 🥺 So glad he's safe and loved!! ❤️
I agree . I read a sad report just a few days ago.. ..they say if they ban poaching, it would actually make it worse. Hunters will do anytging to get their thrill or trophy. By stopping them, they would hunt even more ... This terrifies me ....for all animal kingdoms future. 😔😔😔
It is sad but when people say how it brakes their hearts to know how they are taken from their moms well it is no different, lets say, a dog breeder--that mom dog has a litter of pups and appropriately 4 to 6 weeks after birth they take those puppies 1 at a time and sell them to families who they find responsible people. OK, why does everyone think it is ok to take those puppies from the mom but they think it is not ok to take a monkey and sell it. Yes, I do understand that it is wrong and there are some nasty people out there but just like this man, there are many great people. So, it must brake your heart every time you see a person with a dog.

@@CDABXXX because of money, Winston can be taken care of. It's not money but culture. The cultures of the people who treat a primate like this are the problem. I spent two years on assignment in Africa providing humanitarian and medical aid when in the USAF. You'll see the moral and ethical mindset deeply rooted in those cultures. It's not good. Money helps and hurts. It's the culture of the individual that determines the outcome.
That's the problem you would never in the situation where you would have had to understood and neither have I. But if it's between poaching monkeys and feeding my family the monkeys have to go.

It is so incredible to see an animal walking upright and one can be forgiven to consider this adorable monkey like a human being....I hope his future will be bright....thanks for coming to his rescue 🙏💖
When a spider monkey walks upright it is a telling tale the primate has been in a captive situation. Wild spider monkeys don't walk upright. They run on all 4s.
I love how he explained the complaints he receives and how he responds to them. I hardly ever heard a rescuer say it in plain terms about the reality of raising these primates and having to keep them because they’ve been home raised and not in the wild.
YES, BEING RAISED IN A HOME MAYBE DIFF TO A WILD ONE BUT ONCE THEY HIT TEENAGE STAGE U HAVE NO HOPE. ITS ALL ABOUT HORMONES AND YES, I DO KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT SEEN WHAT ONE OF THESE MONKEYS CAN DO TO A BABY WHO HAD BEEN RAISED IN THE HOME FROM THE DAY IT WAS BORN ITS MOTHER HAD DIED AND MY FRIEND THOUGHT SHE WOULD BE ABLE TO LOOK AFTER IT SINCE SHE WORKS IN A WILDLIFE PARKHERE IN AUSTRALIA. SO U CANT TELL ME THAT NO MATTER IF ITS RASIED AT HOME ITS ALL OK BECAUSE ITS NOT, UNLESS U DESEX THE MONKEY AND GET ITS TEETH PULLED AND ITS NAILS PULLED OUT.
Yeah taking this little guy away would just be taking him away from yet another person he see's as his "mom" --- would be devastating to the little guy. Not to mention, he just wouldn't survive in the wild

Now the back yard belongs to HIM! No squirrels, birds, or anything is the enemy. He comes to me and flops on his back for the belly rub! He will actually fall asleep if I scratch and rub long enough! Plus the butt scratch just forward of his tail. That makes him happy and he will beat you with a wagging tail. Just a big puppy!
@D Flo416 the butt scratches I swear they love those alot

Watching this and hearing Winston was taken from his mother absolutely broke my heart, so I can’t even begin to imagine the trauma he and other babies experience. And then seeing him thrive from the love and security you’ve given him my next thought was the realization that he’d have to go thru it all again when it comes time to leave you…so I was overjoyed when you addressed that very topic! Yes, please keep him and the other baby too! You are indeed their parent, and it would be cruel and wrong to take them away again. You are a wonderful person to care for them, and I hope poachers can be a thing of the past ASAP.
I love when he runs up to the camera. He looks like an ecstatic little kid with some incredible news to tell you.

Thanks for saving this beautiful precious baby…!!!
So awesome to see them Happy….!!
It happens all the time in SE Asia. They kill the mothers so they can steal the babies to open up YT channels to make money. It's sickening how many channels there are and new ones keep opening every day
Someone stole baby from her mother, because have someone to buy them....
They are so adorable! This is a great rescue story. It’s the way he said “Wyn Wyn”😂😂😂 and the way the spider monkeys run for me 😂😂😂!
I know right 😂❤ so cute 🥰
The work you and the sanctuary do is so important, thank you!
I've heard it said by my parents, Anyone who Cares for and Loves Animals has to be a Very Good person 🙏👍
Hitler cared about animals.
Yes… my parents went to the shelter and adopted a dog just a few days after their wedding. Our family was never without a dog or cat or guinea pigs or a tank of fish… I definitely got my love for animals from their DNA ❤❤❤ This very moment my doggo is asleep on my feet. I so need another cup of coffee but I won’t disturb her 😊
So true! Bless you all.

Huge responsibility... they're almost little humans, so glad this man and his sanctuary are so fully understanding of that. Thank you so much and not just for caretaking of these beautiful Beings, but for loving them unconditionally💖

Because of money
@@CDABXXX because of money, Winston can be taken care of.
It's not money but culture. The cultures of the people who treat a primate like this are the problem.
I spent two years on assignment in Africa providing humanitarian and medical aid when in the USAF.
You'll see the moral and ethical mindset deeply rooted in those cultures. It's not good.
Money helps and hurts. It's the culture of the individual that determines the outcome.
Same here, those poachers are despicable people.🤬
That's the problem you would never in the situation where you would have had to understood and neither have I. But if it's between poaching monkeys and feeding my family the monkeys have to go.
@@christendomforu.s. Exactly. Those poachers have nothing. It's the people that buy and sell these animals that are the real problem.
It’s so important to recognize that we are only one species on this planet deserving of respect. I really admire that man and his group.
We are also the species who poach and make survival of other species difficult
If I see a bear in my yard you can bet I'm gonna show it the utmost respect and lock my doors
We are the only species who deserve respect? Bruh, I think you mean don't deserve.
Apart from a blessed handfuls, humanity has been the utter DOOM of this planet.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping these animals, seeing Winston run and play melted my heart 🤗
Oh my …. I’m going to explode from how cute he is.
If you're interested in getting a cute baby monkey just check out the Instagram page mentioned in my description section, it's managed by a legit breeder
I also love primates. When I was a kid, (in the 50’s lol) it was common to see primates purchased as pets. A lot of exotic animals were owned as pets. I’m glad that’s no longer the case. Thank you for the love and nurturing you give to these babies. You are blessed.
Where are you from?
Dang you're old
Yessir : It’s worse now then in the 40’s & 50’s Back then owners usually had the money to care for wild animals!! Now everyone is getting monkeys & exploiting them ( making 💰💰 on social media) MonkeyPox is on the rise in UK & US because wild animals are being sold online & smuggled into other Countries daily!! Primates carry many viruses transmittable to humans!!!
I hate primates.
I love primates . I am glad you are taking good care of them . I hope you have alot of help and the sanctuary continues to grow and thrive.

Beautiful
How lucky you both are to have found each other.
Watched this over and over, Winston is so precious.
