I have a 79 Ford 1 ton dually 4 x 4 with a 460 and it's a great truck. But even when we put together years ago, it belongs to my buddy back then. He really wanted to put a Cummins in it and that's long before all this became commonplace. So it's not a joke Cummings and I'm not even a fan of the Cummins swap. I probably would not do it myself. But this engine is a great engine. Besides some of your new Fords have Chevy transmissions right off the assembly line. And it's true some of your shoes have a Ford transmission right off the assembly line nowadays.
Yes Ford and Chevy designed a transmission together but each one still builds there own. You could not just swap one for the other. Just like Ford never put a Cummings in a pickup. Nor did they design one with them. It's his truck he can do what ever he wants. I'm sure it will be a great tuck but as a die hard Ford guy I just cringe everytime a Ford gets ruined. @@CAROLDDISCOVER-1983
@@rickstabell4814 I see it as an improvement. The 460 that I have has around 500 horsepower. It's a four-wheel drive 1 ton dulie. Now I would think they'd have to reinforce that Ford frame to handle the Cummings. But I hear you. I hate to see a small block 350 Chevy engine in a Model A or something like that.
Sounds like you have one badass truck. Don't see it as an improvement, now an indestructible 7.3 powerstroke yes. I don't care what brand people like or build to each their own. I just like brand loyalty. @@CAROLDDISCOVER-1983
sorry its a private junk yard that i am not giving out the location of at this time but email me if you have interest in something and the time it shows up in the video my email is route66roadrelics@gmail.com thanks for watching i do have a store in Seligman Arizona
I think you're around 5 or 6 minutes into your video the Chevy Crew cab probably about 1983 or so. You called in a Dodge in the point here is not the correct you on that. It's a point of its value! If it has a 454 especially. People are going 8 over these trucks! If it helps you make a buck or two down the line. I did see a couple I like.
Thank you for watching here is the part one video ua-cam.com/video/4kW1u0BRwYo/v-deo.html

Those Olds Delta 88 and Cutlass convertibles are rare and should be saved. No SS for Oldsmobile's just for Chevys. Thanks for the video, sir!
